They're on the phone's memory. I've tried kies but the phone is apparently in debugging mode
Thanks
if you have adb running you can pull using
adb pull /sdcard
and that will pull the entire /sdcard.

This requires thinking would not get my hopes up on it working for some people here.
Is there a reason you can't mount to a pc and browse the files on your computer?

Well you need to select mount on the phone (if it is not enabled beforehand), I guess with the screen foobar'd it is not an option.
ADB is your friend, there is not much thinking involved if you can understand written instructions on how to set it up.
Hello, I recently dropped my vibrant. I am trying to pull my media from my internal sd, but cannot. There is no way to mount the sd's without having a functional screen. I am wondering, is it possible to pull files from the internal sd while in download mode via some type of adb like cmd for example? I have already tried booting to recovery and counting clicks manually with the volume rockers to enable "mount usb" from recovery with no luck. I am hoping to just use my "jig" to get into download mode and type some kind of command into cmd to copy my priceless media to my pc hard drive. Unfortunately I am no dev or programmer and have no idea what commands those would be or if this is even possible. I do know there have been allot of threads started in these and other forums with allot of people responding who are in the same predicament. Any help would be more than appreciated. Thanks in advance. Im sorry for the super long post.
Here is my suggestion and i'm sure someone will have a better one. If you have adb installed, you can use a program called android commander to pull things off sd card while in recovery mode. Also you can screencast to see the recovery on your pc.
Thanks for your response. That's a great idea. I'll try that and report back. Fingers crossed

Thanks Alex, you saved the day! Android commander worked like a champ.

Hi, I have made a Multiboot USB-stick witch contains Win 7 install, Ubuntu Live, Hiren's and many other distros. But is it possible to some how move the files from the external SD-card on my android phone and make the computers boot directly from the phone?
Can you in that case force the phone to use the right usb-mode so that the computer recognizes it as a ordinary bootable USB-stick?
I saw some old post from 2009 where some user managed to get a computer too boot BCD from the phone. But the catch was that he had to click the "mount usb" on the phone directly after the PC started booting. And many computers may have passed the booting point before the USB-mode had finished mounting.
I tried booting Damn Small Linux from my Supersonic earlier with no luck. Android requires certain drivers to mount and the BIOS typically has the bare minimum to boot from USB, DVD, and HDD.

I'm sorry if this isn't what you are looking for as I don't have an answer to your specific question. But if you're just looking for a way to boot other OS's check out this thread:

Ah I'm sorry. Needed to sleep some more.. it sounds like that would be difficult to do though. You would need the phone to be mounted as USB before the computer even started booting. That's way beyond me though, good luck.

It seems feasible. Never tried it..
But, i would start by looking for an app called unetbootin. Its a free app that allows you to build a bootable flash drive. I've used is several times with actual flash drives. As long as your device is setup to allow the pc to mount it as a disk, in theory it should work.
As far as android accessing the disk after its been formatted, i have no idea.
I boot in with dual sd and yumi. But I think my boot file configuration is wrong or what..cus I'm trying to boot spotmau 2011. Which is unlisted iso. Anyone can provide a small bootable file so I can try boot it..

Mount USB via cwm, simple.

please help.
almost finished rooting my ATT HTC One.
windows 7 pc, TWRP, going off qbking youtube vids.
(i am exactly at the 7:30 mark of qbking77's youtube video "How to root HTC one"
i have sucessfully unlocked bootloader,
installed TWRP recovery, and able to pull up TWRP menu.
i first noticed (as i was trying to run a backup) that my "data" directory was gone.
so my phone basically is not seeing it's own "internal memory", but when i connect to my pc (usb)
my phone/driver installs just fine, i can see my HTC one directory and all contents....
everything is there, but it's just the phone isnt recognizing it's own internal storage (make sense?)
am i just in a wierd boot mode?
this is my first root....so hopefully i didnt mess something up too bad.
thanks for the help
aj

So I got this gtab for free. Just the tablet and round power cord. Turns on into CM recovery v2.5.1.1-bekit-0.8 and no operating system. I tried loading a rom from the usb and micro sd card. Plugged it into my win 10 pc via the mini usb and it tells me it's unreadable, or something. Does not show on windows. Could the problem be that I don't have the cable that goes into the bottom or did someone go delete happy and ruin something?
Make sure youbhave the drivers and try to load the correct ROM for the bootstrap you have. 1.1 or 1.2

as of right now I have no way to load anything onto the tablet. I need to know if I need the cord to load onto the tablet from a pc. I actually cannot do anything at all.

You can definitely load from a PC. They have a program called Odin to load the ROMs located in the dev section. Or you can load one via the sc card. Just search through this section. Its all there.
Most people have moved on from the gtab so support will be pretty limited.
It doesn't read a micro SD, usb, or mini usb, plus my comp won't recognize it. So how can I load something onto it? I have read a lot of posts but none have helped. I don't care about support, just figured I'd get it running and give it to my niece.
