Is it possible to turn the notification LED light (in any color) for the calendar and task reminders?
I've searched the forums and checked the Blink app (even posted a question in the original Notification light thread but with no luck yet).
Am I the only one who can't find how this is done or the only one who thinks this might be usefull
Apparently, I'm the only one...
You should post in the application section in the android sub-forum

Hi all,
I've had a quick look and can't see any related threads with an answer, hence I made this one, apologies if I am wrong a simple yes / no will suffice. The transparent bar currently illuminates with calls and when initializing charging, is there any way to make it illuminate with texts and emails?
Thanks,
Ross
You can't see any threads??? There are a few. A simple search found this thread (there are more)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1564653&highlight=led+bar+notification
I was looking under transparent bar and texts, not under notifications sorry. Delete thread if appropriate. That thread you posted is barely to do with the question at hand either, I'm not talking about the notification LED.
Unfortunately it doesnt illuminate with texts/emails or anything else for that matter. Only when you get calls. Im sure someone can mod it so that it lights up when you get a text
That's more of what I'm after, a modification that allows it to be done.
The code is already there as when I plug it in to charge, it illuminates the bar 3 times. Just need to mod this to be activated when a text or email is received, I didn't know if this had already been done or not.
yeah theres nothing out yet since we're lacking in developers. I'd love to develop but I don't know anything about coding haha
Hehe not for email please my battery would be gone then straight after I unplug it! !!!!!!

I have recently noticed that when I receive a notification, my green LED always stays on even after verifying the notification. The LED stays on until I either reboot, or hotboot. So, my question is what can I do to fix this, or at the very least, what file handles the phones LED control so that I can look it over to find the root of the problem?

BUMP. I realize this question has been answered before by means of LED Apps like BLINK. What I am inquiring about is what system file handles LED control, so I may alter it directly. What files does Apps like BLINK utilize, because I figured if I used one of these Apps to alter LED color that it would reset the control mechanism. Needless to say, if I receive a notification while my phone is not asleep, I have to do a hot boot to get it to turn off.

I'm looking to customize my notifications and the LED light to my personal likings
I have used LightFlow (trial) on the GS3 but main problems are
I set the vibration pattern to medium and it is always small
The sound goes off before the vibration and LED notification light
Half of the time it doesnt even work at all
I am rooted and using CM10.
Also if anyone can give me a link of the full LightFlow to give it a go
Any help would be highly appreciated
Thanks in advance!
I left CM10 a while ago so can't help in that regard. If you want the full light flow use that thing called google, you know........the search engine
No warez allowed on xda....so you better ask in other forum

I was wondering if someone figured out how to keep the notification led (aka harlequin) on when screen is on. It would be helpful in dark environments.
@skeleton1911 already posted a similar question some time ago but there are no answers so far.
I've already tried with tasker but its seems that tasker has no control over the notification led.
Any workaround is welcome.
Hi, I was wondering if there is any app or mod that controls the back light that goes off with notifications.
I would love to be able to keep it on so I can see all the time if there is any notification left, it usually flashes for half a second and that's it., I miss it most of the times.
I have tried some LED apps but they don't seem to be working, any idea if this will be even possible?
There is a post in the motorola forum bout it:

It could help to add a comment over there
