I'm trying to repair the ESN on my Lg ax265, but when i use QPST's EFS explorer to read the NVM folder, there is no $SYS.ESN file.

Hi there guys so i got a Galaxy S II and amazing as it is I read a thread About the EFS folder now the good news is that i wrote down the IMEI number when i first got the phone but the bad news is that i flashed a lot of custom ROMS on it and from what i can see the EFS folder is empty what can i do to restore and back it up?
This thread is a good start. There are lots of others. Rather than using XDA's search facility (which is useless at the best of times), do a Google search & append XDA to your search query.
From there, you could try GS_II Repair from the Market (again, there are probably other apps which might help). And finally, last resort for people who don't backup their EFS when flashing custom roms/kernels like they should given how simple it is to do is to contact a member on here called Odia who might be able to 'recover' your IMEI for a small donation (a 'case of beer' does it, from what I've been told).
You if you go to settings > about phone what does it say on IMEI number ? Unknown ?
I use this app when my nvdata file crash https://play.google.com/store/apps/...GwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5oZWxyb3ouR1NJSV9SZXBhaXIiXQ..

what file browser did you use?
I used Es file explorer and the Efs folder was empty ,which is not possible since I haven't flashed any roms.
use root explorer and you will find that the folder is not empty (if you're lucky that is).

i'm using ES file explorer and the efs folder is not empty, everything is there
If you flashed a lot of custom roms one of them may have backed up efs folder at boot .
Check phone sd card for an efs backup file .

i have a LG F120 phone and rom! How to edit or open. TOT files?thanx!help me?
yo
you gotta use LG flash tools with corresponding dll file to match your model phone.
I want to completely rip a KDZ to find the system files like the "system" folder, the "bin" folder etc.
I guess they reside in the .fls files extracted from the .wdb file
Any idea?
Hi, Everyone
I was attempting to make a new backup of my HTC one using TWRP. For some odd reason, I can't find the file when I browse my phone SD. The TRWP folder has the old backup, but when I attempt to do a restore I can see the new files. I tried using the ES explorer app to find the missing backup files but nothing. I know for a fact that these files are stored somewhere and they are taking space on my HTC. Can I restored to an early restore and it will delete these files?
I'm new to the Android scene and still learning. Any suggestions will be gladly appreciated.
Thanks.

Nevermind, I found the solution. The problem is that the ES file explorer does not have root access to /data folder. I enable root access in ES file and there was the following folder: /data/media/twrp.
I was able to make a new folder in the /SD and copy the files to that location. Then I deleted the folder.
Hi, first of all i want to apologize for my bad english.
I got the problem that my IMEI is gone BUT i did make an backup before i installed a new room but i did just copy my efs folder and placed the copy in sdcard with ES Explorer so i have my original efs folder.
The problem is that i cant just replace it with the bad one or use any software to do it because its not a img backup file.
Is there a way for me to just replace the bad efs folder with the original? The bad efs folder is not empty.
I would really appreciate and solution for this
Use a rooted file explorer to paste the files, set permissions and reboot.
Solution is posted many times, use the search facility.
