Louder volumne hack
Does anyone know if we can use this hack for the Streak?

Yes I saw you note the other day requesting information about some system files. How are things going with that at the moment?
Was it also you or maybe another post on the thread about the 2.1 being louder than 1.6 I agree the speaker on the device is now a lot clearer n’ louder but I think the headphone output is lower than with 1.6
Just my opinoin tho.

It doesn't work on the Streak. No amount of help will get it working i'm afraid

Chin up chap, I'm sure you will get some help. It is a really new device it will take a while for all the Dev's to familiarise themselves with it all.

i've been getting some help from @VogelDerNacht on twitter and he's informed me that it's set on boot via the kernel. There's another reason we need Dell to release the damn kernel source

What's backwards?
I swapped kernels in the boot.img, a few other things.
hey miguel what's the status on that port? There's something about Sense roms that i just love lol

As we all know we have the alpha port of gingerbread on our phones, but several things lack.
Gps
Voice command
Etc.
For the things missing, cant u take those drivers from a froyo build and use that for now? Just so us people on xda have a better look at gingerbread.

Short answer is no. They are doing their absolute best to get it ported over. Until then, enjoy the gingerbread themed roms. Bascially everything gingerbread that can easily be moved into froyo has been.

that wont work. gps drivers couldnt be ported from eclair to froyo so for now the answer is no. it is possible just not easy with sgs phones

Hey people, ive seen ICS on the G1 and the nexus one, i know its possible so, is anyone gonna port it to the Optimus V?!?!?
They are currently working on something at android central. It may take a while, they are doing a lot though, from what I know they are getting closer though
Not in this lifetime, sorry. Not that the device isn't capable of running it with some expected hardcore lag, but you need a working kernel and even if you got one that boots, hw still sucks ass and wouldn't be usable enough to like.

After xmas i can test some builds for you if needed. How you gonna cm13 if theres only ANDROID WEAR builds.
Was thinking about roms too . but not as easy as it use to be

Well I got su power and twrp to work on this device. I am going to be working on this over the weekend and into next. They have cm12.1 working on moto 360. So yes everything possible bud

Sorry man. As you can read other people posts. In reality. This watch is not worth doing anymore development on. I tried everything under the sun to get things done to it. So I went ahead and sold my zenwatch 2. And replaced with s2 watch. S2 watch is a way better device. Which I think it's only solid piece Sammy makes. Sorry to put everyone hopes up.

Then it might has something to do with your device since I dont have any issues.
But I have a question, I've found a reason to root, but just in case, do you know how I can make a system.img that I can flash in fastboot when something goes wrong?

Same here, id like to be able to enable some more cores other than just the one. Soon and hopefully i wont break the watch, ill tinker with twrp to push superuser or root somehow
So maybe itll be a learning experience for us

I am happy with the gift I got for christmas, however im sure with root it would make it just a bit better before I can shell out 400 dollars for a new watch that looks better.
I know that there isnt kernel source, and that sucks. But I really am hoping that any other mods can work with it.

Im scared that something goes wrong and that my watch will stay in a bootloop.
Because they dont have fastboot images so I cant fix it.

My watch has a bluetooth only connection inside my house at a distance of about 12 meters ... through walls.
Sounds interesting. Getting kinda tired of not having root or much development.. If u need help with testing , hmu. Thanks .
