You can play MP4 with HTC stock video player....., but if you want, you may use Core Player o TCMP player to play AVI and RMVB / RM, it runs MP4 also....
Try it it runs perfectly for me....dont forget to configure file associations and any of the 2 player i ve mentioned before
There are Core player, both of the players are good; but for me this is the best, even it can play FLV files!!!!!! with some codecs that TCMP dont play..
Just install the cab, then go to Menu----Tools------Preferences------and File associations.......Mark all the files you want to asociate...and enojy your videos.
Mod Edit: Warez is not permitted on XDA attachment removed, first and final warning.
dude do not post warez on this forum, core player is a commercial product.
Thank you for help. But my core play does not seem to support these formats. Is it because rate?
try tcpmp loads better
Is there anyone can answer the question ,which about "WIFI"?

hi at all!! i'm looking for a video player but anyone seems work right in this device.
in particular i would play flv video... tcpmp doesn't work, neither flash lite, core player, youtubeplayer...
could someone help??
thx
Mmmm...
I don't know about a player, but I do know of a free converter which you can then play any video file via Windows Media Player. I normally convert to VGA even though this device is QVGA, they play great!
Try this
coreplayer
Or free TCPMP (but not all version work fine on Rose).
hi i got a new europe telenor version of the hd2 rom v1.xxx.xxx radio 2.xxx.xx.51.x
the phone is awsome i instaled core player but i cant find how to ad subtitle ona divx file and where can i find good games for this phone if warez is not permited you can send me the link over private mesage
and one more thing the forum is AWSOME!!! u can find wvery thing you need for your phone
Coreplayear does not support subtitles.
TCPMP does - look for version published here this September.
i that that core player and tcmpc are the same thing i cant find that tcmp.. can you send me the link via pm?? thx
i'm away from my PC, but the file name was TCPMP-0.72RC2-ARM-REV27.CAB
i downloaded this TCPMP-0.72RC1-ARM-PPC-recomp-03 (can it do the job )? and how is the playback, on core player a 350mb divx file is exelent
it can no worse than coreplayer, but I'm afraid you need to do some search on xda - there were few threads on optimal settings for both apps, or you can fiddle with settings on your own and check with benchmark (both have it in options),
and BTW - subtitles in TCPMP work only in one video mode, not sure but probably GDI
what is that gdi mod anyway and core player as itsefl without optimisation is working gr8 hope i can play divx and avi files with subs on my hd2
the version of TCPMP I referred to is here, haven't tried yours
both apps can stutter from time to time, that's why it's good to set them to optimal settings - bit of googling will certainly not hurt you:
tcpmp, Coreplayer,
if you'll experience stutters, check LeoCPUSpeed - it disables CPU autoscaling
- goodnight -
ok thnx will try
This is just my personal build that works best for me. Made up of mostly old but a small percentage of new components from BIMBAM & LBE TEAM. Comes with 2 players. One plays FLV, FLV4, RMVB, the other player will not play these but will play MPEG2, VCD, SVCD, DVD & CINEPAK. Both players will play WMV, SVQ1/SVQ3, MP4, AVI, MPEG and many more common audio and video formats. I use one player as my main player cause it handles most formats except MPEG2 & CINEPAK. Both players are skinable.
TIPS:
Some QT files will play if the extention is changed from QT to MOV or AVI
VOB & DAT files will play if extention is changed to MPG. If the codec is MPEG1 they will play in Both players. VOB & DAT files are MPEG1 & MPEG2 videos so all will play.
No build of TCPMP will play FLV files that use the H.263 OR H.264 codecs but other files that use that use the H.263 & H.264 codecs will play.
The LYRIC plugin works very well. All you have to do is put the LRC file in the same folder as the MP3 and make sure the file names match and the lyrics for that song will play automatically when the song starts. The lyrics will not show if the MP3 has album art.

do you mind to send one to [email protected]
I can't access it due to company's firewall
By the way, is your new rmvb plug-in used in this one? Or should I update after install this one?
Thank you very much.

Hello,
Excellent work you have done, now if this program exceeds the capacity Core Player to play FLV videos, among many other formats ... Congratulations.
I am glad also that much development for Windows Mobile did not die in many cases ... thanks again.
Regards,
let's see how it works for me. i hope it doesn't crash like other tcpmp builds
great work of this build, specially for compability with MVU, now i can watch flv with fp6 codec from MVU, only problem when playing fp6 with res higher than 320x240 the video lag, hope to see fix for this codec
thanks

There is lots of skins floatin around for u to choose from. I personally do not use skins for TCPMP. I use it for one purpose, to watch videos. I think the simple look of TCPMP stands out against skined players.

Yes this is a known problem with TCPMP. FLV4 VP6 videos of a high resolution do stutter. I have found that FLV4 and WMV9 are the worst videos for TCPMP. They both have the same stutter problem. I believe it is the lack of hardware acceleration and not the codecs. Coreplayer has the same problem with WMV9 but WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER is hardware accelerated so they play very smooth.
Thanks a lot for this pack, works great for me
btw are there any players that can play FLV files that use the H.263 OR H.264 codec?

thanks for the info
I like TMCP , Thanks
Not able to download the file from 4shared . Any mirror?
Thanks.
thanks for this version. The other TCMP version wouldn't even play MP3s for some reason on my omnia II.
However, I tried to play an internet station .pls file and it says "cannot load URL". But if I use COREPLAYER on the same .pls it plays...
also, when I turn off my screen, the music stops playing.
hey everyone,
i've been searching the web for a while now and couldnt find out if there is a patch or something for htc video player to support .avi files.
its really important to me as i tend to watch movies on my hd2 a lot.
but tcpmp is not a great option, it kinda lowers the quality of the videos and kinda sucks.
IF there is a way to play .avi files, IT WOULD BE SO AWESOME, it has hardware acceleration and all.
thanks in advance.

In a word, no. The HTC video player won't answer your problems.
Setting up TCPMP correctly, however, will solve your problems.
Have a look at the following post and try setting up TCPMP/CorePlayer as suggested. It makes a world of difference!

The HD2 does support AVI. see thread and go to multimedia.
http://www.htc.com/uk/product/hd2/specification.html
But you must be using DivX AVI, or Xvid AVI... for HD2 use AVI MSMPEG4-V3 (*.avi) this works for movies. You can download a video converter via Google

Or he could read the answer above which will solve all his problems without converting a single file
Video Player that works!
If you are running Android on HD2 then take a look at this forum;

i also try to find the solution
Hi is any way to stream my movies from my computer that is runing windows7 to my sgs2 i mean somthing like windows media server please help thank you ????
GT-I9100 Tapatalk
Use Samsung preinstalled Allshare... Only some video formats supported.. As usual, the folders on pc should be shared on the network..this should be done by installing Allshare on pc... Set it run on boot... Or have to launch each time when streaming
You can also give Skifta a go from the Play store.
File Expert: Free on the market
Dolphin Browser: Free on market
Rockplayer: Free on market.
File Expert can browse windows network shares via WiFi, dolphinbrowser opens them as a Stream, and Rockplayer plays them (Definitly AVI formats, which is all I use)
Works pretty smoothly on N class WiFi, I've watched several episodes of American dad and a few movies on it in the bath (waterproof cycle case FTW!)
Using ES file explorer from google play to get access to my shares and play the streams with MX Video-Player. Everything works fine for me. Even .mkvs in 720p over WiFi are looking great and playing without lags.

Hello, I do this too I think ES File Explorer + MX Video player will give a higher quality (since you're opening the file itself, instead of getting a limited bitrate video stream).
I think you could use VideoLAN (vlc) to stream video to a dedicated port or something, you can always google about it if you want.
Good luck.
