i have the official 2.1 rom on my phone that i have deleted from it a lot of an unusable apps. and some time when i an in a progrem for some time it writes to me the FC of:com.htc.bgp and than it dont do nothing. i just dont like it. can somebody tell me what i did wrong, or, how to fix it?
thanks in advence

wow, thanks for all the replys, unfortunately non of them works.
thanks anyway.lol

Very few people here use official software. Chances are the programs you have installed are causing something in sense to crash. Try and replicate the problem consistently and you might be able to solve it. Failing that just re-install your software from scratch (i.e. downgrade to an old version of Android using a HTC RRU exe file from their website for your network. Then let that find the update to 2.1 and install that on a fresh system. Then start installing your own apps and customising settings.

thanks. but i need hebrew on the phone. but thanks for the reply

Dalet made HebVillain. Worth a look?
Also, stock isn't really the point in this forum for most people. Custom ROMs are the main ones used here, so few people know about the stock ones, as they're often slower, buggier and worse.

[Q] Is there a StockROM for GT-P7510MA?

Hello
New to Tab and rooting, so been playing with the different ROM’s All great, thanks. I followed the pinned guide, which was great. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1171089
However, I would like to unroot and get it back to original state. I tried the “[ROM]Stock US Retail WiFi” but it looks like that is for the IO version as the TW update wont apply?
I have the GT-P7510MA (VXAB) i.e. US version, 32Gb WIFI. So looking for the StockROM so I can restore it back to the exact same state that it was when opened. I will then like to apply the TW update OTA.
I have looked around and it seems like a few people are looking for it.
(or am I asking a stupid question?)
Thanks
Eric…
BUMP!
WHY ISNT THIS AVAILABLE ANYWHERE, WTF!!!!
My tab was going through a boot loop because of an update that failed for no good reason. So, then i decided to flash back to stock, only to find a handful of unhelpful people pointing to allegedly "US Stock" roms, most of which were for the European 32gb wifi model, with the exclusion of the rom stated in the first post. PLEASE can someone with a US wifi model just make a cwm backup so i can flash it and start receiving stock OTA updates again? Honestly i'm BEGGING at this point.
Looking for this too
Guys, I've done a bit of googling and this page has a link to a stock 3.1 OTA rom. I have not tried it myself (not rooted) and I don't know for sure if it's a US rom, perhaps someone can take a look. It is on a US hosted website, so maybe it's OK?
http://galaxytabhacks.com/galaxy-tab-10-1-hacks/how-to-unroot-your-galaxy-tab-10-1/
That guy as well many other sites take the information from XDA. You can always download the files and do a checksum check to see what comes up with. Look also at the DroidBasement files.
I respect your choice to use the TW update. Personally, I find it fills your tablet with insane bloatware, not to mention the ugly theme. If you want the TW update, I would recommend you to use the Starburst ROM, which has the TouchWiz applied and is like a zillion times better compared to stock ROM.
Still, for the love of God... why would you want TouchWiz on your tablet? It is a HUGE step backwards, not to mention it breaks the Android keyboard. OK, it improves a little the quadrant scores... other that that, is pure garbage IMO.
well as far as I know and from searching XDA, there is no stock clean 3.1 ROM For the GT-P7510MA yet, unless i'm mistaken

Thanks, I am currently using Starburst ROM which is great, but there are many reasons why we would want to restore back to factory state.
Warranty return
Selling the device
Test if the Custom ROM is causing problems. (see my screen problem qstn in the other forums)
etc...
So while I understand that there are better ROM's, it would be good if the stock ROM was available.

Thanks, but tried that one as well and its not the right ROM. That is the IO version ROM. Same as in the root guide here
This is the touchwiz ux rom: http://droidbasement.com/galaxy/touchwiz-ux/hc-3.1_touchwiz_ux-full_sam_tab_10.1.zip
And this one is the stock honeycomb rom: http://droidbasement.com/galaxy/sys-backup/hc_31/hc-3.1_ota-full_sam_tab_10.1.zip
Both are the latest of their kind, for the wifi tab, I tried both and they are 100% stock, not rooted roms.
Then flash back the stock recovery with ODIN, and you can send the tab back to Samsung, they won't be able to detect anything.
Bye.
Great Thanks will try them out.
When you tried the "stock Honeycomb ROM" could you apply the TW update and the second update as well?
Thanks

I have not tried that, but I can't see why it wouldn't work, provided that you flashed back the stock recovery with ODIN.
OTA updates don't play nice with clockwork recovery...

The reason I ask is that the stock recovery download link provide is exactly the same size as the IO version so I'm assuming its not the P7510MA version.
I haven't had time to try it yet, but doesn't look like its the right one.
TW update is not available on the IO version

[Q] Revert to stock 2.3.4

I know I am going to get ripped a new one for asking this, but I DID search. I searched a LOT and all I could manage to find were older threads or Froyo information.
I rooted recently and have tried about 9 ROMs. They are all OK, but I am sick of the bugs and ugly themes. I want to do 1 of 2 things....
A. Revert back to the newest build of stock Gingerbread completely or
B. Find a ROM of gingerbread that is so close to stock that I cannot even tell it isn't except in the system info*
(*I'm talking working Visual voicemail, no GPS issues, etc.)
I know...SEARCH! But I did search, and I do not have the money to brick my phone. I need help, and although I can read previously posted material, personal experience and or a walk through would mean a lot to me.
As if I wasn't asking enough already.... I know squat about ADB and would like to flash off the SD card or through ROM Manager if at all possible. Sorry and thank you in advance.
Still lists VM bug as not fixed, but did you check out the thread here?

Thanks! This seems pretty close. I really would like to return to stock...like Verizon issued stock, or Verizon issued GB with no bloatware.
The VVM issue is a deal breaker for me. Thank you for the response!

[General questions] Please awnser :)

Dear XDA'ers,
I was wondering how i can (kind of) format my Samsung galaxy S2 Completely and install a new custom rom on it. Every time i install a new rom and do cache wipe and user data wipe in CMW then it does not make it clean how i want it to be. I want a COMPLETELY format for my device. How do i do this and any guides available on how to do this?
I also was wondering if the official ICS V4.0 is already released for the samsung galaxy s2? Any link? Or are there good alternatives for it at the moment?
I also have a question about the battery life, are there any apps/roms or settings for it to make it last longer?
I hope you guys can help me out a bit. Thanks in advice!
Greetings,
Xanji

Excuse me??!!
There are no official ICS ROMS for the SGS2, buggy or not.
Don't post misleading - i.e., wrong - information.
OP, I'd advise you not to try any ICS ROM. You're new, and you'd be better trying a 2.3.6 ROM instead, honestly.
Search the threads, there are many good alternatives.
^^
+32 this. Excellent advice from my most learned colleague B3311. Please steer clear of any of the ICS builds out at the moment, a disaster just waiting to happen IMHO.
So far as battery life & different roms go, you are only going to find this out by trying different roms for yourself. You will not have the same experience with a rom as anyone else on here (different phone setup, different usage, phone differs slightly component wise).
There are no shortcuts. If you don't wish to do the research yourself, do everyone else on here and yourself a big favour and keep your phone stock. Regardless of what anyone on here might tell you, the phone is fantastic on stock firmware (tho obviously you can make it even more fantastic by running non-stock firmware if you're prepared to do the hard yards).

[Q] Alternative to CyanogenMod 11

I've been running CyanogenMod 11 for about a month now. I like it a lot, however there are instabilities. Youtube cannot play videos at all, for example; Snapchat totally fails to work; and one or two apps I've tried to install wouldn't even open. Occasionally a program will crash with a "Such-and such service has stopped" error notice.
Can anyone suggest a more stable ROM? I'm a newbie to flashing, I'm not experienced or interested in trying out different ROMs. I'm not a power user, I just want a stable, reliable ROM. Is cm11 known to have the issues I'm experiencing? Can anyone suggest an alternative?
Thanks.

Since cm-11.0 for this device is not in nightlies major bugs should be expected. Sorry, I don't have a suggestion, but I have a question. Does the headphone jack work on cm11?

Yes, the headphone jack works fine.
I've made the decision to return to the official Samsung ROM, so if anybody could point me in the direction of a safe, reliable download for that I'd be very grateful.

Nightly is the first "Official" status of a device from CM. If the device is very stable, with all system working properly and with minimal buggy behaviors CM begins building the ROM officially as a "Nightly" assuming the dev is following best practices etc.

I don't think that anyone has the stock rom for the Mega(s) yet, waiting patiently for the guys upstairs to crack the bootloader.
however you might try to restore with Kies.

You are not right, I for instance have stock ROM on my Mega and I am quite satisfied... Ohhh, maybe I'm a little lying... :silly: it is MegaFireMj2V5 from megalomanic14 which is based upon a stock ROM but is greatly improved - if you are looking for alternative to stock or CM11 rom's it's worth a shot.
As for return to stock ROM - be careful to choose right version: all new firmware (beginning from CNA1) are 'enhanced' with new bootloader and Samsung KIES which is new security system. If you upgrade your Mega by Kies or by Odin with newest firmware you will be lacked possibility to downgrade AND every attempt to root or flash custom recovery will result in tipping flashing counter without any possibility to clear it. So be extremely cautious if you want to mod your Mega with no problems.
You can choose older firmware on Sammobile an flash it thru Odin - then you will have fresh stock ROM on your unit. There are many tutorials how to do it.

Many thanks, guys.
I've been on Sammobile and selected "I9205XXUCNA2_I9205BTUCNA1_BTU.zip", which I intend to install in the next couple of hours unless anyone on here screams at me that I shouldn't! I'm in the UK with a GT-i9250, so I believe that's the right version for me.
To be honest, I'm not worried about tipping the flashing counter (if I even understand properly what that means). I rooted my phone some time ago, and liked that. Two weeks ago I decided to try Cyanogenmod since I've never used a different ROM. I wasn't impressed, and have decided I want to go back to Samsung original. If, in the process, I prevent myself from ever being able to flash another alternative ROM, or I void the phone's warrenty in any way, I can live with that.

OK, it's your choice... in fact newest firmware do not offer nothing new but bootloder without return and KNOX. CNA2 it's firmware with KNOX embedded. For mundane user this means nothing special, but for somebody who plan to root and mod it could be pain in... Try to read a little about rooting firmware with KNOX... but as I said, you are warned... tipping counter means setting flag which shows to e.g. service so there was installed unofficial software and it means so you are lacking your warranty. With firmware with KNOX this is irreversible because setting such flag physically burns efuse in system making hardware change. Cheers...
I stay on firmware without KNOX because of possibility to change ROMs and easy install custom software. Waiting for KK which for sure will have 'new type' bootloader and then will be no choice...

Hmmm, you are right... In such case i recommend you to install custom ROM MegaFireMJ2V6 made by megalomanic14 on basis stock MJ2 which you can find HERE.
Actually I am using this ROM and can say it is very good - looks like stock but is much faster. It's rooted already. Version X offer firmware stripped from unneeded apps to the extent.

Thank you very much. Most of that sentences was Greek to me, but I get the idea! The truth is, I put my foot into the water of flashing custom ROMS, and decided it wasn't for me. I just want one, reliable ROM that I can live with for many months without having to change it. That's why I decided to go back to Samsung, because there were too many bugs in Cyanogenmod and I don't want to start testing one ROM after the next. I just want to install a reliable, bug-free ROM now, and have done with it. So you think that MegaFireMJ2V6 would be such a ROM in my case?
PS:
It seems MegaFireMJ2V6 can't be downloaded from that link anyway?

Thank you, but I've tried this several times, and the only download available is the most recent.
You are wrong. It shows all the firmwares released for a model. I can see all the releases for GT-I9200. Attached is a screenshot of the older firmware without knox....
As far as I understand it, these are all the same ROM, simply different versions for different countries. When I put in my phone, GT-i9250, I am presented with a similar page, but it's only the one ROM; 4.2.2 with KNOX.
Ok man, I am done trying to explain things to you. The list you showed only displays Knox firmware, but what you said is not true. Here is another site with older firmware displayed for the I9205. There is no I9250 model Mega afaik..

Ascend Mate MT2-C00

Hello
First of all I'm sorry if this was already asked, and considering how big this forum, probably is. I recently purchased this phone, Huawei Ascend Mate 2. Now phone was from China Telekom and it was full of their blootware, first I did was try to Root phone to get rid of that, I rooted phone using guide I found here and using KingRoot desktop.
Now I have problems with Google contacts can't sync them, there is no option, even tried installing Google Calendar and people sync app from gapps but I'd didn't work.
Now what I really want to know is, could I maybe install some other rom on this phone, can someone point me to some detailed guide for doing so? What rom would it be best to put here? Please any help is appreciated.
I tried uploading pic of build number and other info but it won't let me.

Can you tell us more about the C00? Does it have Jelly Bean, KitKat, or Lollipop? I'm not sure if we can help you. Most of us have the MT2-L03, which is very different inside.

There is also a post on xda about TWRP for the phone that may also be helpful as well

Hope this helps out.

Flashing original software is your best bet. There is no development for that device.
Yeah, for MT2_C00, there not much ROM development in xda, you better stick with stock ROM.
And they also are doing 5.1 ROM testing recently, but I am not sure what's the progress of that.

Above forum is mate 2 forum, which you can use google translate to get some info (make sure you are looking at your phone MT2_C00)
Regarding the google service issue, since google website is blocked in China, so all phone sold in china doesn't have google stuff. They have their own "play store". I think they have all the lower level google framework/services removed, that's probably why install some google apk won't work.
in XDA, I have seen some thread discussion about extract/compile a complete google framework/app stack for phones like yours, but you need research and try them out.
For example:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1874285
or more general
https://www.google.com/search?q=com...amework+chinese+site:forum.xda-developers.com
Good luck.
Thanks everyone for help.

Sorry for noob question, but what do you mean, leave it like this or to flash stock international rom if that is possible?
What should I do first now, I need recovery right?

Is this my starting point?
If anyone want to help feel free to add me on Line app, whats app or what ever.
Yeah, I think you should flash that recovery first. So you can have backup before try anything else. That thread remind me @4L0M, not sure he saw this thread, he might can share some info on the Google issue.

Hey, another thing, can you view the /system/etc/hosts and see if any Google host is there? I think one approach they use is return dummy IP using this file to speed up fail response for blocked site.
If you see any, you can try deleted those Google lines and see. You need root and better have twrp and take System backup before modify the file.
I solved problems with contacts, installed today another google contact sync and it worked. Now, can someone help me how to install international stock rom it would be great, if it is possible, or any advice what should I do. It is annoying to see those chinese letters, not everything is translated even though language is english and chinese.

I don't think there are any other ROMs for the C00. Where are you located? How did you get a C00?

Like they said. There are no flash able ROMs for this device. All you can do is wait and hope they release an updated firmware for it. It may be possible to flash Gapps package to it and see of that works. But without a backup you could do more harm than good.
