Thank you! But my archives were stored on the internal sdcard and Recuva didnt find anything...is there any chance?

Try to use the diskdigger app, you might recover some data.

Well, it kinda works...only I cant recover my old photos...but I keep trying, if I can have any luck...
Otherwise, what other solutions are avaliable?

Sorry to sound cliche but have you set up any of Samsungs backup services, or used Dropbox? Your pictures might be uploaded to the server automatically if you did set it up in the first place.

Lost internal Memory Photos - Help!

Hey, I've lost all photos from my S3, when i was installing the JellyBean leak. There isn't any way to mount internal SD card? because all the apps that i downloaded to mount it, don't work. When I try to use a program to recover the photos (like recuva), don't recognize any disk. There is anything I can do? Like resign to recover anything ?
Try via Android Commander and locate your DCIM folder .
But you may have wiped it .
Photos will be in your Nandroid backup .

Did you do a nandroid backup before flashing the leaked Rom??
If no, then there's not much you can do about it.
The same thing happened to me too
Lost all the photos.. I had totally forgotten to backup the DCIM folder.

Hi!
I am facing the same problem here, but i have a nandroid backup...!
Can i retrieve photos from that??
No, Nandroid only backps the system, not the storage locations.
Sorry to hear you lost your data, but you most probably have no chance of getting them back.
I'd recommend using a sync tool to keep the important data (Call logs, SMS's, photos, ...) all stored on the cloud (usually Google servers) so even in worst-case scenarios you still have at least access to those.

Nandroid does not backup internal sdcard.. So most probably your photos are lost.. In future use drop box to sync your photos automatically.. You can never be too sure..
Also, use cwm rather than odin to flash firmwares..

I should think so, you might need a card reader, but I'm sure the software exists out there. Did you try this

ok i have card reader
With a card reader, Recuva on Windows works great.
Photorec and others on Linux. Many solutions. Don't write anything else on your card to limit the risk of writing new data in blocks to recover.

This is impossible. The Factory reset only deletes your installed Apps and data BUT no personal data that is stored on the internal sd card. Did you flash a ROM after this? If yes, was it CyanogenMod 10.1 or AOKP?

I used the Samsung Galaxy S3 ToolKit v7 to download and flash stock ROM since I wanted to go back for a while to test battery life, after it had flashed the stock ROM I checked and all the files was still there but TouchWiz and something else kept crashing so I went to 'Settings -> Back up and reset -> Factory data reset'. After this all files on internal sd are gone. I thought that it didn't delete them or I would have made a backup.
All I'm really bothered about is my Titanium backup files
Well you're outta luck. It warns you beforehand that it wipes all the internal memory... Sorry.

Why all your apps should still be available from the market .
TB backups can be set to EXT SD and also copied to a PC .

I know they're on the market, just takes longer having to download and log back into the apps and some are fairly big games, lost the game saves as well. I wanted the sms messages mainly, never mind, will be more careful next time.

This is why you use external SD for those backups and ALWAYS make a backup.

I need help to recover my deleted images from sd-card

when i going to install anew rom i formate sd-card by wrong and now i want to recover only images :silly: because its very important to me please any way to recover it
Try recovery software online. I haven't tried it myself but since you need it then go try it yourself.

Format = no recovery
There's nothing you can do. Technically if you "format" or delete something from within the filesystem, the actual object still exists until it is actually overwritten with a new object. However, since you cannot mount the internal storage as a USB mass storage device on a computer, you cannot use proper, PC based recovery programs.
There may be some Android based ones that work although, many wont as they will only work on your external SD card. Payinbg for one would be a massive risk and I have my doubts that any would find anything to restore.
Moving forward - to prevent this happening again in future, or at least to ensure if it does happen, you're covered, look into this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dk.tacit.android.foldersync.lite
I use this to sync my external and internal sd on alternative nights, to my PC that is always on over wifi whilst I sleep. I never lose any data. Also, images could auto upload to dropbox.
There is a software called recuva or something like that on the net. Try googling it. I did the same mistake once. I managed to retrieve some but not all. But at least some were recovered.

Recuva will only work on mass storage devices which as stated, cannot be achieved on internal storage of an s3

There are some apps which works on both Internal Storage & SD card.
Example : Undelete for Root Users
Undelete for Android is an application for root users that allows you to recover any deleted files from your SD card or internal storage.
From My Experience Undelete for Root Users is a very good app.
But Sadly Nothing can Restore any file that has been written over

First stop using the SD card anymore because it may over write the data. You just try SD card recovery software to scan your sd card, I have heard one software that is “Remo photo recovery tool” and this tool is appreciated by industry experts also according to testimonials. It may aid you to recover your data. good luck!

[Q] Recover image files out of a Nandroid backup?

Hey guys,
Last week i flashed CM11 in my S3. Before doing it, i did a nandroid backup via recovery and backed up apps + system data via TBP.
I didn´t realize that i had all my photos saved in my internal memory, so i didn´t save them before wiping.
Since i did a Nandroid, my photos must be stored there, right?
My question is:
Is it possible to recover all the pictures from that backup, without having to flash it? Maybe via "mskip" Gs3 Toolkit?
Thanks for your time!!
