Hi there, i need a new case for my HTC Diamond 2.
PO S451 -
This looks pretty good, but i can't find any more photos of it.
Has anybody some of them?
How is the closing of that case?
PO S322 -
Is it possible to use USB Headset while the phone is in case?
Is there a belt clip on it?
Has somebody here some of this cases?
Or is there any alternative?
Greetz

First impression
The bag is, as usual with HTC original accessories, packaged in a blister pack.
This form does the open quite difficult, the packing must be destroyed in a "try" is not possible in the store because the packaging does not close again.
Here's a not so tightly sealed border Währe been better.
In addition to the bag and the cover no more material is included.
The bag seems to be well made, is kept square and makes a very solid surface impression.
Interior is padded with light gray fabric.
Positive / Negative
Highlight the real fit for the Diamond is second
Also makes a great impression of a stable, there are all functions usable in the open state of the mobile phone, with the exception of the back camera!
The USB port is easily available.
When closed, but the volume buttons are covered in part.
Other points
The bag does not 100%.
The side supports protrude partially under the cover (see pictures).
This will probably after some time by themselves solve, is the beginning, however annoying.
Also includes the bag does not work properly, the closure strips about 2 mm should be further bent to the outside, should, however, with time release.
It should be noted that there is no "closure" in the sense of the pocket is a Verschlusstreifen, as shown in the pictures, closed.
This allows you to open the bag and close quickly.
Here it should be mentioned that stands out in my case, the protection of the bag on the side, although very minimal but on looking closely identified, time will show whether this affects in any way.

Hey guys..
The "pre-release" unboxings have a case, charger (including detachable USB cable) and headphones. Does anyone know it this is also likely for the release versions?
What about screen protectors and the suchlike? still awaiting ZAGG to post theirs on the site.. so is there one in the box?

Too bad for the pouch but didn’t get it either with the Diamond1. Already saw the TD2 in the phone store it really looked nice I HearThC the new look!
sry, wrong thread :-(
I got mine today (UK - Handtec) No pouch
Anyone get one?
Geez, I thought that they would include a better box for production models, that low quality cardboard is uncharacteristic for such an expensive device.
In this day and age, packaging has to be anything but excessive. The trading standards police come and check on you
Hello fellow Diamond-Lovers!
I just received my MDA Compact V, and guess what? It came with a pouch similar to the HTC PO S390 pouch (see sample pic). Difference is the size of course, and it has no HTC logo on it.
Cheers, Studebaker

Can we by this separate?
Mine also came with a leather case, but with the HTC logo engraved on it. Posted a picture in a review I did: http://www.dapreview.net/p/content/content.php?content.352
Does anyone know where we can buy the htc leather case for the td2? I think it's shocking that you don't get one in the box!!
There is no free included SD memory card?
No it doesn't have an included SD card, in my country the 4gb version costs around 15 euros, and the 8gb 30 euros.
It's not that expensive, but for me it is, one of the things that dissapoints me.
Wow, micro SD card in ur country is expensive, in my coutry kingston 8gb is 15euros...btw does the quality of microsd card affects the performance?
Hi,
Does anyone know where to get those thin leather pouchs for Diamond2? The ones that you only have to slip the phone inside ...

Hi,
I've got one of the slip pouches (FOR SALE) just like the one in the picture except it doesn't have the HTC logo. I ordered it from China and got fed up waiting so bought a different one. If interested drop me a PM.
Cheers
Jon
I just recieved one of the ones in your top photo for my diamond 2 today from a guy in china on ebay, it took about a week to arrive but was a bargain at under £6 delivered.
more can be found here (igonore the ones for the Touch HD):
http://phones.shop.ebay.co.uk/items...8028QQ_ssnZtmiplusQQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em282
the case is HTC branded and fits perfectly (no supprise)
I'll take some photos of it this evening.
Hi,
Thanks for your replies
Browsing ebay I've found two alternatives:
The one you pointed out:
Link
Which has some kind of strap to hold the device inside. Dunno how this works though, could you care to provide a brief explanation besides the pics?
Or another one:
Link
Which also states that is HTC original but seems a bit more robust, and the overall built quality seems better, but doesn't have anything to keep the device inside the pouch.
I will order one of these two, just have to decide which one lol
from just looking at those 2 photos i believe they're exactly the same case.
the strap you mention is only on one end and prevents the phone sliding right the way out when you slide it in. the strap material reminds me of a seatbelt but is much thinner. it is also shown on the 2nd photo above, its the lighter grey coloured bit in the end of the case shown. the inner lining of mine is soft felt which i believe is the same as the inner materia shown in the last photo above.
hope this helps!

Hi,
I order one today, it's the same as your 1st photo, and yes it has the HTC word on it.
See this link---> http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....57733&_sacat=See-All-Categories&_fvi=1&_rdc=1
i've upped some photos of the case and torres.sis and I have bought... photo 16 onwards in this set.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/sets/72157621095550158/
Ahhh finally I realized that the pouch is open on both sides
My first thought was that it was open on only one side and with the strap on the other one. Thats why I didn't get how the strap was supposed to work.
Thanks GavinAshford for the pics. I will order one of these for my TD2. £5.47 is quite a bargain from my pov
Yep, that's the point of the strap indeed. You can slide your phone inside from either end of the pouch.
I had it inside my phone original box and it's really usefull, doesn't make a big bulge in your pocket (as most of the pouch do), protects perfectly the phone and is very light.

Leather slip
I have one of these pouches and must say that it is quite good for the money. The strap is looped around the inside (assuming that mine is the same as the ones pictured) and allows the phone to be pulled out using the strap, and as you slide the phone back in the strap is pulled tight and secures the phone in place.
For £6 it seems like a bargain.
not sure for europe side but in Singapore, the pouch is part of the sales package.
got it with the sales package...
its really slim and comfortable to carry the device in pocket.
Europe version, as far as I know, does not include this pouch in the sales package
mine arrived at 5 min ago, quick service with quality product from the tmiplus ebay seller.

Car Holder: Ebay Link
Car Charger (HTC Original): Ebay Link

Ordered mine on July 12 so i guess I will have to wait a bit more.
I also ordered a car holder but it's for the vent not for the windshield.

Guys,
Not sure if any of you have seen this but we now have a selection of new brushes available for painting using a Tablet.
Nomad Brushes
These brushes are being marketed for the iPad but as is in most of the case, what works on the iPad's screen should work with other Tablets.
Basically I came across this yesterday and immediately started off a communication with a UK seller to ascertain if these new painting brushes would work with 'non-iPad' Tablets.
This UK company I found gave an excellent follow-up where we exchanged several messages during the course of the morning.
The outcome being by 2PM I decided I had enough information from them and ordered a pack of two brushes directly from said UK company.
The brushes I ordered as a pack were the Nomad Brush Short Tip and the Nomad Brush Long Tip.
(You can see all the brushes from the UK seller here.
Those outside UK can obtain all four brushes direct from Nomadbrush here).
The twin pack I ordered can be found for sale here.
Note: By ordering the twin pack you have a reduction of £5.
Anyway, this morning, some 18hrs later both brushes turned up at my door.
I signed for the package, hurriedly took them out of their respective boxes, loaded up Sketchbook Pro and set about trying them out.
I am very (no make that ecstatically excited) pleased to report both brushes work superbly.
Using a stylus for painting is one thing but using one of these brushes is just sheer magic.
Am I happy...... you bet I am.
Okay... Sorry but for UK shoppers only; I have managed to secure a 10% discount on any purchases from the shop I received my Brushes from.
To obtain the code simply click on the link at the web site HERE and note the code given. This will then get you 10% off the purchase price.
ok ok ok. lets give it a few days to settle in. I hope after a few days go by and the magic pixy dust washes off you feel the same. But as with the Jot you can see the diff in alot of our attitudes after a few days.
I like to draw, sketch, etc - for fun and would be interested to get your feedback again after a few more days of your testing- please report back.

That is what I call a little bit of negativity.
Also, I don't do Magic Pixy Dust.... I do research.
Besides, these brushes don't require any pressure whatsoever, nor do they need to be held at a specific angle so they're not going to have the issues you found with the Adonit Jot Stylus.
You look at them, they look like a real brush, they feel like a real brush and with the right software they perform like a real brush.
I can not see how these are going to fail.
I'm also sorting out a 10% discount for UK shoppers if they wish to purchase from the company I received mine from.

I can see how you might have read it that way across the pond and all-- but i actually was poking fun at myself.
Meaning sometimes when you get a new product it is like they sprinkled magic pixy dust on it and no matter what you will think it is great until the dust wears off....
But seriously- i would like to hear how you feel about them a few days from now- and your results if you tried with other drawing apps- maybe supernotes drawing app part-( i know it doesnt compare to sketchbook)
Okay Guys..... I have managed to get a 10% discount going for any purchases off the sale price from ALL items from the UK Store I purchased my Brushes from.
Sorry, it is only with the UK Store.
P.S. Yes, I paid full price for my brushes but I am very happy with the service I received (both written & delivery). As such I am happy to recommend them.
See the foot of Post 1 for details.
>> NYC SOURCE FOR GN3 S-VIEW CASES << - Chinese knock offs In stock and only $12 !!!
Note 3 brethren, I have a source for chineese sView cases in NYC for only $12. I was there today and picked up a white which is better quality then the black one I waited 15 days for from china. They have white, black and pink in stock. It says "with NFC" on the box, but I don't see any evidence of it. Here is the run down:
Feel: Tacky like the authentic BLACK Samsung back (the white Samsung back feels slick)
Simulated Stitching: Poor - Looks more like dimples, not anywhere as detailed as the real.
Hinge: Nice and flexible unlike some covers that are stiff and take time to break in.
Lining: Soft, but not anywhere near the quality of the real Samsung cases.
Overall the case is very passable - For $12 lousy bucks you cant go wrong. I know how PAINFUL the wait can be for a dam case from the far east so if your local, this is a great option. The place is located on 29th between 6 and Broadway - See pics below for store info
Enjoy the pics !!!!

And here is the black 1 from china - Nicer box, but lower quality (Box 2 the right)
This is how it showed up - with nasty marks at no extra charge:
Here is the NYC store:
If you live in NYC, take N or R train and get off 28th Street, and go to the direction to McD (6th Ave). The first store on the left is selling this "replica".
not worth it if you are looking for the s-view feature. it does not work if it does not have a chip.
hmm, this is tempting. I haveto go into the city for a training thursday in times square. if the 2 cases I ordered dont show up tomorrow and dont have any tracking updates, i may haveto walk the mile to this place.
Any other cases in this store worth mentioning? I may need an emergency case till spigen ships mine. This past weekend I was a bit of a drunken mess and dropped it already. I don't think I can trusted till the end of the month lol.
I love how it says " With NFC" and on the back it clearly does not have the contacts or the antenna to support NFC.
3 questions..
1. NFC has to be on for the S View covers to work ?
2. Do these have magnets or something for them to stay closed ?
3. Does this store sell just battery covers ?

If I pay you will you send me one of these cases to NC
Sent from my SM-N900T using xda app-developers app
Had to import this to Canada from the UK (unable to find where to buy this anywhere in North America, online or otherwise). Cheapest I found it online in the UK was from Fonejoy (paid around $40 CAD inc. tax after currency exchange - which actually seemed very reasonable for an OEM Sony case, which I assume would have been priced at around that same amount if not more in USD/CAD).
Not a huge fan of flip cases in general, but because its OEM I had to get it and sleep/wake functionality is a huge plus for me. If you have further questions, let me know and I'll try to answer them.
Pros
+ Best looking flip cover you can get (at a cost)
+ Fits like a glove when closed, extremely solid in the hand, can't beat the classy look
+ Camera cutout is the best I've seen, very recessed, solid, and has a separate cutout for the flash
+ Sleep/wake functionality (seems to be the about the same speed as pressing the power button... which IMO always has an annoying delay from the time you actually press it to when the screen comes on...)
Con
- The plastic lip on the upper right hand side of my unit is slightly crooked. Not a huge deal, and not worth sending back. Probably a manufacturing issue.
- Not a huge fan of the way the edges of the cover extend past the inner shell. It *can* cause the top cover to shift around when pressed, and also may bend or warp over time.

Hey dude, firstly thank you for this review as I've been considering this case myself as I previously owned a Z2 a few years ago and had the style cover for that and I really loved it (but not a big fan of flip cases myself).
I've just ordered a J&D gel case as I previously owned one of these for the original XA and I must say it fitted very well and looked very sleek. I will most likely consider the Style Cover very soon!
