Wifi Wireless tethering to TP2? - Droid Eris Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am using EvilEris v3.0 (ROOTED). I am using aNetshare and I am able to connect my laptop to the hotspot. For some reason when I use my Verizion Touch Pro2 in GSM mode and try to connect to the same hotspot with the smartphone it does not find the connection and the connection does not find the phone. What am I doing wrong? I did search and could not find a solution.
TIA

search the market for easy tether. I use this
Thanks, found a basic version of easy teether, will test it.

Free Wifi Hotspot?

I rooted my MoPho, but can't seem to get my PC to connect to the internet via the phone's wifi signal. I bought a Belkin N150 wireless USB adapter. I can get the computer to pick up the MpPho's signal and connect via Wireless Tether or Quick wifi hotspot lite, but the computer says no internet connection, even though the signal strength is excellent. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
read around the general forum and the faq forum also. you might get some ideas from them. as far as i go i use wifi tether 3.1 beta 8 and it works fine.

I still cant get my PC to feed off the MpPho's wifi hotspot despite it connecting and having an "ecellent" connection. Any thoughts? Much thanks.
install Data Enabler from market, Quick Wifi HotSpot Lite
step by step
1. disable 3G by Data Enabler.
2. open Quick Wifi HotSpot Lite and start tethering.
3. enable 4G
works 100%

[Q] Problem connecting from laptop with 802.11g to SGS2 in wireless tether mode

Hi, I've searched the forums for similar questions and didn't find anything.
I have a laptop that can connect only in 802.11b & 802.11g. When I run wireless tethering in my phone (enabling ap in wireless connections because I have the stock firmware), my laptop can't find the access point. It looks like the phone is using 802.11n by default when doing the wireless tether, preventing my laptop from connecting. If instead of using the built-in wireless adapter of my laptop, I use a wifi usb stick with 802.11n, I can connect without problems. I would like not having to use the stick, though.
How can I disable 802.11n when doing wireless tether in my phone?.
Maybe I have to download an app from the market in order to instruct my phone in doing the wireless tether in g mode?
Thanks in advance.
No one has an answer?

[Q] How to make the SGS3 work in 802.11g?

I want to use the wireless tether in my SGS3, but unfortunately, mi laptop only supports 802.11b/g, while the SGS3 also supports 802.11n. I can't connect from my laptop to the SGS3. The laptop "sees" the wifi hotspot and displays the settings of the hotspot as "802.11n", but it can't connect. I suppose the culprit is the wifi standard used.
Anyone has tried the built-in wireless tether in the SGS3?
Anyone has tried another wireless tether app?
I have tried Wireless Tether for root users and it doesn't work.
By the way, my phone is rooted.
Thanks.

Bridge tethered connection

I can currently tether my Verizon GS3 to my laptop using WiFi Tether for root users. I want to bridge a connection to my ethernet port so I can connect my original Xbox to play online via Xlink. Everything goes fine until I bridge the connections because I suddenly lose internet connection to my GS3. This has worked for me in the past when I used my OG Droid on a 3G connection. Anyone have any explanation on what could be causing it to not work?
My settings in WiFi tether are:
Device Profile: Generic ICS
Setup Method:Netd(master)
This is what I gathered was how to get wireless tethering to work for me, and it has.
