Has anyone used those cheap screen protectors on ebay? Those that are like 1$. I was gonna buy a clear-coat but I thought that there must be some that are as good or even better for a cheaper price. Of course, I dont mean those 1$ ones but maybe $5, etc. So has anyone tried any protectors that were good from ebay? For me, smoothness is more important then clearness (stock protector clearness is good enough). Thanks
I always liked the cheap ebay protectors over expensive Zagg InvisibleShield. I usually buy set of 3 for 1.99 or 2.99.

LOL DONT! its **** if u live in canada (cold season in winter then hot in summer.. duh) the screen protector's first layer kinda like peels off from the screen protector itself and it looks gay... + not scratch resistent or uv resistent so its ***
I bought mine on a local mall for 8$US .. its got scratch resitent, UV resistent, auto heal ****...
I live in Canada, and for the last 5 phones ive been buying ebay protectors, cheap and not bad quality.. make sure the sellers feedback is good tho
i bought cheap screen protectors off of 2 different sellers on ebay and they are cheap for a reason! they arnt cut properly and are larger then the screen. they cover the ear peace and physical buttons just a tad. so whenever you put your phone in your pocket the sides catch on your jeans and peels off the screen selector.
It really depends. While I didn't buy any from ebay, I received 10 or so screen protectors from the seller of my X10. They look like the $1 from ebays and while the fitment is great, I see a very bad rainbow effect across the entire screen. I've never seen this on the more quality expensive ones.

This is my experience as well.
I prefer the cheap ones. I brought them for my old phones and they fit reasonably well. They are pretty good quality for the price.
Well, i have bought cheap pnes from ebay and from amazon, never had any problems at all, they have always fitted perfectly, not discolored or distorted either.
I also have some stealthguard (the ones they handing out for free - usually ~£20) shields, which is what im using at the moment.
The stealthguards "stick" better so they dont peel at the corners or anything, and they are a lot more scratch resistant so you dont have to replace them as often, but i would never pay full price for them, they simply are not worth it.
Ultimately i would recommend ordering a couple of "free" ones from stealthguard, but failing that you cant really go wrong with ebay
I have tried cheap ones for my X1 more than a year ago. Can't recommend them. They were hard to get onto the screen because they were so thin and weren't scratch resistant. Pulled them off after a few weeks each.
For my X10 I have bought protectors for 10 euros each. They are great. Scratch resistant, easy to get them onto the screen, and each lasts at least a year, until you have to pull it off, wash it and put it back on again (yes this works really).

I bought the XtremeGUARD one from eBay for less than three dollars (USD) with free shipping. (Sometimes the seller will have a sale and offer it for one dollar with free shipping.) It's one of those wet application ones where you have to use soapy water.
Aside from having to put it on with water, application can be tricky since your fingertips need to be covered in soapy water too or else fingerprints will get onto it. A lot of air bubbles will also get in there, but those are pretty easy to get rid of.
The only thing I don't like about XtremeGUARD is that it has this kind of 'orange peel' look once everything is dried and you look at the screen when it's completely dark. It's not that noticable, though, and I accept it.
The quality and protection is right up there with the expensive protectors (I do know people with the ZAGG ones), and I thought it was a good buy.
i bought 3 for a $1. the description said anti-glare but when it arrived it was basically just a regular clear protector. So in order for it to be anti-glare it has to be matte?

Hi all:
Does anyone have any suggestions for good screen protectors for the Tilt2 off of Ebay?
I know there are a number of name brand ones which are good, but I have an Ebay gift certificate, so I'd like to buy from there if possible. I can't seem to find any of the good name brand ones on ebay, so I was hoping someone may have tried one of the ones that are available on there.
Suggestions would really be appreciated.
Thanks!
PS: I am currently using the one that came with the phone, and I was happy with its quality, but it has gotten quite scratched up, quickly, so I need to replace it.

Extremely easy to apply, barely any bubbles/air pockets to be seen. My screen looks like it doesn't even have one on.
Or you could try this link. I ordered mine, but I didn't received them yet so I don't have pictures to upload, but they look sharp

I've always ordered screen protectors from Clarivue. The one I put on my Palm TX 4 years ago is still on it. They're durable.
As to ebay, the seller I've always used for clarivues is JHongs. They currently don't have protectors for the Tilt 2 listed, but the last time I asked them to list one they didn't have up, they happily did so.
Just message them, give them the link to the Tilt 2 clarivue (linked above), tell them you're ready to buy, you heard they would list it for you, and I'll betcha in 48 hrs your new screen protector will be on the way.
I bought ebay item #250541670275. It only cost $2.98, it shipped from California, and I had it within a week. They fit the tilt 2 VERY nicely, and I can't tell there's anything on the screen. Buy it!
Thanks so much to everyone who replied!
I will definitely be ordering one of the ones suggested in this thread.
Thanks again!!

I wouldn't call it bad, but in terms of durability it's lacking compared to clarivue or boxwave or some other name brands.
im To late
but your best bet would have been zagg. most of those cheap plasic one's only hold up for about 3 month or so. zagg hold up until u decide to take it off.
www.zaggs.com that the main site and there should be some on ebay also. i kno that you have a gift card.

Don't get this if you have a Tilt2. Just thought i'd give you a heads-up (it'sthe T-Mobile version).
If you still haven't purchased any scrren protector, you must have a look at this, although it's not on ebay it's very cheap and offers full body protection.

If it's not cheap enough use 20% discount cupone PPCSG20
I have excellent experience ordering from Amazon and HIGHLY recommending this seller - Eforcity. (I've ordered 3 protectors for my CDMA and got 8 in the package - someone was pissed to my bennefit )

They say "scratch proof", but 3 of mine scratched.
Also, those "invisible shield" ones leave weird residue that does go away after a while, but it gets annoying.
After trying 3 types of screen protectors, I would HIGHLY suggest the regular scratch proof ones. They really work and the bubbles went away after a night of having it on.

Generally an anti-glare protector has a matte finish and generally the crystal clear ones are glossy. That's the distinction that matters in regards to fingerprints -- any glossy surface is going to be print-astic and hold on to finger oils with the jaws of life.
I have a clarivue anti-glare, and it is definitely more resistant to prints than the stock HTC protector was. But it's not magic, or even oleophobic, it's just an ordinary matte surface.
I also recommend a decent brand like boxwave or clarivue above some no-name protector if you want to be sure it's going to be durable. I used the same clarivue for 4 years on my palm TX and it was in a 100x better shape than the stock HTC protector was after a couple of weeks.
I don't see that screen protectors have been discussed recently, so I'm looking for suggestions/experiences for screen only protectors (I'm a flip case kind of gal, so I have no worries about the body).
I'm one of those weirdos who is very careful (and lucky) with cell phones, so I'm looking for something with minimal interference with the screen sensitivity. I'm defecting back after 2 years of using an iPhone without a single scratch on the screen (nor are there any scratches on my 8525 or my Treo or the 8125) in spite of extensive use, and I'm already loving being able to use my fingernails again
I'll greatly appreciate any suggestions/experiences on what's worked well . . . or what hasn't worked. Ease of application is a plus as my 8525 to this day has a tiny bubble I never was able to eliminate . . .
Also, I hope this is an appropriate place to express my gratitude for this forum. When I found it, I was vacillating between the Tilt 2 & the LG eXpo, and comments here nudged me into my decision: I brought my Tilt 2 home yesterday
TIA!
The screen protectors that AT&T sell for the Tilt 2 work really well, are easy to apply, and are a good deal (3 for $10).
I briefly used the AT&T-supplied screen protector. I switched to an eBay full-body protector, but was unhappy with the way it was cut - didn't fit the Tilt2 very well. I replaced that with the BodyGuardz full body protector and it's a much better fit. I recently removed the BodyGuardz screen protector (but still using the body protector) and installed an anti-glare screen protector from Boxwave.
I had no complaints about screen sensitivity with any of them. The original AT&T screen protector and the one from Boxwave feel "slick", are a more rigid plastic and they didn't really adhere to the screen very well around the edges. The ebay one and the BodyGuardz feel a bit "rubbery", adhere better to the screen and any bubbles will work themselves out after a day or so.
I don't really have a preference one over the other - for me it came down to a preference for a less glossy screen.
Hy! You can try and have a look about what other are saying here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=605241 or here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=571172 or here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=594029
In short, there are 3 majors options:
Zagg's Invisible Shield - found here http://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield/htc-tilt-2-cases-screen-protectors-covers-skins-shields.php
Bodyguardz - found here http://www.bodyguardz.com/content/accessories/1-12--2393.htm
Gadget Shieldz - found here http://www.gadgetshieldz.com/att-ti...nvisible-shields-screen-protectors-skins.html
The main difference between them is the price, the first 2 cost 25$ each, but Bodyguardz offers 2 kits and both sellers offer lifetime warranty, third is pretty much the same but whitout the fancy package and alot more cheaper.
Try reading all the topic's I gave you and you will find some discount coupons for each seller. The rest is up to you to decide which one suits you better!
Cheers!
Check out WMExperts store
@ sslund,
I can totally appreciate your minor obsession over the "right" screen protector for your device. When I first recieved my TP2, I was using the crappy Rocketfish iPhone screen protectors that I would cut to size. They provided good scratch protection but there was a lot of color separation, meaning they kind of scintillated a red-green pattern over the display which sucked. I then tried the ATT's offering which I didn't like either.
On a whim I bought these from WMExperts Store and have been very happy with them. I cannot post the link as per forum rules, but search their site for "Smartphone Experts Screen Protectors (3-Pack) for AT&T Tilt2"
They do not scratch unlike some of the cheaper Fellows products, nor are they really even noticeable. They are removable, washable, and can be reapplied, which I've successfully done - as long as you're patient in the drying process so as to not get dust stuck to them (air dry), re-application actually works! I did have to cut the sides down a bit as it was just a hair too wide, but that's more of a personal preference. Since they are removable, I've only used one of the three since I got my TP2 in October.
Of course YMMV, but given em a shot and good luck!
I really like my body guardz. thicker and doesnt have a smuge if i touch it like the one that came with the phone.
I would like to install a new shield on my screen but I can't tell if the original is removable and what the recommended method of removal would be if it is.
Clarivue ultra clears are REALLY nice and clear and tough. They come two to a pack. I cought some from a guy on ebay for like $9 shipped. They were real retail clarivues.

If you are referring to the flimsy protective film that ships on the device? It is removable. Otherwise you would need to try and look through the message that is pre-printed on it.
If you mean the protector that is shipped in the box, well that is also removable if you have attached it.
If you mean ANY screen cover, then the answer is still yes. They are all removable.
Use your finger nail, a toothpick, a credit card, or similar device to pry it off of the screen.
Very simple and rudementary.
I found a 6 thing of screen protectors for only 99cents with free shipping on eBayand from USA only took 3 days to get. Its nice!

The day the gs2 was released I called every AT&T store in the area looking for "regular" screen protectors. They kept trying to up sell me on the re-usable anti-glare screen protectors that cost $15-$20 more. Five stores later I tried to order them. It wasn’t until then that I was told that AT&T wasn't stocking regular screen protectors, only the anti-glare ones. Went to the mall and found some at a cell phone kiosk for $10.
Screw you AT&T.
In my country they cost around 20$

All AT&T stores sell Moshi Screen Protectors. They are actually really good, durable, anti glare and anti fingerprint screen protectors. Not like the regular screen protectors that come in a pack of 3. Those peel at the edge, and after they do, you have to take them off an apply a new one on them. They scratch real easily and are very thin. The Moshi you are referring to are far from the cheap screen protectors. Not only are they 2-3 times as thick, but are 100 times a lot easier to install. They also won't peel up on you. You get what you pay for. I'm very satisfied with my Moshi Screen Protectors. A month in, no scratches, no bubbles, no peeling. Overall, a very high quality product worth every penny. Highly recommended.
The cheap eBay ones will most likely scratch easier than the $10-$20 range screen protectors, meaning you will have to replace the screen protector often if you want it to look clean/clear.
Best Skins Ever
Just thought I would share my experiences.. I am new to the Android community, as this is my first phone after having several iPhone models.. So far so good, loving it! Anyways, I have always used the skins from bestskinsever.com and they have always done what they need to do.. Easy to apply (as long as you don't get any air bubbles), and protect the phone very well.. I was following the site and just today noticed they finally have up skins for the AT&T model, and they are always perfectly cut to fit precisely! So thought I'd share, as it isn't a pricey option at all.. Cheers!
I just purchased the LTE version off eBay and I'll be needing a case and screen protector for it.
For the screen protector, I just want the plain 99-cents-for-3-pack type ones - no fancy wet application ones, or ones that give it a rubbery feeling, or that will peel and wear due to how thick they are, etc. And for some reason, I'm having trouble finding them - which is funny because its usually the oppsoite.
For the case, I'd like something that's still compatible with the official charge dock. From what I understand there's an adapter included to make it work with cases, but I still don't want anything bulky - I don't drop my phones, I just need protection from everyday wear. A plain slim snap on case would do - big plus if its legit bamboo/wood on the back (not cheap plastic or skin); nothing that covers the buttons, though, as I like their tactile feel.
Suggestions?

Ehm... pretentious much?
JK man, I guess you'll have to wait a bit more for more options to come when the handset is available worldwide.
In the meantime, you could check cases from PDAir, they seem like real premium ones, leather too.
Anyway, you can find simple screen protectors off eBay for 2/3 bucks for 3, but I went premium even there and bought the Gearmaxxx one off eBay, like 20 bucks for front+back.

To be fair, I think the guy I bought it from is a fraud and doesn't actually have them. Haven't received any communication from him since the 5th, even though I left a note upon purchase. Thank goodness I used Bill Me Later, I'm not actually out of that huge amount of money until I can cancel the transaction (if it comes to that).
And yeah I went ahead and got these two sets of screen protectors, plus this clear case for now:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/121159453538
http://www.ebay.com/itm/121167852672
http://www.ebay.com/itm/121160352193
Figure I'll give it a shot using the matte screen protector and see how I like it, and go clear if I can't take the loss in quality. And I'm considering the Incipio Watson since I do like their folio cases, but I'm not sure how I feel about having it on a phone (only had it on a tablet) and with no kickstand support.
Can I get some feedback please?

I hate the drag feeling of many plastic screen protectors so I have had a naked screen on all my phones until now! This is my first glass screen protector and so far it has been excellent.
It was very easy to apply. I was impressed with how it seemed almost to "adhere itself" when you place it upon the screen. Almost free of any air bubbles, creases, etc.
Cleaned the screen with the supplied wipes, dropped the protector on, and pushed the imperfections out with my fingers and it came out great.
It comes with badly translated instructions but you are given more than enough tools to get the job done right.
Sorry I don't have any pictures of it on the phone, I can add some, if anyone wants that.
I think it's well worth the price!
Here is where it can be bought on Amazon:

very easy to remove and leaves no residue of any type or damage.
Can you post a photo of note with the protector?
After having this for about 3 months now, I can easily say this is absolutely the best bang for your buck. My brother went with the cheaper 8 dollar eBay one and its kicking himself for not getting this instead. Installation is easy and allows room for error (can be removed and re-applied), smooth to the touch (necessary for swipe texting) and is still smooth 3 months later.

It is a good purchase pricewise. But after 3 months of use, tiny scratches are appearing on the protector. I wouldn't be mumling about it, but most of the time I use the pouch case when I cary the phone in the pocket. So scratches were a surprise for me. Therefore the claimed 9H of the glass is a bit doubtful.
I almost sprung for this myself until I saw a friend of mine who got this Nillkin on his phone and the leftmost bottom edge would not stick perfectly. You could fit a fingernail underneath it. Seems like the luck of the draw.
I had mine installed at a kiosk just to make sure that if any problem materialized, they could replace it themselves immediately. I forgot the brand, but the fit was perfect.

Bought a Nillkin Tempered GLass for my Note 3. Guess what.....after a month, the screen cracked by itself! I'm very sure it was not caused by wrong handling nor impact. All this 9H hype by Nillkin is just bull!

And why is your brother kicking himself? I have the cheapo ebay one and I have zero complaints. My first protector was a $20-something (shipped) Glass-M which simply broke in my pocket because I leaned somewhere too hard (xperia z1). I am very happy with my $7 ebay deal for my new note 3.
I'm not trying to start an argument, I'm just curious.
Also, sorry for slight off topic.

Just an expression lol, but mainly because it is much less smooth and the non rounded corners bug him. I'm sure there are better ones in eBay, but it's luck of the draw. Images weren't correct in his case.
