Hi i would really appreciate if any one can help me.
i had no problem with my phone till today. Today i was using igo8 and i minimized it to make a call. but the call dint go through. and since after that i could not make or receive any calls.
The problem is i cannot get signal in my phone. i am able to connect to wifi, bluetooth and gps but no gsm signal.
i have Elegancia v10.0 rom and radio version 2.10.50.
I tried changing the radio but it doent help.

Has the phone turned the radio off?? by anychance?
have you tried a soft reset maybe a hard reset is on the way

Yes i performed soft and hard reset. flash stock rom and stock radio. but still no signal. i tried to use it on android but still no signal. i dont know whats wrong with it.
Hey guys. I'm a Vodafone TR user lately. I was happily using my HD2 for two weeks until one morning I found out that there was no connection. I tried both soft and hard reset. My phone was not imported by the distributer so I made the IMEI no recorded. (For info, in Turkey, if the IMEI no is not recorded in the national GSM system, the phone will be blocked in a few days). But it is not working again. So this evening I tried to use my wife's SIM card which belongs to another GSM operator-TR TURKCELL. What a surprise! It is working very well. Weird huh?
So what I am doing wrong?
ROM is 1.43.405.1
Radio is 2.04.50.22_2

afternoon all, bit of a newbie here but will try and get my problem accross.
I have an orange M3100 with whatever rom that comes with as standard, to make it except a t mobile sim i used the free unlocker from here, version 2. this all worked fine until 2 months later my phone locked up on me and i had to hard reset. this went ok until when it was loading the rom. it got to the orange2006.tsk and always froze. after many many attempts i noticed on the boot screen it said NO GSM. i looked around here and realised i had a corrupt radio or no radio at all. confused i downloaded the radio only 1.35 and installed. finally success my phone loaded the rom which by now i had the xda live 0.20 and the radio worked fine. the problems i am having now are that whenever the phone looses signal, it won't in the conventional sense try and search or show the icon saying no signal. it just shows the last known signal strength before it was lost and then when i do want to make a call or send an sms it says "Phone operation failed" and looses signal and then tries to lock on again. this is extremely annoying as my girlfriend has reminded me on many occassions when trying to contact me, she just cannot get through. it gives her a dead tone.
i have tried flashing the device with the proper orange rom off the site thats from romania or somewhere to get an offical orange radio rom on again and then i flashed to xda live 0.20 and its still doing it.
is my radio just buggered or is there a simple flash solution i can do to fix it.
the phone is currently using XDA live 0.20 with radio 1.35.00.11 and bootloader 1.4 super CID (i think, as i can load any rom on it)
also to point out the phone never did this loosing signal and not changing thing before i had to hard reset.

it seems the problems seem to stem from Edge here in the uk on orange. i never saw the E icon before i upgraded the radio shack and now its coming up and errors. i never get the hanging problem with that.
anyone suggest anything? as i know edge is faster gprs i dont think i can disable it

Consider changing your radio
I would start by changing to an older stable radio, perhaps 1.27. 1.27 is a very stable radio (in my experience), and it seems very tolerant. If that does not help, I would try to upgrade to the latest radio, 1.38. I am using it with the WM VI Black Ed. ROM without any problems here in the United States.

Couple of days ago I flashed my Vario II with the HTC 2.05 ROM + 1.38.10 Radio ROM. Before that, I was happily using the SA HTC 1.35 ROM.
After updating the ROM, I noticed that I could send and recieve texts, but not make or recieve any calls. I though it was just a network problem so I spent yesterday in Brighton visitng my sister.
Now, although I couldn't make or recieve any calls at home, when I got down to Brighton I was able to call. When I got home to my girlfriends later that night, I was able to connect to the web and browse a few pages (missed MOTD and Rugby. Needed the scores!).
Back at home today, and I'm still getting the same problem. I've now tried Radio ROM's 1.38.10, 1.35 and 1.27 without any luck.
If I force the signal to GSM, the signal strength shows 2 bars, so pretty weak. If I set it to Auto, it states that 3G is available and at full strength! Clearly its being reported incorrectly?
Now, is it the case that the 3G signal is just about detectable but too weak to send and recieve calls? Because it can detect a faint 3G signal, is that why it appears not to be falling back on GSM? I'm guessing here.
If thats the case, why the hell did I not get any problems with the 1.18 Radio ROM is the SA firmware?
I've found the location of my local T-Mobile Mast, so I'm going to pop over near it so I can rule out a signal problem. But apart from that, is there anything else that could be causing this problem?
Hi there, I seem to be having the same problem.
I have a week old Vario II, as my mobile number has yet to be ported to Tmobile I am still using my old phone.
However, evening I tried making a call from my Vario II and just received 3 beeps and a hang up. When the intended caller tried to call me back the phone rang but again ended the call after 1 ring. I tried a couple of different SIM cards with the same results.
I had SIM unlocked and SuperCID'd the handset a few days ago, and thought I may have buggered something up along the way so I done a hard reset. This time the 3G icon didn't appear but I was able to make calls. A few minutes later the 3G icon appeared and once again I was back to not being able to make/receive calls.
Gurubumsmack, have you managed to resolve your issues at all ?
Also being a bit wet behind the ears with the Hermes, what OS, Radio builds would you recommmend ?

Try forcing the Band to GSM instead of Auto (3G) and see what happens.
Mine is now working perfectly with the 1.38.10 Radio. I left it on GSM for a couple of days and then slapped it back to Auto (3G). Has been fine for about a week now touch wood.
The only fault I can put it down was a local transmitter issue.
I'm currently using the HTC 2.11 WM5 AKU3.3 ROM, which comes with the 1.38.10 Radio. Stability is top notch and speed great.
I decided to hold off flashing to WM6 until development on that settles down a bit. Literally a new ROM being released every week over there!
It's true that 2.11 WM5 AKU3.3 combined with 1.38.10 RADIO is rocking stable...
I have a weird issue with the phone- I have not decided yet if its problem with hardware or software.
At the first step, without change nothing, Suddenly a sharp drop at signal strength began. few days after, my phone stop connect to network at all. In the "operator select" screen, my operator appear but I get error "selected network unavailable".
I tried factory reset without succes. The only thing that worked was sbf to stock- but the signal still low and again, after few days, the connection lost.
I'm using gsm in israel- Already tried many rom's, so can't use warranty.
Maybe there something I can try before I give up?
Do you have better signal with some other phone?
Try another simcard.
Did you flash any radio as you wanted to do some days ago? Not all the SBFs change your radio, and maybe a bad radio is installed on your phone.

I asked about the other radio because this problem, but I didn't got a sure answer so I left the idea. I tried other sim but the problem didn't gone. And others phones works well at same place where the Photon doesn't. I ordered new sim from different operator- I will report after.
In case I want flash radio without full sbf, is it possible? Can I save my data without all the backups methods?

You can try KKDI radio here.
There are also 2 radios listed here, but ask someone with experience (like peetr_) before you try one of them. If you flash one, make sure it's the one for your build.

Hey guys, tried searching everywhere for this answer. After every phone call my radio resets each time. Started happening on CM11,then on ART MOD rom, and so on. Even tried flashing Stock LG ATT 4.1. I tried flashing different modems, stock att, hybrid , lte hybrid and so on. Any other ideas?

AT&T doesn't support voice over LTE. Every time you make a call, it switches to H+. Its supposed to switch back to LTE after hanging up. I had issues with it under artmod and the other kitkat stock bases.

Did your modem reset to were it would show no service and no data, then turn back on to H+ then LTE?

My question to all the developer here... can anyone help me please? i have LG Optimus G E970 at&t and having serious issue as it is not detecting sim network, everything is running fine except sim network. then my network not worked, i restore back to stock 4.1.2 but still same problem, no sim detected, i showed it to market developer and they said it is hardware issue while i told them its happened due to installing rom and one have tried on it all things as he was software engineer but no luck, then i gave it to repair shop and they changed its sim jack and insert everything perfectly, but still no network! though one changed in that now when i put sim its not showing but when i eject sim from the jack while phone on the message comes "Phone will restart to use GSM network" and then phone is restarting but same problem , no sim.....!
can anyone tell me exact solution for this? is it really hardware issue or software related? i m stuck up and spent heavy amount on it and still on risk.... i will appreciate your kind cooperation.... thanks in advance..

I have the same problem and tried everything I could...
If you are in a city area just flash .48 or .54 nexus 4 radio. You get your sim working and can call...
But this will have bad signal strength in Idea 2g network. All the best.
i'm also having the same problem. after every single phone call, the modem resets and the only option is to reboot it. downloaded the latest nightly and did a factory reset and flashed it but it still was re-setting. going to go back to stock.
I bought sprint Galaxy Note 3 unlocked from ebay India. Everyrhing work great in it but one problem and the biggest problem which can't be cured is UNSTABLE SIGNAL. Signal falls from full to no service and again gain network.
Did everything I can. Updated with latest stock rom, which automativally updates bootloader and modem.
Factory reset, cleaning and all, flashing new rom, changing to New Sim and trying every network Sim available.
There is nothing under the sun I didn't do.
I used this phone for a month without Sim and it worked normally without getting overheated. And I speak and chat on social sites like whatsap, Skype and it's works fine.
What is the real problem? Radio band compatability? Hardware? Antenna compatability?
I don't know what but this is the best phone I have ever used. If I can fix it, I would be the happiest one.
Please someone help.

Dial *#0011# key back and key input menu Q and input again 0000. Now open method information to nes and go network selection select automatic. restart ur device ! Done.
