How to flash stock - Touch Pro, Fuze ROM Development

I have Hard-SPL and have flashed several custom ROMs, now I would need to flash a stock ROM. Do I flash a stock ROM the same way as I flash a custom one? Or do I need to uninstall Hard-SPL or something?

The answer is NO! You have to first remove the Hard-SPL, for more information, how to do it, look in the Hard-SPL thread. If the Hard-SPL is successfully removed, and you have exe file with ROM provided from your phone manufacturer, you can flash it with USB cable. Some people say that you should restore stock Radio an then stock SPL first, but it is only in the case you do not have exe with ROM provided for your CID

from what i read you have to restore stock radio and stock os BEFORE stock spl or you may brick your phone because the stock spl doesnt support custom roms and you would be flashing a stock spl over a custom rom

what is the procedure to ensure everything clean before ROM flash

To all experienced Custom ROM installers,
I have a rooted vibrant, during the holidays I performed my first custom ROM flashing
During these days, I installed and re-installed a stock and custom ROMS a number of times. I think I got remmants of ROMS that I installed.
I want to go back to the stock android 2.1 JI6. I have a rom manager backup before I installed the custom rom
What is the procedure for a good wipe to ensure that the system is clean before I flash the stock t-mo vibrant 2.1 JI6 ROM ?
thanks
Reverting back to stock through Odin is more preferable. But if you're going to nand restore a stock 2.1 via clockwork, then you MUST flash a 2.1 kernel or any 2.1 custom rom that has the stock kernel. I'm not sure wether you flash the stock kernel beforehand or after the nand restore. But yeah, if you're currently on a 2.2 rom, revert that kernel to stock 2.1 before restoring the 2.1 stock nand or risk soft bricking your device!
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
thank you for the tip.
That is why when I restore my ROM manager backup (which was a 2.1 nackup) it froze and will ot boot. I will try restoring the 2.1 kernel first before restoring the backup
make sure the 2.2 rom you're using is compatible with a 2.1 kernel coz that will soft brick too

HSPL and stock ROM 3.14 (spl 3.03) isn't compatible sir.
I suppose you will flash a custom ROM!?
- First of all be sure the custom ROM have/use 3.14 stock ROM drivers.
- secondly use SSPL_RUU.exe

[Q] Stock 2.10.1 ROM Install Failure - What To Do?

/Solved/
I downloaded the latest ROM from T-Mobile US's support site and it flashed properly. Then used HSPL3 to go back.
My HD2 was installed with HSPL and Android 2.2 NAND. I tried to flash stock 2.10.1 to restore it to default. Placed the LEOIMG.nbh on the root of the SD and booted into bootloader, used VOL Down to run, and received a ROM Install Failure.
Now when I boot into bootloader I am at SPL-2.08.0000 and on the green section it reads "Upgrade ROM code error Please try again".
The phone will automatically go into a grey screen with "Loading..." from bootloader but it seems to just sit there and do nothing.
Do you guys know what I should do? Thanks.
did you get 2.10.1 from the 'tmobile stock and test roms' thread? If so, its not a 'real' stock rom. It is stock, but its packaged like a cooked rom.
Use the 2.10.0 instead, or use hspl4 to apply hspl then reflash 2.10.1 over usb, then remove hspl again with hspl4.

Updating to 2.3.4

I have some questions:
1) I just unlocked my bootloader and installed CWM recovery, but I still use the 4.1.83 version (With GladiAtrix3). I wanted to know if I want to flash your rom do I need to flash the 2.3.4 update first usind RSD, or can I flash it right away from the CWM? (After a full wipe of course)
2) Do I need to flash a 2.3.4 radio prior to flashing this rom? Can I use the flasheble radio from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1163009 ?
3) What should be the size of the full Alien #2 rom? is it possible that it is 163MB?
