[Q] hd2 brick??? - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys im having a problem with my hd2. recently ive been getting a lot of freezes while at work. I had energys rom flashed with the radio 2.12.50. I reflashed his newest rom, and reflashed my radio to 2.07.50. but it still gets stuck at the htc screen. While at work when it freezes i reset it by pulling out the battery and sometimes when it boots up it'll vibrate 3 times then stay stuck on the white splash screen. I just had the phone booted, and i performed a hard reset, now it doesnt want to boot again. any ideas?

reflash to rom, and radio, dont forget to run task 29 first of course
It sounds like a bad flash to me so download it again

task 29 3 times, reflashed the radio twice, and reflashed the rom twice. If i pull the battery out and let it cool a bit it boots right up, could some kind of heat be a factor to having my hd2 not boot up? shoudl i take it in?

Try recalibrating the battery, might help.
- Discharge battery completely
- remove battery for 45 seconds
- raplace and plug into power
- let the device charge all the way
- remove battery for 45 seconds again
- replace battery
- turn phone on - done

POS wizard

I have been having a problem with my wizard. I flashed an amp rom and it was fine for a few months. Then it was randomly shutting on and off for no reason. If it was charged it wouldnt do this. Then it wouldnt barely turn on and it would turn on off on off on off. I tried flashing tnt 20273 rom and it got to 100% and then showed an error 302. Now it when i try turning it on the bootloader screen comes on off on off on off and it wont even turn on. If i remove the battery for a little while it will stay on longer. Any ideas?
It could be that your battery is finished - and time to be replaced. When my battery went, it would charge to 100% - be okay in stand by mode, but if it rang - the battery would drain and start to loop at the start up screen.
Phone would boot - get to the splash screen - then turn off - boot again, get to the splash screen - turn off. All on its own, without even having to touch a button.
I purchased a new battery - installed it in the phone - did not turn it on, attached it to the oem wall charger until the light turned green.
Once battery was fully charged - turned the phone on - and have had no problems since. Regardless of which rom I am running, or my inability to stop flashing every new rom that is posted - have had no problems
Good luck
I think this poor wizard has kicked the bucket. Now when i turn it on the screen is white with some black lines going across it. O well gives me an excuse to get a tilt.

[Q] Endless Reboot with custom ROMs

I've been able to flash custom ROMs onto my HD2 without problems for a long time.
However since recently when I flash a ROM (e.g. radio) it goes into a constant reboot mode:
- Does not turn on without power cable anymore
- When I plug in power, it vibrates and the white screen comes up
- After a few seconds it goes black then comes the white screen again
- Goes on forever...
I was able to get the it to run again by first doing Task29, then installing the latest original ROM (1.66.405.2). However, as soon as I install another ROM (e.g. RADIO_2.07.50.27_2) I get into the endless reboot again.
Update: After another try to get a different ROM onto the device, I'm not even able to flash anything working (endless reboot).
Please help!
bent battery pins.
Thanks a lot that actually seemed to be it.
I noticed a pin was bent when I finished my flashing crusade but I didn't connect it to the issues I noticed.
i have the same problem today, but no bent pin. I cant even charge it, when plug into charger it charges for 5 seconds then boots up to HTC logo white screen without any info for 10 sec then reboots itself forever, I cant even charge it at the moment because once it boots up it goes to HTC logo screen and reboots the whole time rendenring the battery unchargeable. I assume the battery is faulty eventhough the phone is brand new.
any ideas?

try this, it might work .
Remove battery for 10 minutes, plug in charger and wait 5 minutes, hold power for 10 seconds then release, insert battery normally, should charge fine now

[Q] Battery showing empty when it is fully charged

Hi,
My phone took a quick swim, so I pulled it out of the bath took the battery out as quick as I could. I then took the phone apart to help the drying process.....all good
Let it dry for two days and put it back together......Now the problem
Basically the phone boots up but says the battery is empty and I get the critical batt level message and after 20 seconds it shuts down...during the 20 or so seconds the phone works normally. When I pull in my charger (with the phone off) I get the 100% battery icon but am unable to turn the phone on. If I plug the charger in as the phone is booting, I get the charging icon in the top right......but it still shuts itself down.
When it shuts down it is with the Galaxy sII splash screen....not a straight shut down like it has absolutely no power
To me this looks like a software problem - but was wondering if any of you guys could help
Thanks in advance

Try with another battery?
.....forgot to add that I have tested the battery in another phone and all is ok - and have tried a known working battery in my phone......same with either battery so I can rule that out

Random brick after night

So, yesterday afternoon i plugged in my phone to charge (about 11 PM) and left it for the whole night. I also have to add that Ive been running a mobile AP on it for the whole time. Today morning, I wake up and its crazy hot. I quickly DC it from charging, remove the back cover and let it be for a sec. I unlock it, it runs for few seconds normally and BAM, background behind icons is black and it froze up. I remove the battery to perform a hard reset of sorts and then the worst thing happens... Phone is stuck on boot Samsung logo. I turn it off again, hoping for a quick fix but it accomplishes NOTHING. I plug it into the charger and battery icon is visible but the circle on it is stuck and nothing seems to be happening.
Now I go into recovery mode that's working - surprise! And delete cache and dalvik cache. Nothing. I go back delete those things again and battery stats too this time. Nothing. I go back and do a factory reset... Nothing. Yeah.
So, imo since recovery is working it can't be a burned CPU/RAM right? Most likely (or hopefully) it's just the software that died? Im in the process of downloading a ROM and I will put it on my ext. SD card along with super-wipe that I will run but I was wondering - are there any good ROMs (or something else that might save my ass) that can be installed using Odin?
Yeah, it seems it was the case. Just installed ROM from my ext. SD and it's booted up which is very nice. Seems that it overheated and somehow killed my everything. Which is weird and anyone cares to help me explain this?

Empty battery

Hi everyone,
I have search in many topics and didn't find the answer of my problem.
It has starts with my Rom (Omega v19.1) which has suddenly decided to failed the com.android.phone process. After tried many issues, I finally decided to bring my phone back to old parameters : first flash siyah kernel then flash Criskelo-Servan V12 Rom.
But when I have flashed Siyah Kernel (using CWM), the Siyah logo was just "flashing", like blinking.
Few minutes after, the battery was fully empty. There was no way to restart the phone, even in Download mode which shows me the "Low battery. Can't Download" text. If i just plug the battery, it shows the battery logo fully empty with the ring (the same when your computer is lagging), which isn't turning.
By quiclky testing in a store with another GSII, Download mode was working, so my battery seems to be too weak to restart.
I have tried MichalAmrs method, it doesn't work, by plugging to a Computer or to the wall.

Try this-
Take out the battery, then press and hold the ON button for 7-10 seconds (the longer the better). Reinsert the battery, then press ON button to start it. This is a soft reset, and wipes the temporary memory and empties all remaining power in the circuits. This helps on many phones and even laptops that won't start properly or show anything on screen.
If this does not work, try the next step. Again, do as above. But after inserting the battery, do not turn the phone on, but press and hold the ON button and the HOME button at the same time for 7-10 seconds. This is a hard reset, and works best if done after a soft reset. Just be sure the battery has at least some juice in it and isn't empty. If possible, try with another battery if this does not work.

Someone has an issue ? I thought that flash siyah kernel again using Download mode (with another battery) could solve my problem, but I am not sure it will brings the battery back.
Thanks for reading
i would try getting a new battery to see if the battery or phone is the problem
I would borrow the battery from that other SII for a minute and check if my batt is dead or the usb flex is busted.

Back again,
I have bought a new official battery (2000mAh).
When I plug my phone I can now see the charging logo during few minutes (before, I could just see it 20 seconds). But the phone still not charging, and the Download mode also give me the same message "low battery. Can't Download".
So ... what is the problem ? I know it's not very common ...
