Hello everyone,
I bricked my phone using Marketfix thats only supposed to be used on R2BA023 on my rooted x10a with R2BA024. I dont know why i was so stupid not to read the instructions.
I tried searching the forums to fix my problem and I tried using PC Companion's repair feature to no avail. I later found out about the flash tool to debrick my phone.
So I tried using flash tool with WWE_R1FA014 to debrick my X10a.
I renamed system.sin and userdata.sin and copied all the .sin files from WWE_R1FA014.
I tried running X10flash.bat but i received an error after a couple of mins:

Then when i try to boot up phone, it hangs on the Sony Ericsson boot screen.

After leaving the battery out of my phone for awhile and trying to re-root my phone, I was able to de-brick it and have successfully rooted it to R2BA024.

Hello Everyone;
I updated my X10 through SEUS and it failed to update while update reched at almost the end. Now i would like to use Flash Tool for a generic firmware but the one i can get is GUI based and for some reason it does not detect the FTF file and also my X10 while SEUS detects my X10 fine but again quits the process at the end. I have searched forum for the DOS based Flash Tool but unable to find it. If anyone can point me to the right thread where that DOS based Flash Tool is posted along with the Generic Firmware and Baseband, i would be really obliged.
I have searched a lot but could not find anything.
Any help please.
There's no DOS-based flashtool, there was one launched from the terminal using java. Anyway, the GUI-one IS better. Put everything under "firmware" folder, it'll be detected.
Hi everyone
I really need your help guys, I'm desperate!! I wanted to upadate my x10 mini to froyobread following all the instructions.
1. I rooted the phone with SuperOneClick
2. I flashed it using FlashTool, and here is the problem: I used a different firmware (e15i_2.1.1.a.0.6_Nordic) <--- That's the firmware for Xperia X8. The flashing was succesful, but when it finished, the phone started rebooting over and over with only a blackscreen (no SE logo).
I've tried many ways to restore the phone, such as:
1- FlashTool with a firmware for x10 mini (The problem is I need to check "USB Debugging" inside the O.S., so I couldn't repair it this way.
2- I tried PC Companion and SEUS but when I follow the program steps it says "Your phone is up to date so no needs bla bla bla..."
I don't know what else to do... I'm frustrated and really hope you can help me guys.

SOLVED:
Finally I fixed the problem flashing with x10flash and 1.6 android firmware (it's called "E10i_1.6 1.2.A.1.174 406.7z"). (x10flash isn't the same as Flashtool, so if you wanna recover to life your phone, you must use x10flash)
I put the rar files of the firmware 1.6 inside the "firmware" folder from "X10Flash-2.1" and then I flashed with the X10flash.bat file.
After that, when te x10flash.bat was opened, I select number "2" and then "N". Next, you have to select your operative system. (win xp, vista, 7, etc)
Finally, you can install the rom or baseband whatever you want.
(I can't put the links 'cos I'm a new member, but you can google them)

hi guys,
I tried the lasers unlock method with the guide of lukas, but unfortunately without any succes. i got always the error " adb server didn´t ACK".
many adb.exe´s appeared in the task manager, could that be the problem? I also tried to kill them, but they kept appearing and appearing and after a while the batch file finished unsuccessfully
So I tried the unlock feature of the flashtool, but somehow my device isn´t being recognized in flash mode.
the message " waiting for device" doesn´t disappear after I have plugged in my x10 in flash mode.
my setup:
wb 6s 2.3.3
stock kernel
windows xp 32 bit

Having looked around, almost smashed my computer & phone to bits i thought I'd ask on here if anyone can help me out here. I have an Xpreia X10 Mini Pro.. It had Android 1.6 and i wanted to update it to 2.1.. (network locked to 3)
Two things happened here, PC Companion didn't work on my PC.. Dont know why, so i used SEUS(Sony Ericsson Update Service) to get me the update. This update downloaded successfully, then decided it would give up after about 5% of install.. Bricking my phone.
So i downloaded Flashtool. Great! (i thought). I installed everything, downloaded the UK 2.1 firmware in .SIN format, compiled it (or bundled). I had a rough idea of what i was doing however two steps were missed by the tutorial on this site.
My Flashtool asked me on bundling what model my phone was, there were 2 option which may apply, the first: Xperia Mini Pro, the second, X10. i chose X10.
then asked me if i wanted a locked bootloader or unlocked. ?! not knowing what this meant i opted to make two ftf files, the first with the locked second with unlocked.
none of those worked.. this is what i got in flashtool log:

By the sounds of it you downloaded the latest flashtool which doesnt support our x10 mini pro. Try downloading an earlyer one and try again.

i opend the booloader downloaded the right firmware and deleted all the ta files, tried using New flasher but the device stuck on loop that the software is corrupted and i cant fix it using the xperia companion because it says the device is locked and less than 50% battery. PLEASE HELP ME
