[Q] Help with downgrading back 2.10 for tmobile - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi I'm sorry if i'm reposting but I weren't able to find the answer to my question about downgrading from 2.13. back to 2.10. for tmobile.

ok, if i understand you, you want to downgrade from teh official 2.13 rom to the official 2.10 rom?
If so, go to the tmous section, find the 'test and stock roms' thread, download 2.10.0 rom (not 2.10.1) and flash it. Job done.

Confused About Upgrading to Newer ROM and Still Keeping Bootloader 1.04?

I have searched and tried to find this answer, but now I am more confused... So please be gentle with the flaming.
I have an unlocked Cingular 8525. I down graded to bootloader 1.04 using Cingular ROM 1.30.502.1 and SUCCESSFULLY made my device superCID according to the detail direction in the wiki. THANKS FOR THE INSTRUCTIONS!!!
My confusion comes with the fact that I want to have newest OEM ROM from Cingular, 1.34.502.1, but I also want to upgrade the radio version... But when I upgrade to the newer 1.34.502.1 ROM, I get bootloader 1.06... BUT I read that I need bootloader 1.04 to change the radioROM... But as far I read, I would have to go back down to the earlier 1.30.502.1 ROM.
QUESTION:
How do I keep bootloader 1.04 with upgrading back to ROM 1.34.502.1, so I can have the newer ROM and be able to upgrade my RadioROM also?
Thanks
Ron

Downgrade then install the 1.01MFG bootloader. After that extract the OS from the NBH of the ROM you want and flash it. You can then keep 1.01MFG bootloader or change it back to 1.04. Its all in the wiki.

Ahhh... thanks for the push in the right direction!

Couldn't you just upgrade the Radio and the Extended Rom and still have the old boot loader?
Wouldn't this provide the same end result?

I had the EXACT same question...It turns out that you can upgrade the radio with the German version since your device is SuperCID. So I was able to upgrade to radio 1.27 with BL 1.06
..... and then....
I learned about the 1.01MFG wiki ... and I followed the instructions and was able to (first) flash 1.01MFG and (second) flash BL 1.04... so now I have 1.34 ROM, 1.27 Radio and 1.04 BL...
It took alot of reading and questions for me to figure it out....I hope my pain is your gain.

2.06 to 1.35 rom

Sorry for the stupid question but if I upgrade to the new 2.06 rom and it does not do what I need it to do can I flash the 1.35 rom back to the phone. thanks for the help
Yes, you can. If you flash the whole 2.06 update, your radio bootloader will be 0108, but that is no longer an issue since SSPL can be used for unsigned (unofficial) radio updates now.
Next time, please use search and read the wiki.
thank you for the info this whole site is great thanks

SPL version different (HTC Touch Pro)

Hi! I read the guide, for the locking the SPL for the warranty, but they provide the 1.90 version of spl. But my original SPL version is 1.94. So, my questions are:
Using the 1.90 on the htc that was sold with 1.94, it can make any problems? (for the daily use)
Can I upgrade again at 1.94 for the warranty? If yes, where can I download 1.94 original?
I've read also other posts.... wich ask the same: "How can I backup my original SPL vendor?"
But they havn't any answers. So ok, I'm a noob, but I DON'T find a guide to this... so plz help me about it, link me a guide, 'cause maybe I've searched in a bad way... this is a big forum, and there's a person who know the answer XD
And did you try wiki?

Use the 1.90 spl in the guide, then flash your stock rom. stock roms include spl so the spl will automatically be updated to 1.94 or whatever version of spl your stock rom has. for example the latest official roms 5.XX have spl version 5.XX also.
Best regards,
Alc
@alternativ: sure, but I don't find what I really search.. or maybe I did an insufficient search
@alcadeias: really? thanks! There was a missing piece in the puzzle

mhmmm thx a lot, but are you sure? If I don't installa an official SPL I can't install the rom, and if I put the original 1.90 the rom cannot recognize the spl, so, about your answer: re u sure?

yes i am sure. i know you want to be extra careful, so if you need extra reassurance you can ask Da_G or hilaireg. i recommend sending a pm or searching for a thread managed by hilaireg. he is very nice and to me at least he always replied even when i had noob questions . also he is very very tech savvy.
later edit: older versions of spl recognize newer versions. how do u think stock rom users upgraded from 1.9x roms to 5.xx roms. so you should have no problem upgrading from the 1.9 spl in the recovery thread to any newer version of rom (spl).
regards,
alc
It's normal if I upgrade to official HTC ROM, when I recover my data with Sprite Backup, (only) the version of the rom became the old version? But radio and protocol still remaining at the new version... it's only a bad indication or the rom is "switched" on the old rom? (after restore I don't need an hard reset, the phone just have an automatic soft reset)

[Q] HTC HD2 Stock ROM 2.10.**** WWE | SSPL Feedback

Hello xda,
The latest Spl where it's possible to install HSPL is 2.10.***, right?
I've been looking for the latest stock rom with 2.10; I found this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=636387
but unfortunately is for T-Mobile Usa version.
Does anyone know where I can find a 2.10 stock Rom for European HD2?
another question.
How is the SSPL? Can you share some feedback?
As far as I know, it's the only method available to install modified ROM with an 3.14.***. How is the 3.14.** compared to the older ones?
Thanks
there are no stock spl 2.x for europe hd2. I think you need to do more reading, you seem to be missled.
What you trying to do?
ok.. so the latest version for the europe is 1.66.
I did do a research before ask, though..
otherwise I wouldn't know what the SSPL / HSPL is.
Any feedback from the SSPL?

Downgrade SPL to 1.42

I have a Tmobile HD2 with SPL 2.10. I am trying to downgrade it to 1.42 so that way I can install HSPL and flash my Radio rom to the latest version.
How do I downgrade my SPL to 1.42 in order to install HSPL?
Basic info about my HD2:
ROM Version: 2.13.531.1 (90963) WWE
ROM Date 4/28/10
Radio version: 2.10.50.26
Also, how do i figure out if my HD2 is 1024leo?
Ignore my question above. I answered it myself by viewing this topic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=653614
I have another question. So it seems my HD2 is a 1024leo.
1) How do I know if this rom, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=595318, is compatible with my 1024leo?
2) If I ever want to roll back to the default non-custom rom, is this possible? If so so where do I download the original stock rom? And how do I make sure I am downloading the compatible one so I don't brick my phone?
yes you can rollback to stock rom just download it from http://www.htc.com
and you will know is it compatible with your phone because to download stock you have to neter your serial wich tells htc that you have a tmous

Where do I download the stock ROM?
Also, as for custom ROM how do I figure out which one is compatible with my HD2? I don't want to end up bricking it. I remember reading somewhere that since my HD2 is a 1024leo, I can't flash certain radio roms and custom roms. How do I know which ones I can't flash?

lmao, you can tell because the first sentence says "These roms are TMO-US compatible."
Your phone = 1024leo = tmous = TMO-US

you are in the wrong forum. This is the forum for the regular hd2, you need THIS tmous specific section. Go there and read, read some more, then read again. This time next week you will know all you need to know.
The most important thing for you to remember is NEVER NEVER NEVER flash ANY stock rom that is not for the tmous, and NEVER NEVER NEVER flash any radio that has a 51 in the version. Example 2.07.51.x radio will totally destroy your phone. (See the first few posts in the tmous radio thread.)
