Would someone mind pointing me to the line of code that mounts the sd card during the boot process? Thanks in advance.

Heyy All,
I have a couple of questions.. I wanted to partition my SD card so that apps2sd would work. Here are the steps i took:
Did a nandroid backup
I copied all information from SD card to my computer
rebooted phone into recovery
chose partition SD card when finished upgraded ext2 to ext3
copied and pasted all files back onto the SD card
nandroid restored
in recovery I am able to access all files on the SD card but when i reboot my phone an icon comes up in the notification bar that looks like a SD card with an exclamation point with the error "Blank SD card or unsupported file system"
Can anyone tell me how to fix this? or why my files are no longer on the SD card when I reboot my phone?
Thank you all very much!
You shouldn't have posted this in two different places. See my answer in the other thread.
Hi everyone, I have searched the forum but it returned mostly irrelevant result.
I am having some problem mounting the SD card on the phone in FreeX10 Beta 4. I hope the following information may be useful in assisting;
Stock Build number: 2.1.A.0.435
Baseband Version: 2.1.54
Somehow, the SD card mounts correctly in stock OS but in FreeX10, it keep prompting me to mount SD card. Mounting the card in the notification bar or settings proved to be futile. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Have you by any chance partitioned your SD card?
If that's the case, you need to format it into a single FAT32 partition again.

Thank you, a format to the SD card did the trick (Blocks of 16KiB). I did not partition my SD card though.
cant mount sd card
I have reformatted my sd card Fat32 and still not working??
As I was rooting my device, I realized the external microSD card is not the /sdcard and is actually /sdcard2 or /sdcard/ext_sd. I haven't pulled my microSD card to check, but I'm willing to bet its probably blank.
I'd like to have all data saved to my external microSD card versus the internal partitioned memory. Is that possible?
I'm not very familiar with linux. Is it as simple as modifying the vold.fstab so that microsd card is mounted as sdcard? And the internal memory is mounted as /int_sd? Obviously, I'd have to copy all the data from the current /sdcard to /sdcard2 for things to work properly after the edit.
Thanks in advance!
Just flashed my Bell MB860 to CM10 following an instruction guide I found on AndroidAuthority. It works great, I'm very happy to have Android 4 on a network that isn't going to support it.
But I can't mount my SD card anymore. I go to settings->storage-> and click mount SD card, and my notification bar first says "preparing SD card for use...", then it says "your SD card is now ready to safely remove". It unmounts it as fast as it can mount it. What the heck is going on here?
Thanks for any help in advance!
FIXED

Nevermind, fixed it. I had to reformat my SD card. Not sure how or why, but at some point in the ROM flashing process, it's partition table got corrupted. When I plugged the card into my computer, it was able to read the card's MFT and display the files, but it couldn't tell how much free space was available, it just said 0 bytes. Formatting appears to have fixed that problem. Good thing I backed it up before flashing.
Very weird.
Okay I did a dumb thing and hit factory reset from bootloader instead of hitting recovery. So now only twrp folder shows and I have to flash from my eternal sd card. When Im in the Rom (CM10) I have no internal memory. I recieve a need sd card message when I try to download from the browser and under storage settings it says mount sd card under internal but It never mounts. And in cm10 I cannot mount usb storage. Sooooo.... wth? Should I run an RUU or is there a simpler or less painful solution? HELP! Thanks!
P.S. Is this the answer from the F.A.Q?
"Help I flashed a new ROM/update/script and now I can't access my internal/external SD card Its OK, the SD card has been corrupted but you can reformat it with recovery itself or by using recovery to mount the card and formatting it by PC"
