Canabalt v 2.0 ( fixed version) WVGA and VGA update - Windows Mobile Apps and Games

Ok this is the fixed version its a totally new level with the building bug fixed. The game is simple your player is running through buildings auto-matically, you can make the player jump by tapping on the screen.
I updated upon request of fans of the original game.

updated
Ok I made this version because the last one had a go throught building bug. If there is anything else you want added let me know.

versions
For those who played both versions can I get feedback on the 1 you liked best. Thank you!

I cant play it on WM2003Se, it keep telling "was not installed successfully. please run setup again" when i install the game with non-VGA version.
And, mine was QVGA, any problem with it?

This version is way better, much more smooth gameplay , video :

feedback
Ok thanks for the feedback I made sure this time was more improved. I will make more updates on this game.
This game is WVGA and there is a VGA version. QVGA will be in the future.

I installed it on my Touch Pro 2 and it runs pretty well. There are some weirdness occassionally and some double jump glitches. But other than that it plays a lot like the flash game.

feedback
Ok thanks I am the process of making an update for it. The update will take some time but will be even better.

Very nice, thx for your work and i wait of a qvga port

Hey Zarpy
can you upgrade the background like the original one? if you can, please do it, thanks alot!!!

You can make the character somewhat bigger...
Speed can be increased after reaching some points....

size and speed
Well the size is one of the changes I will make for this game. I will make the charactor larger for sure. As far as speed , I thought the speed was fine, but maybe I can add a little more. Thanks for the feedback!!

On omnia 2 install vga version successfull. When launch game this frozen the phone, only display a black screen and any hardware button work. Softreset required.

plz make for wqvga (240x400) : ) other than that great idea for a game very simple interface

Awsome game . . but too short .. we need more levels and with different backgrounds.!!!!

Well this isnt a paid game its freeware so I make the games for myself but share with others . If you want more free games I have a website with many free games for your enjoyment here
www.krenisiswinmobilegamesapps.com
Games like
doodle jump
super mario gun ( mario shooting goombas with a gun)
metal slug turbo
gears of war lite demo
pac-mario game

Can you put a "score" system? I like to have my scores saved to show for my friends how many points i got.

will there be a qvga for this???

would it be possible to make a skinnable version...
ie.. xml for speed, jump trigger, and custom level, and change images...

Perhaps you could use your skills to port other Canabalt style games like Robot Unicorn Attack or that 'Guy surfs a wave in a cave' game. Those would be completely sweet.

gFire - G sensor based game!

I am starting to write games for the G sensor based phones and this one has been tested on my HTC HD.
This is a project in development and I am trying to get ideas for how I can make this game a worthwhile project/something interesting.
The game is in many ways similar to the old game Asteroids... but a bit more basic. Control your yellow dot with the tilt of the phone, press on parts of the screen you want to fire. Avoid the enemy dots and try to fire at them.
I am looking for your ideas! - in particular, I am looking for suggestions on the following areas.
1. Graphics - image attachments would be amazing!
2. Score keeping
3. How to deal with lives/restarts
4. General game play - e.g. faster/slower/enemy counts & increment... anything really!
I want to make this game as simple as possible to play and very intuitive...
I look forward to any suggestions.
To install, just unzip the contents of the attachment (2 files) to any folder and then run gFire.exe. To exit the game, crash into an enemy and a button will appear to exit.
hey great idea i hope you keep it going.
I just installed it onto my hd2 but am struggling with the g sensor. i really struggle to get out of the corner with it. the response when firing is great though.
good luck.
trying it now.. will add video soon
same issue as @sike222 , the thing goes in to the corner and stays there ,no response top gSensor movement
Tested on WM6.5.3 on a diamond

[APP] Ubuntu Blackjack

I just started working on a series of card games for Ubuntu Touch. I think these will be great additions to the platform's app ecosystem. You can view some screenshots of my progress here: https://plus.google.com/110587021591787005452/posts/9yRiPbRxSFJ
Please let me know if you have suggestions
Is it possible to change the background color? All Ubuntu Touch applications have this ugly purple.
Maybe green would look good.
But great work!

Yeah, that can easily be changed. Green could look like a nice card table. I'll experiment. But, form follows function!

Yeah, that's true. But from the pictures I can't tell you what does work.
Are you going to publish your app on launchpad or do you want to make a paid app?

I finished nailing all the known bugs in blackjack, so that's completely functional.

I intend to publish it to launchpad soon, so the community can use it to develop better apps. I'll update this thread when I get around to that

Highlights include
-Device Convergence: Different layouts for different screen sizes
-Improved Game Play Features
-High Scores
Source code available: https://code.launchpad.net/~brad-4/ubuntu-blackjack/main
Can you add this to a ppa?, I use my Nexus 7 as my primary computer which is running Ubuntu Touch and would rather download a built package instead of compiling.
Thanks for the hard work by the way!!!

I wanted to share a few screenshots highlighting the progress of the Ubuntu Blackjack app. The app has seen a number of significant improvements since I last provided an update here:
When I began, I intended to include several card games in one app, but somebody suggested that I focus on one game and try to make it really enjoyable to play. The idea was that the game would be the experience that other developers see and want to emulate. I heeded this advice, and focused on blackjack. Initially, the game was very simple. A deck was generated, and the player simply drew cards, but there was no real motivation to continue playing. I implemented additional gameplay features so the game would involve a fair amount of strategy, rather than sheer luck. Still, the game needed an objective, so I devised a system for keeping score, with increased stakes as the rounds progress. Naturally, I had to add a database to store the top 10 scores! Later, I realized it would be nice to share high scores with friends, so I utilized the Online Accounts and Friends APIs to allow sharing of scores on social media networks. Hopefully this publicity will draw more users to the Ubuntu Touch platform.
Next, I focused on audio/visual improvements. I incorporated feedback from the Ubuntu community, including an Ubuntu design clinic, to implement designs that are simple and functional, yet visually appealing. I included realistic animations and textures. It was important that the design be convergent so it will look good on all screen sizes and take advantage of the available screen real estate as it scales up. Consequently, blackjack is a great way to pass a few minutes on phone, tablet, or desktop! Next, I packaged a rich set of free audio and added a toggle to the settings page, so the user can choose to play with sound for a more immersive experience.
I want the user experience to be pleasant from start to finish, not just while the game is loaded. To balance all these new features, I had to make changes to improve load time. I also decided to add a splash screen, so the user has visual feedback while loading is in progress. A splash screen is much more pleasant to look at than a blank white screen.
Download the app today from the click store on your Ubuntu Touch device and let me know what can be improved!

The game is done now. Thanks for interests!
Hi all.
I'm searching for someone who wants to make the graphics for a game that i bear in mind.
I have done nearly everything for the behaviour.
This game is an endless runner, and the graphics style is close to Flappy bird's one.

I'm sorry, but the game is done and published: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.stefanosiano.wavyfish.android
