You will need edit the registry entry to disable the threading feature with Registry Editor
-----------------------------------
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings]
"SMSAvailable"=dword:1
-----------------------------------
change the dword from 1-> 0 nad you will get back non-threaded SMS -> NON-CHAT
yes but before that how can you forward an sms in this threaded mode ?
and sometimes your sent messages stay in inbox and somtimes they go to sent folder, how is that ?
it seems to have new rulls but what are they ?

If you want to forward sms in Threaded SMS, open the sms chat and use your navigation key (up/down) to choose which sms to be forwarded. After you choose the sms will be shown in ligth blue block, then choose menu -> forward ..
Your sent sms stay in inbox if you reply an sms, if you sent a new sms the sms will move to send item then if the destination replied your sms, then the sms will stay in inbox
See the Attachment
ok wow
thank you so much for the fast and perfect answer.

I mean isn't it funny that I have to type a sms text letter by letter even though I have it in a document ? !!!!!!!!!
In previous versions when I was near my pc I pasted it with soti pocket controler.

Verizon My Button SMS Messaging

I have a Verizon Touch Pro and I do not like the fact that there is not an easy way to move from conversation to conversation in txt messaging.
For example
1. you are having a convo with friend 1 and then friend 2 txts you
2. the only way I know how to move to that other conversation is to use
a. the ok button on the touch screen or
b. the back button on the front hardware buttons.
c. hit the messaging button and then select sms messages
I was thinking that if the "my button" could be mapped to sms messages and it would relieve this issue as it would be a single click back to all the sms conversations, but that does not seem to be the case as the closes i can map it too is the mail setting which goes to the same place as (c) above.
Any help on this will be very much appreciated

[Q] Cannot edit Notes in Contacts

Why am I unable to edit notes in contacts? I go to a contact hit the edit button and I can add a field like a new phone number. I can edit an existing field like name.. I can get a cursor placed in the notes and the keyboard comes up but it will not accept any keystrokes. this is driving me crazy. Anyone else? Ideas?

[Q] SMS: How do I select multiple contacts?

Hi All,
How do I select multiple recipients for a sms message on the X10 (X10i, 2.6.29-00054)?
Once I select the first contact I'm taken directly to the text input screen . On my Arc I'm able to select multiple contacts .....
Thanks in advance,
Jef
EDIT:
I found the solution... I just needed to use the menu button to have the option to add a second contact

Any way to STOP the keyboard popping up when i go to read a NEW sms

As the title says.
Scenario: A text message comes in, I pull down the menu and hit the name of the sender, and it takes me into the default messaging app to read my text. But as well as doing this, it automatically opens my keyboard ready to type a reply.
Have I missed something here??? I'm using Perfect Keyboard Pro, and wish to continue to do so.
It only does this on a new message, if I open a read message the keyboard wont open unless i press the reply button.
I hope its just a wee setting i've stoopidly missed, but any help is appreciated
AFAIK, this is the standard behaviour. When you receive a new sms, and go to read it, the keyboard pops out (to type the reply). When you go to see received sms, the keyboard pops out only if you tap on the text box at the bottom.
This for any keyboard you'd use.
Damn... wish there was a way to turn that off. .. och well...
Sent from my GT-I9100
i dont have this behaviour using handcent
yeah i think it must me stock messaging specific....
