So I bought my phone striaght out the AT&T store and I have heard repeatedly that the AT&T version of the Galaxy S II is the SGH-777 but when I boot my phone it always says GT-I9100....is there a difference? And if so does that mean I should be using a different forum to get my ROMs? Thanks for answering my question in advance and for any help provided.

I9100 is the international version of the SGSII. If you bought it new in the U.S. it should be an i777. If it has been flashed it could have an i9100 ROM on it, but if you got it from an AT$T store I doubt that's the case.

Yep, sounds like someone messed with this phone before! I'd take it back and exchange it!
I dont believe stores can sell refurbished phones, only online can sell them. Either someone in AT&T was messing around with a phone and flashed a custom rom on it, or somehow an international version got slipped in... but the box would have to be a blue/white/orange box with AT&T on it.

I could have sworn that it always said I9100 but truthfully I might not have noticed it til after I flashed.

Lol dang my bad y'all....honestly I had no idea what all that meant. I figured if I flashed a ROM from this forum there's no reason it should say I9100. You there was a point that none of y'all knew this stuff either. I can see what ppl post why the attitude forums...y'all just give it to ppl any kind of way. Most of y'all are grown enough to know if something bothers you....move on about your business. I'm grown enough to say thanks for your help in me realizing my mistake, despite the pissiness, now I'm done. I wont be posting anymore in this thread so if you're pissed enough to still comment and rage, have at it.

Before rooting my phone for the 1st time, I read the entire FAQ and knew that if I used methods that tripped the flash counter I would get the caution mark boot screen.
Your first post makes it seem like your phone came rooted from the store, when that wasn't the case.

More flashing going on in the movie than on the desk perhaps?
It wasn't so much that I didn't know which was which, I just downloaded the wrong MIUI version to the wrong phone while updating both of them, and the i897 in the file name just wasn't enough of a clue what with all the excitement on screen.
And no, no flashing on the screen. Waterboy if you must know...

Also, I give credit to whoever made the vr-theme script. I have looked and looked for the creator, but i cannot find he/she. If anyone can tell me who made the script, I would appreciate it.
Simple: Custom transparent weather works for all TW ROMS
One is completely transparent and one is transparent with just the land.
You MUST be rooted. ROM/android version does not matter as long as it's TW based.
To install this mod download the files and put them in any folder on your ext sdcard. Boot into recovery (I prefer TWRP) and go to install (install zip from sd card for other recoveries) and find the zip file you want to flash.
SHOULD work with any ROM that is TW based. If you have any requests comment on here or send me a pm.
(Requests can be on anything just state what you want and be clear about it)

Tried your mod. It screwed it up. Don't make false accusations. I pulled the images from the stock apk and made them transparent

Gramsey I was using yours have not used the ops, but you can't base of he used your work on when he released it. Nitroglycerin33 released his transparent widget probably a month before yours (it was on his website) that didn't mean you kanged his work without credit, did you?

Well that's fine and if you notice I wasnt accusing you. I was actually using yours as I said. I was just pointing out timing is not any proof at all. Also you don't know if he knows what he's doing our not honestly is not a hard mod and there's guides in t mobile to change the background anything.
His timing is a little suspect, but then download his and check to see if it's yours or not. If it is he could get banned and at the minimum this thread would be closed.

I also don't like people to be shady about stuff either. Just ask yourself how it looks to me. I know my first install method caused what you classify as "glitchy" however my zip I posted fixed all that. Then bam here comes your thread. That looks sketchy to me. Just Saying

Well you can think of it what ever you want. I flashed yours and my date got fkked up. So what did I do? I used es file explorer and extracted accuweatherwidget.apk to my sdcard extracted the apk to get the contents and edited the rest files to be transparent. Mind that the only ly files being molded are the weather bg. Funny how I made mone way before your thread was posted. I tried many others and they didn't work. So calm your pants

Also I don't need your instructions. I know how to flash on any phone. Got hired to be a programmer through my school and learned everything again, you may be a decent, but making false accusations will make you a laughing stock and brand yourself as a cry baby blaming others trying to say we stole your work. should have been dead a long time ago. It should have never started. You should have pm me instead and I would prove to you I didn't steal. I know you always pay directions , I know that and I'm not ignorant. I'm glad yours works for others and maybe not some. But I know this will work for anyone because it does not replace the apk. Use the vrtheme script instead that way you can just edit the pngs.

Ok, so back to the mod... It looks great, but when I click on the clock, it goes to the weather. Is there a way to Ref enable this? I use it for my alarm, and really don't want put a clock app on my home screen. Not a huge deal, just wondering if I'm missing something. Thanks!

True. I like some features that are available in other ROMs, so I usually use those. I'm not a big "flashaholic" like some, but I test some. I'm not remotely upset. Just sharing.
I'm loving this ROM so far but I have an issue when the phone rings. No matter what ringtone I set, it gives me the old rotary phone ring and doesnt stop even when I answer the call. So i'm talking to whoever and its still blasting that ring in my ear X(. any one get this or know how to fix it?
Im running the current 4.2.2 Port.

Is there any other way to tell which batch I got besides a small paper in the SD slot? I'm not sure why, but either I didn't get one in mine or it fell out before I realized it was there?

I don't think it's supposed to fall out.
I don't know of any other method, sorry.
The pull out in the sdcard slot should contain your phones year n week
On the font side at the top right is where you will see your batch no
Example: 14w20
Note this is for other ppl two, i did see that you solved
