The one I have is working great in 96dpi. Talk to me if yours isn't. We'll figure it out.
LTxda: You have the HTC Audio Manager Today Plugin for VGA? Have been looking for that everywhere, but it doesn't seem to exist.
Hey everyone,
I got a Redfly and it is pretty cool on most applications, even over bluetooth stuff runs good. The problem comes when I try to run Garmin XT or Tom Tom I get errors saying the program will not support the resolution, but Yahoo Maps works great. I guess I was surprised that the individual programs handle video res and not the OS. Anyone know how I can fix it ????
Cool, never heard of it until now.
The applications do detect the resolution so they can use the proper skin... The apps adjust and use the appropriate skin images for portrait and landscape.. also there are the square screen smart phones. On my dell Axim x50v I have trouble with some applications because they do not support VGA. So this is expected.
Did you search the knowledgebase on their site?
I would assume that the redfly would be capable of running in a magnified version of the native res for compatibility.. if not, you will have many applications that will have problems.
I got a chuckle out of this message on their site.
"Please read all the safety information in this guide before using the REDFLY to avoid injury."
There is no video capability. Program compatibility is hit or miss. No drivers for the Diamond yet.
Anyone know where in Garmin Mobile XT the video driver is ?
Maybe if I knew which file controlled that I could make it work ??
Hi,
I just got an Android Tablet with 1024 x 768 resolution... I tried installing my current games and apps for my HTC phone (480 x 320 ) ... and I thought it would somehow adjust to my screen resolution of the tablet !
Although some apps from the Market supports both my lower res phone and higher res Tablet... So how can i check which games/ apps will support the higher resolution tablet? Is there something specific you need to check before downloading or trying out new games?
I saw a bunch of acronyms Games HD... does this HD mean its' meant for tablet or higher res? Sorry i tried googling and i couldnt find my answer..
Thanks

All apps you browse through on the market (while on your tablet) should be compatible. Many times when an app says HD, it means tablets are supported but not always. Also, in the description of an app, it would usually say if it's compatible with tablets.
One simple question from me:
Are android 4.0 devices able to connect to monitor via HDMI at resolution higher than their native monitor resolution?
In other words, is there any way to modify the output resolution in ICS as it is for example in windows or ubuntu etc?
I ask this because I have a Xperia Neo V which is to get ICS in April and as far as I searched, I found out that when connecting to monitor, the output resolution is actually 854*480 upscaled to 1280*720p.
If ICS give me the ability to connect to monitor at true 720p, I am planning to save me the buy of a laptop for use in my vacation house through summer!!
I will only need the SE docking station...
Imagine that.. isnt that lovely??
Hi Android gurus! I have nut to crack and I was hoping you could help me with that.
I want to use my MK802 IIIS with a projector but I am having aspect ratio/resolution issues. Namely my projector supports 800x600 and 1024x768 but on my Android stick I get chose 1920x1080, 1280x720 or 720x480 (Settings->Display->HDMI modes). The stick has only HDMI output and I am using a cheap chinese adapter to connect it to the projectors vga input. For example with 720x480 I do get the picture but at left side a slice of it is cut off.
Ideal would be if I could set the video output to 1024x768 (with 4:3 aspect ratio).
So, how could I change it?
Is there any Xorg like solution, that is, add resolutions by editing some conf file?
I have limited knowledge on Android but I do know java and I am willing to digg in and so all answers and solutions are welcome. Of course it would be great if there would be easy fix but if you think I should go nuts and create a custom ROM, build custom firmware... I will be excited to hear that.
Anybody?
Where how??
I'm trying to find an answer to the same thing, Also an android stick but also in general for Andoid.
Besidess the menu's in settings, which can be limited, there must be a way to force a specific resolution.
And I don't mean "simulate" a resolution change by changing the Density/DPI
Someone must know, and It must be easy, please share
