I would like to ask if someone can provide SIM unlocking code for my HTC Rose. Curently it is locked to UK ORANGE network. Unfortunatelly I do not have a credit card, so I can't use the advertised online sites.
My phone's IMEI is - 352681020985785
Thank you!
People are not very helpful here, are they?
Almost 100 views and not a single responce. It seems that the forum is loosing it's human face and is becoming more and more commercial!
God bless the few intusiasts that are still posting their work free of charge, just to be useful and helpful in this community.

It uses PayPal, but to be honest, I don't know if the site generates a proper code. Never used it.

Ok, I'm just ecstatic b/c I just got my Vario II unlocked! I did have to pay for it but I believe anyone can do it (I'm in the US and it was just horrible when I got the Vario 2 and it was locked to the T-mobile UK when I us T-mobile US and they weren't compatible--but this process worked and should work to unlock it to all GSM networks).
Well here's what I did --I bought the unlock code (38 USD) from www.gsmliberty.com and then downloaded the unlocking program from www.imei-check.co.uk/m3100unlock.php I followed the instructions for the "imei-check" page with the unlock code from the gsmliberty page (b/c they didn't have the proper unlocking program, but "imei-check" did). So I had to do it a few times, but if you remove your microSD and even the "spacer" it should work. (I tried it once and it didn't work; I reset the device then removed the "plastic microSD spacer" and then it worked--I'm not sure if that was the problem or not--we are just in the beginning stages of this development.)
Ok, so if you do it PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE download the USB monitoring programs as it seems the developers are in need of the code you can retrieve from the usb reads. Save the log files and let us know when you get them.
The first usb monitoring program is from http://www.hhdsoftware.com/Products/home/usb-monitor.html and download the trial. The second is from http://www.sourcequest.com/template.jsp;jsessionid=EDF03FE41E63246BF3446E94D94ABE03?PAGE_ID=homeTry and you can download the trial there too.
Please help the developers to figure out why this worked. Everyone's effort is needed!
If you need any other info from me, let me know and I'll do my best to help out with this endeavor.
[It's a bummer b/c I had been monitoring all my USB activity with the USB Monitor and then the SourceQuest one as well, but I kept having to restart and reset my device and thought I wouldn't have any luck, so the last time I did it, I didn't run those programs, and of course that's the time it work--wouldn't you know.]
Perhaps I'm misunderstanding, but you paid money to this company who appear to be providing codes for IMEI-Check's technology either legitimately, or, more likely, fraudulently. You then ask everyone else to spend money with this same company, and even ask them to help reverse engineer the original technology which IMEI-Check have spent time and money developing?
So, would it be fair to assume you work for GSM Liberty?
EH ? I don't get it ?
Why not just pay the $38 straight to IMEI-check and be done with it ?
Aside from the moral issue - I could understand (or at least see the point ) if the other company were selling codes for a lower price - but to suggest people pay the same amount to a third party company for the same code to use with IMEI check's unlocker is wierd , to say the least !
OR am I missing something ?
I'm not a spy.
I do apologize. I didn't realize that IMEI-check was working for the Vario 2, so when I found out that the gsmliberty unlocking was working I thought I'd tell everybody. (Originally IMEI-check wasn't able to unlock the Vario 2--there was reported problems on the other forums.)
So I looked for another option. And of course after you guys wrote, I see IMEI-check can unlock it, so I didn't mean any harm or immoral action--just development of the unlcoking software for the xda developers.
Cheaper to get the unlock code from t-mobile
does anyone know of a way to unlock the phone with any software from xda developers?

Look here. Was working properly for me.
Hello,
First of all, sorry for my bad English, I am French.
I have a HTC HD2 blocked on a phone operator (Orange)
I bought an unlock code (20€) on this web site (unlock-phone-htc.com) and after 92h, no answer, no contact.
Anybody knows this site? Is it a swindle?
I need help.. I want to get back my money or to have this unlock code.
If there is a method to unlock my phone for free, i take !
Thank for helping
PeillY0u
No way to do it for free sadly.
you need to chase up the site for a refund, but check you gave them the correct imei, if not its your own fault and no refund.
also chech around here there are a few recommended sites, just look harder (try the search option it works well )
But even if I gave a bad IMEI, it is not normal that I have no news ! And effectively they asks only once the EMEI number and typing error is easily made :/
I would personnally never want to give my IMEI to anyone. With all those IMEI scams floating around.. Never give ur IMEI. Unless possibly to ur phone provider or the police. Seriously though, why pay 20 euros on a website, that has high chances to be a scam, rather than bring it in a shop where you know the guy will not dissapear... It also costs 20 euros to do it in shops, so.. its not about saving money, is it?
Anyways, check ur spams, ask the website, annoy them. Try and leave comments that u get no answer, and try and discourage future people wanting to buy from this site to get scammed
I cannot believe after all this time there is no code generator where you input your IMEI number to get an unlock code for free on the Hero after all this time.
I have a custom rom and need to unlock my phone so I can use it on the "3 Network" but I cannot find any instructions for sim unlocking on a custom rom for T-Mobile. All the guides seem to be Orange related or are quite confusing with counter instructions throughout their respective threads.
Anyone know of a code generator (the sites that sell the codes must be using generators) or know of a reputable place to get the code to work through a custom rom?
I don't want to get a code and then discover that the code won't work on a custom rom on T-Mobile.
Thanks.
T-Mobile G2 Cronos Froyo 1.7.3
You can call your operatior and ask them for the code. Most of the time they will give you one.
Thanks for your reply, unfortunately, they said that they will charge me £15 for a phone which I now have bought off of them because I am at the end of my contract. The gits.
Are there no free code generators?
Have you ever tried Codes to unlock your mobile. Do you know how perfectly codes unlock your mobile. You need to see the comments of many sites which provide free codes. All are negative comments telling the codes generated were wrong and their attempts were over trying them over and over again. So I advice you not to go for any sort of code generators. Majority of Unlock codes(except free codes) got from network providers or other third parties works like Gem. You wont believe i have been unlocking my mobile using codes successfully with this guy WickedUnlock for many years.
Hello there !
I have a XPU witch is sim-locked to Orange UK and I need to unlock it.
If someone had such an experience and managed to unlock it successfully, please share with witch site, how much did you pay and how many keys did you receive (SIM, network, corporate...).
Actually any info about this manner would be of help, if you'd like to share. I've searched the threads and there are several posts (maybe 3) about people that did it but they all point to different sites. I would like to know if there are at least two members here witch used the same Or even better, maybe an alternative
Thank you!
just an update because I see over a hundred views
I used http://www.sonyericssoncodes.com
I found it in this thread, several people reported thah it worked for them
in my request I asked for the other codes as well (corporate, etc.) and they sent those too but I don't need them, I think
it's not cheap...I know....
Orange only charge £20 anyway http://help.orange.co.uk/orangeuk/support/personal/474187
Which is cheaper than that site.

and would be nice if I could use it but I'm not in the UK
got the phone off ebay
Last few days I've been reading and searching the forum up and down, to find some useful info about how to bypass network lock.... so far I'm even more confused than I was before.
The problem: my phone is locked to specific network and doesn't work with sim card from another provider. Is it possible to unlock it so I can use it on other networks?
Is it solvable? Does rooting help?
I've read a few threads about s-off, is that the thing I need ?
Thanks to the guys willing to help.
This might help?

Usually you can call your network provider and get an unlock code. Root and s off not related. S off not possible at the moment anyways.

They don't want to help me, because they want to force me to use their network sim while im out of my county, but roaming is way too expensive and cant afford it atm
Just ask around your area where you live and you'll find someone to sim unlock your phone (if not then try local market) or you could even buy the unlock code and do it yourself

guys, buying code is probably the last thing I'll do...
First of all I'm new in android but I'm curious more than enough, and I want to learn things... It would be great if senior or more experienced members share their thoughts on what's right and what's wrong and eventually save me a lot of time and nerves. It's funny how there are so few threads about unlocking network ? Perhaps because it's the fastest way to make good money for some ppl ?
I do have experience in maintenance of Linux systems, but I have no previous experience in rooting/unlocking or what so ever related to smart phones.
So ..... It would be great if any senior/experienced members shared their knowledge/experience on this subject (how to unlock phone so it can be used on different providers.)
As far as I can see Hasoon2000 AIO kit makes rooting as simple as it can get.... but will that remove network lock? I don't need to install any other access privileged apps, demanding games.....
ahhhhmmm..... :

Rooting doesn't SIM unlock the phone. It's not related to it at all.

I already told you that. There are tools for other devices, but not ours. The network should give the code, follow up with them, otherwise buy a code.

Fracking network provider. They say they will void any warranty if I use any unlocking code.... this is turning into nightmare.....
This is the last time I'll put my signature on any of their papers for sure....
Anyway frack them, any one can suggest me good, working online unlocking service that really works?
I think someone unlocked successfully using unlock-now.net
Flowed from my HTC branded muffin...
You can get the S58Data cleared via JTAG, that means your phone should be sim/network unlocked.
But you have to find some shop/person to have such a JTAG box...

It's Unlocked as you suggested, every thing works as it should. Thank you very much Sir!
btw. For all sin souls who bought phone from !!! carrier - VIP country - Macedonia !!!, avoid buying codes online, they are wrong, VIP operator has replaced original HTC codes with their own codes, which you can't have (they won't give them to you) ....
Thanks to all other guys for suggestions.
Glad you got it sorted out
Thanks for getting back to us, will help others. Network operators getting a bit uppity these days.
