How to flash stock

I have Hard-SPL and have flashed several custom ROMs, now I would need to flash a stock ROM. Do I flash a stock ROM the same way as I flash a custom one? Or do I need to uninstall Hard-SPL or something?

The answer is NO! You have to first remove the Hard-SPL, for more information, how to do it, look in the Hard-SPL thread. If the Hard-SPL is successfully removed, and you have exe file with ROM provided from your phone manufacturer, you can flash it with USB cable. Some people say that you should restore stock Radio an then stock SPL first, but it is only in the case you do not have exe with ROM provided for your CID
from what i read you have to restore stock radio and stock os BEFORE stock spl or you may brick your phone because the stock spl doesnt support custom roms and you would be flashing a stock spl over a custom rom

Updating to 2.3.4

I have some questions:
1) I just unlocked my bootloader and installed CWM recovery, but I still use the 4.1.83 version (With GladiAtrix3). I wanted to know if I want to flash your rom do I need to flash the 2.3.4 update first usind RSD, or can I flash it right away from the CWM? (After a full wipe of course)
2) Do I need to flash a 2.3.4 radio prior to flashing this rom? Can I use the flasheble radio from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1163009 ?
3) What should be the size of the full Alien #2 rom? is it possible that it is 163MB?

What should do next after failing installing ROM's and having boot loops problems

Im tired of installing many ROM's and 2 different Recovery, some "cant open .zip" and having boot problems, and in other recovery, it can install roms, but other aslo cant open .zip, and also having boot problems,
Im really tired of reflashing stock ICS Fw then root, install Recovery again, after failing installing ROMs.. its too long to reflash, root, install recovery,, its waste my time and having headache after failing installing ROMs for almost a week
Is there any fast solution or what would you do after you fail installing ROMs and cant boot? even do you can enter recovery? what proper should do next? would you also reflash again stock ICS then root and install recovery?
or any other fast way solution..
Please help
Root and install recovery onto your device. Enter recovery and make a nandroid back up of your device. Flash your new rom and reboot the device. If you boot loop or the rom doesn't work or even if you just don't like it, enter recovery (may have to remove the battery to restart a boot cycle) and use your nandroid back up to restore your device.
Before flashing the new rom, you should make sure that the kernel is compatible with the one that is already on your device. If it isn't compatible, you will also want to flash the new kernel using fastboot/flashtool, and not recovery. Also make sure you have a back up of your rom's current kernel so you can flash the original kernel, if you decide to go backwards.

Thanks I think that what im looking for.. the Nandriod backup..
gota way to find that now and how to install
Thanks a lot!
Hmmm...the most easiest way it to unlock your bootloader first...then flash custom kernel...this can help you skip rooting and installing recovery again and again if something goes wrong cause all custom kernel is pre-rooted and got recovery by default....
next you need to find which custom roms you want to flash...some custom roms have their own kernel or flash any custom kernel that is compatible with the roms....
remember, custom kernel is important cause if you flash the wrong kernel, you might get bootloop after flashing the roms....

How to flash a custom ROM (Dirty Unicorns) to HTC Evo 3D Sprint

Hi
I've been looking every where, I can't figure out how to flash a custom ROM to Evo 3D. I'm trying to flash the Dirty Unicorns ROM but i can't. I've rooted the phone, used different kinds of ROM flasher APKs, tried to flash using 4ext recovery, all to a dead end. On the ROM's page for instructions it just says to wipe the device then flash the ROM and enjoy. Please help.

Make sure you are on the 1.40 hboot or the 1.04 ENG hboot. Then it should work fine.
This post ought to help with changing boots, assuming you are s-off.

Restore splash screen

I need to restore the og splash screen to return my phone to at&t
Can anyone help please
The best way to restore original state is to flash stock ROM using Odin. First and last problem in this method is to find proper ROM for your phone.
I found one in this forum but did not fix my issue
I mean it should be STOCK ROM flashable by Odin, not custom ROM. If you found stock rom and flashing it did not fix your problem it means this ROM was not RIGHT for your phone OR problem is with hardware...
Remember ALWAYS clean cache and dalvik before flashing new ROM.
