Hi guys,
I know there are a few threads on here, but they seem to die off back in May time.
Gfs just got an x10 from Orange. There is no branding on the handset, or indeed any of the menus, but when you open the browser it goes straight to Orange.
It's also sim locked to Orange. I guess it's branded, but how would I know for sure?
Also, what is the latest easiest process for debranding?
Thanks
Have you tried the search button? Its pretty useful at times like this when all your questions already have answers
To debrand follow steps 1 to 5 HERE then run SEUS, to unlock contact Orange or search online.
I've just managed to root my X10a with Wolfs ROM after these steps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1193753
Now I have a generic x10i 2.3.3 Android Vers.
How can I unlock the phone?
Thank you.
Best regards,
George Neata
The site I used to unlock my X10 was http://www.cellunlocker.net ... cost me $7.99, and the code was sent in roughly 30 minutes.

If you want to unlock the bootloader, see this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1256430. Worked great for me.
If you're talking the regional restrictions, I'm not sure, but Google it and you'll find some sites that charge for it. There should be a free method somewhere.
Here's the situation,
i've read all over the topics in this forum and in the development section, but i still haven't found what i wanted to know.
The device has Win 7.0.7 ecc so, no 7.5. I want to understand if there's a method for one of the two systems to be unlocked, i mean unlock the bootloader, to install new roms, different from the stock one.
If this option exists i'd actually appreciate it if you could link a guide or tell me.
For what concernes the debrand of the device, i boght it at TIM in my country, but i don't think it's branded. Anyway i think i will try to debrand it with the goldcard, just to be sure.
thanks for the attention!
Why don't you just update it? ... i've had the first version too (7004) and i've done it pretty easly by forcing
Hello everyone,
A friend of mine has recently bought a Neo V and I wouldn't like to miss the opportunity to tinker a bit with it
The thing is that, as the phone is subsidized, it will come with the operator's personalization, that usually clogs the phone, and I would like to debrand it, and leave her with the latest, stock SE's rom. Furthermore, I've read that there are chances of ICS coming to this phone, if I'm not wrong, from SE, but I think it's quite unlikely that her operator takes the time to release an update. I'm not interested in sim unlocking.
So, if I understood correctly, the only way to get a generic, debranded firmware is to unlock the bootloader, and that will cause the voiding of the warranty, isn't it?
EDIT: I was not interested in rooting to get privileges, basic user is enough for my friend, but it seems that (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1133650, at least in the Arc) you can get generic roms by rooting, and that wouldn't void your warranty, is that right?
you will void warranty only if you unlock the boot-loader , nothing else will void it
rooting will not void warranty
i want to debrand my neo
what to do?
what is my option?
any tutorial?
forgive me,i'm new to android
if i debrand can i update to
oficial rom later?
I just debranded my Neo with wotanserver. Easy as pie.
One thing I just have to mention is I have Android 2.3.3 and I am aware of 2.3.4 and future 4.0, but when I try software update it just keeps telling me I already have latest software.
I don't have any sim card in phone does that affect it?
