Hey... i bought a microsoft bluetooth keyboard and i was wondering if i can connect it with my Blackstone. Well I can pair it... but not connect it and work it. I was reading about some HID modulators and whatever... is there really not a cab or soft that can make any bluetooth keyboard work with Touch HD?

Which external (infrared or bluetooth) keyboard is compatible with MDAIII? What would you recommend?
Install the new Unofficial patch by Broadcom (Available at this site...). It will add HID support for Bluetooth keyboards. After you do that, you can use the ThinkOutside Stowaway Bluetooth Keyboard and it'll pair and work like a charm! Gotta love it.
preternatural
I just picked up a ThinkOutside Stowaway Bluetooth keyboard.
After a few attempts at getting it setup, it now works great.
It's nice to be able to use the keyboard with the SX66 in portrait or landscape modes. I've seen it online for about $90.00

Pretty much any BT keyboard that supports the HID profile should work, as BT HID drivers are built into WM6. Keyboards supporting the SPP profile will require you to install a driver.
I've used a Freedom Universal keyboard with the last 3 generations of HTC devices -- Kaiser, Fuze, & Tilt 2.
thank you very much!
Yep, I have an old ThinkOutside Bluetooth keyboard that works fine as well.
Hi all,
Am thinking of getting a bluetooth keyboard and mouse, or maybe a combo..
A couple of questions...
a) Will this work, ie, a bluetooth keyboard on this device?
b) Can I bluetooth two (or more) separate devices? A separate bluetooth keyboard and mouse? Or will I have to get a combo keyboard and mouse?
Finally, any recomendations?
Thanks!
Both Logitech MX5000 and MX5500 combos work, but you have to connect the mouse and keybord separately.
Logitech Cordless MediaBoard Pro
Logitech Cordless MediaBoard Pro works perfectly as does the touchpad.
Pairs up, works great.
The upper "media" buttons don't work but they won't work for my laptop either.

Im looking to get a portable mouse and keyboard for my Galaxy Tab 7.7 to carry around with me as travelling companions. Keyboard needs to be compact and portable but with good feedback and all the right buttons. Any particular recommendations?
Hi,
I'd be interested in anyone's experiences with this as well. Anyone?
Note: my tab is not rooted or modded in anyway.
Here are the bluetooth devices i tried.
(Mouse)
Logitech v470 bluetooth mouse for netbooks
Apple Magic mouse
(Keyboard)
Apple Wireless Keyboard
Here are the results:
Apple Magic mouse - Does not work at all. (it does pair, and display as a input device.. but no cursor or response will work)
v470 bluetooth mouse - Works very well, shows up as Bluetooth Laser Travel Mouse.
Apple Wireless keyboard - Type on the stock browser lag, and it cause my attached v470 to lag as well! .. right now i do not know it is a keyboard issue or the bluetooth on the tab that cause this.
So i guess i might go get a logitech bluetooth keyboard for tablet to try it out
Thanks electro.
To add and answer my own question.
I am typing this on a Microsoft "Wireless Entertainment Keyboard 7000", which includes a touchpad. Both elements work a treat.
Is there a way to get a bluetooth keyboard/mouse to connect to the Tab without using the dongle? I~ ask because the tab would be a great replacement for my media PC under the TV if only I could attache the HDMI and get bluetooth to work with HIDs at the same time... As it is HDMI requires a pass-through in the power lead so there is no way to attach the bluetooth dongle. It is more than a little annoying that my £100 cheapo tab has seperate USB and HDMI connection and can do just this!

Aha! Found a way to do it! Just connect your bluetooth HID devices without using the dongle... It's obvious really when you think about it.
Anyway, I managed to do this with the above keyboard/mouse using an app on the Market which allows you to do just that - Bluetooth Keyboard Easyconnect. You tab needs to be rooted and the instructions are not necessarily clear. If you do try it, to connect you need to go back to the standard bluetooth interface, make you HID discoverable (push the button?) and then scan for bluetooth devices. Once it is found and you pair you then need to go back to the app and select the HID in there as well.
So now I have a nice extremely small media pc (but not) under the TV. Films, music, internet, work all there and controlled from my sofa.

They have newer versions of what I have, (RT-MWK02), but mine works really well. Very easy to pair up. Compact and light.
Typing does take a little bit getting use to but once you do, it works out great.
Haven't have any issues. Touch pad is real nice.
I've picked it up on Amazon.
Anyone else having issues trying to connect their Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse at the time same? Seems like I never had the problem before the 4.4.2 update which kinda sucks. Think KitKat might have broken multiple bluetooth at the same time connectivity...
On the ATT 4.4.2 Galaxy Mega.
I'm interested in using a bluetooth mouse on my galaxy mega, but i can't find it on phisical stores... just online!
The bluetooth mouse is great just can't use the keyboard at the same time. Guess I should can get a keyboard that has a built in track pad.
oh, i didn't know i can't use 2 bluetooth devices at the same time... at this point, as you said, a solution could be a keyboard with built-in trackpad. thanks!
Well it's a bit buggy because I can use my Pebble smart watch and mouse fine just having issues with the mouse and keyboard
