Hi All,
Not sure if this is the right place to post this but i'm going to try anyway:
I've just recently downloaded adbWireless on my x10 mini but on the load screen of the app i've only got half the page - the part that i actually need is hidden and i can't scroll down... obviously because of the screen size... is there any other way to show the rest?
Surely i can't be the only experiencing this?
Thx.
Nvm, i see they released an update which fixed it.
Has anybody got this to work on the Mini?
I´ve tried the app yesterday, but no success. Display issues commented earlier are fixed, but i can´t connect with the device. Tried to restart the tcpip 5555 port through adb shell when usb connected, but no luck (it always returns an error).
Exactly the same thing happening to me - although every now and then i get a widget popping up in the status bar saying that's it's been enabled.
Still can't connect to it though...

Hey all,
I've been facing this peculiar problem for the past few days now. I'm running Microsoft ActivSync 4.5 on my system and have been using Gullum's prophet X ROM for a while. I have in the past installed and used several other ROMs with no problem at all (thanks to all the members' support here).
Today when I tried to install a new ROM and connected my Prophet to the USB, it made a peculiar sound instead of the normal ting-tong sound which signals a connection with the computer. Today it made 3 short sounds instead of the regular ting tong. It made tong-tong-tong and did not connect to activsync.
I am able to see the red led light on when the usb is connected and my prophet battery gets charged but Activsync states Not Connected.
I've tried soft resetting which did not solve the problem, I tried rebooting my system but didnt help as well. But when I tried to connect another Prophet(my friend's) it connects fine with a regular ting-tong and ActivSync says connected and syncronizes.
Please help...
Thank you.
After a lot of fiddling around with my phone, I finally managed to find the culprit. In case someone else faces the same problem, try this. This is where the problem was:
Start - Settings - System tab - "USB to PC"
Uncheck the check box that says - "Enable advanced network functionality" and voila, I was able to connect and update my ROM with ease.
Thank you,
CC
thankyou for this, ive just searched the forum and this 1 came up and it worked for me.
I have my Lumia 920 for about 10 days now and so far I really love it.
Unfortunately now I have a serious issue. Before I went to bed last night I hocked up my Lumia to my PC (Windows 7 Enterprise x64 with all the latest updates) and copied over about 6 GB of music through Windows Explorer.
It all worked perfectly and I also had the Lumia connected to my PC and transfered data using Windows Explorer several times before without any issues.
But when I hooked up my Lumia to my PC again just a few minutes ago it showed up as empty in Windows Explorer. It shows up as Windows Phone and when I right click on it and select Properties it also shows that it's a Lumia 920 and the current battery status but it doesn't show any folders/files.
I already tried rebooting the Lumia several times, tried a different Micro USB cable and even tried to hook it up to my Notebook (also Windows 7 Enterprise x64) - but it is always the same - it shows up in Windows Explorer but it doesn't show any files or folders.
I haven't installed any drivers for the Lumia on my PC except the ones that came with Nokia Care Suite which I used to flash it to a different country variant firmware. But until a few hours ago it worked like a charm and I haven't really changed ANYTHING neither on the Lumia nor on the PC.
Does anyone has any advice on what else I could do?
Thanks
Regards,
karlmueller

No I didn't try that yet and I kinda also don't want to because it is a beta version and according to the list of know bugs it's also far from being close to final yet
Besides that I also don't think that installing that app would help because I have the same problem on TWO different computers and so if it would be a computer problem (which maybe could be fixed by installing that app) it would work on at least one of them I guess.
Thanks for the hint anyway.

Remove lock?
I have the same problem and it's tied to the locking of the phone. Even if the phone is unlocked when I plug it in. If I unplug the phone, lock it, unlock it and then plug it back in it shows up fine.
Remove the kids corner (locking) and the issue goes away forever.
I'm guessing it's similar to the zune saying you can't access the device unless it's partnered or unlocked. There is no partnering on this now though.

First I tried installing that Windows Phone App now, it did detect the phone but I didn't came any further than to that screen where it asks to pick a name for the phone. Once I click "Continue" there nothing happens. Tried it several times. And in Windows Explorer it sill shows up as empty.
That whole locking and unlocking thing was in fact the first thing I tried when the problem first occurred but no matter how often I lock, unlock and re-connect it it doesn't change anything.
Even tried locking the phone using "Find My Phone" and then unlocking it again but also didn't fix the problem.
And now that you wrote about the Kid's Corner being the cause of the problem I set up the Kid's Corner and also set up a lock screen password, restarted the phone - but still no change.
Then I disabled that whole Kid's Corner and Lockscreen password again and restarted the phone once more but it's still the same
I guess I'll have to call Nokia regarding this problem tomorrow ...
Thanks for your help!

By the way only thing that works is HARD RESET with 3 buttons combo or Phone Reset but you loose all music and photos.
Settings and accounts u can backup with your live account.
Hey Guys, I've got a problem with my phone, an Alcatel One Touch Idol 6030a.
Today I was messing around with Android Device Manager, locating my phone via web, and tried the "lock" thing. There, I was asked to enter a password, which I did, and then my phone was locked.
The problem came when I tried to type that password. I just can't, there is an input box, but when I tap, there's no keyboard, no nothing, so I can't enter my password! (See attached pic).
So I started searching the web for help, but it seems today is not my day. Yesterday I change USB mode to "charge only", 'cause I plugged it to my car's stereo and just wanted to charge it.
I never have USB Debugging on, only when I know I'm gonna need it, and today I didn't know :/, son I can't use adb.
I also tried deleting the "gesture.key" file, in /data/system/, via aroma, but nothing happened.
So, as far as I know, my only option left is wiping, but that is something I'm really trying to avoid, unless, of course, there's nothing left to do.
And that would be my question, do any of you know what can I do to disable that darn password lock?
Thanks in advance

Have you tried going into recovery and removing the app entirely with adb? Of course this is assuming you're rooted.

Did you delete password.key also from that ~/data/system ?
If you have not done, then do it again and try.
After you delete, clear cache and reboot. If it asks for password, try to see whether the keyboard comes up.
If it doesn't, try to access without typing anything.
Press thanks if I have helped.
Hi everyone! I need your advice\help. Now I can't load my Webtop (Tegra2 Ubuntop). Instead of loading its desktop I see only Moto logo. It moves from one side of the screen to another. Later I see a message like - "No signal, input: HDMI" But! Mobile show me an icon of "connected to multimedia station" or "HDMI connection". Moreover, I've managed to launch motorola entertainment center (from mobile) and see it on the lapdock. I don't understand why it was stop working. But before that, I tried to install rdesktop, tsclient. (but there were problems with dependencies) Another strange thing is that after my fail installation I couldn't see almost all my soft such as terminal or OpenOffice, etc.
Any ideas?

I understand that you need help but please do not ask your question more than 1 time.
You have an existing thread for this issue and have asked the question there.
As the existing has more background info on your I am closing this thread.
You can always edit the title of the OP to reflect you need for more help.

Make sure USB debugging is on. Update your drivers in Windows...and restart both phone and PC
Might have a bigger problem. Laptop doesn't even see the phone
You might also find that GSAM no longer loads after activating more stats. Googling around, there seems to be a known issue with Android 13 which prevents it working - I got it working once, but after a reboot it failed again. Developer no longer seems to be active unfortunately.
I might just leave it. Got it connected and seen after third cable. When trying to activate I keep getting exception messages and permissions not granted.
Would have been nice to see what's doing what (although if gsam crashes after more stats that mute anyway)
Cheers
Just got my phone yesterday and one of the 1st apps installed was GSAM Battery Monitor Pro, had NO issues with the adb commands to be able to use "app sucker." I am using Minimal ADB from XDA, am proficient in adb as that's all you could use on the T-Mobile G1 back in the day.
