I cant post this on the development thread, so I can only post it here.
I installed CM 7.1 this morning, everything is fine, but the market. I always have problem with download big apps from market since CM 7.0 till now.
When I tried to download Viber, the error poped up, it said "Error downloading " Viber:..." There is insufficient space on the device. But my phone internal memory still has 150 MB left. I tried to clear market data/cache and reboot but it still didn't help. Anyone has a solution for this?
I've had this problem before. Do "uninstall updates" to the Market app. It will eventually update itself again but hopefully it'll work properly the second time.
By the way, which gapps package did you use? Was this a clean install?
I used the gapps of June, but then I updated to Aug 18, still I didn't work. Then I decided to install the ROM + gapps again ( at the same time) and it works.
My market is not automatically updating to 3.3.11 version.
I had re flashed my CM7 (grif's) rom. and opened market, setup google account and then market had updates to 3.3.11 ! I did a titanium backup just in case.
now after re flashing my rom i'm not getting the update and am unable to get it from titanium either

I (finally) upgraded to the Official CM7.1 and Google apps yesterday (From CM 7.03).
Wiped Dalvik only.
After the update, Market worked fine, and there was an update to Google Maps. I upgraded, did a quick test, and it seemed fine.
A few hours later, there was another Google Maps update to 6.0 (B) with Inside Maps, so I updated again -- Normal update through the Market.
I can navigate around, but doing much anything results in a freeze and FC pretty quickly.
Nothing else at all has FC since I updated.
Now the Web-Based Market says maps is incompatible with my device, but there is no official way to get a working, current Google Maps.
I know I can re-install Google Apps, but I just wanted to warn people not to try 6.0 for the moment.
I'll post a logcat if anybody wants it.
Similar running GtabComb3.3 (B/L 1.2) , but the tablet will reboot shortly after launching Maps (latest updated version).
It'll reboot shortly after launching......while in Maps using it or if you just launch Maps (like accidentally or such) and exit back to the homescreen........a few seconds later...REBOOT. Every time.
I've uninstalled updates so the tablet doesn't reboot, but I need the previous version so I can at least be more updated than what comes with GtabComb
6.0.1 is out now. It worked for a few seconds and then same problem as before. Reboot and broken wifi. Had to uninstall update again.
Yes, Google Maps 6.x will not work on the Gingerbread ROMs for the GTablet... looks like an opengl issue...
Google maps reboot
So has anyone found a way to install an older version. I have tried un-installing maps and installing an old version. Keep getting, unable to install.
I have been having the same issue on both CM7 and Flashback.
**EDIT**
After looking into the GAPPS zip I had, apparently Maps is not included. So I found a copy of maps version 5.10.1 laying around on my PC, I added it to the package and tested it. No Force closes so far. I have uploaded it for anyone else having this issue.

Just saw there was a 6.03 update for my Dell Streak.
So I updated the Streak, pulled the .apk, and installed it on the GTab.
No luck. 6.03 is no better. Constant hang and FC.
I also have a 5.x around that I was smart enough to pull from the Streak before the first update to 6.0x, but thanks to trock79 for posting a fall back.
Wait for 6.04, rinse, repeat.
It's fixed!
I updated the latest maps (released on 4/25) and the issue has been fixed!
Hurray!!!
Not for me.
I wiped everything, and upgraded to Official CyanogenMod 7.2 RC2.
Installed latest (Current) Maps from market.
--> Almost immediate bad crash requiring a reboot.
I wonder if this has anything to do with 1.1 B/L vs. 1.2?
I'm on 1.1 (never upgraded)
maps crash
I was running Flashlight, GB, 1.2 and was crashing. Flashed CM 7.2 RC 3, still crashes.
So is the current fix to get a working google maps is to stick with the v.5 install?
I'm on G-Harmony ICS, bootloader 1.2
I flashed the latest CM7 Alpha Final ROM from March 9th. I also flashed the gapps according to the instructions as well:
"You will also need to flash Google apps (market etc) from HERE. The internal no longer comes with the google framework installed due to ruling from google themselves." (the actual filename is gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip)
I wiped the data/cache and the davlik cache as well and now I cannot sideload any .apk files nor install anything from the Android market. I tried to install Titanium Backup and ES File Explorer from the market and got an error. I then tried to sideload some apk (I forget which) and got a message similar to 'you cannot load an app not from the android market'.
Was my problem flashing the gapps zip file? I can't seem to install anything which prevents me from restoring via Titanium Backup.
edit: I figured out the 'cannot load apps not from the android market was the 'unknown sources' button. That's ok now.)

This was not required if you updated from CM7a1 (Wipe cache only per on nook prompt once CM7 installed.). My installation went smooth, I even successfully updated Google Maps App after the update.
I think I solved the problem by using the current Android Market version 3.4.4. All seems well now, the version I somehow used was 3.1.3...looked very different and obviously didn't work.
Great to hear!
Hi all, first time post here.
I just switched from my 5-year obsession with the iPhone (due to loss of interest) and bought my first Android device, the Galaxy S4. Love it! Already updated to the latest OTA update, and then rooted via the SD card method. Just ran into my first (minimal) issue today.
Upon reading this article on Android Police, I decided to download the latest Google Play .apk to install the latest version of the app. Once downloaded, I opened the .apk for installation, but I see this (check attached image) after any attempt to install.
Any ideas?
Key Info: I have a rooted Verizon Galaxy S4 on the latest OTA update.
