I have an HD2 on Simple Mobile. My sim works fine in my ROGERS Magic, but when i put it my hd2, everything is ok until i have to turn the screen or make any sudden movement, then the SIM CARD CANNOT BE FOUND ERROR COMES ON. Can it be one of the readers contacts being defective or dirty? If anyone can help thanks! I'm not usually here to asks questions because most of my questions when i log on are 99.9% answered. Help!
Hey ppl,
Just got my htc hero today, locked to tmobile.
So i get my sim (virgin) and stick it in the phone. All i get is the message 'out of serviceable area' on the screen and i can slide that down to reveal the tmobile screen, that is all!
It works fine with my friends orange sim card (which i had to put in to even unlock the phone!)
Thanks
'service' sorry for the typo

the last post on here seems a little more enlightening? but i still don't know what to do..
I had that problem. My sim card was old and was not able use the data services for that phone, easily solved by a new sim
Please help, have a horrible annoying problem…
Recently upgraded to iphone [to sell]
Put my micro sim in my phone until my normal sim arrived, once I got my normal sim and activated it I found I could longer make calls or send txts. But I can browse the web, very strange.
Currently my signal bar has an exclamation mark next to it, I’ve tried an Orange and T-Mobile sim which work absolutely fine, I have tried other O2 sims but get the same problem.
I’ve also tried flashing using task29, have tried radio’s 2.07.50, 2.10.50 and 2.12.50 and various different roms
Thanks in advance
does the sim still works in the iphone? If not its a sim failure and you should get a new one from your provider
check the small print, your sim probably belongs to jobs corp now, and has deactivated itself and reported your treason directly to the implant in steves head when you took it out of the iphone
Lol going to have to sleep with one eye open...but to answer wilwilwel the micro sim no longer works and the sim im using at the moment works absolutely fine in any other phone
HELP!
I dont know how to get home with out my htc
Hi to all,
Last night i messed up with my HTC HD2
I just put my phone into my pocket and when i saw it after a while its toucvh is not working and also phone is poping msg no simcard
Now there is no sim reading by phone AND also touch is not wrking all the other functions are perfect
I already do soft and hard reset
WHAT HAPPEN TO MY HD2?
IS THERE ANY SOLUTION FOR IT?
thanks for reply
If you have done a hard reset already then you have a hardware problem and not a software problem. If your HD2 is still under warranty send it in to be repaired or exchanged. If not you can find a cell phone repair shop and pay them to fix it or if you want you can tryto do it yourself. It sounds like your digitizer has went out that explains the touch function of your HD2 not working. Now the sim card issue could just be a bad sim card or the sim card reader has stopped working. Bit my money is on a bad sim card.
Hey guys,
I have a Bell Atrix that I got unlocked and have been using it on Rogers. I'm using the SIM from my old HTC Dream and it's been working fine until lately. The card is a little beat up and now for some odd reason when one of my contacts calls me it'll say "Pay Phone" on all contacts. I tried getting a new SIM from Rogers. I put in the SIM and started up the phone logged into motoblur and I'm unable to make calls. It keeps telling me that I can only make emergency calls. I have 5 signal bars at the top and no H+ icon like I do on the old SIM. The SIM they gave me looks a little bit different than my old SIM. the area where the pins on the phone rest is smaller on this new card. Did they give me the wrong SIM? Am I doing something wrong? I'd appreciate any help.
do a search for "pay phone" in the atrix forum you will find your answer for the first one. (not a sim card issue)
as for the second one, call rogers and tell them to make that your active sim (you will need to read off the numbers of the sim card to them)
I have been on an escapade with Google and have received mixed results, so I will turn to my last resort!
My question is, what does it take to use the HTC Aria with a GoPhone SIM card? I have read it will not work, it will work with no issues, and it will work after a SIM unlock. My cousin currently has an HTC Surround and it works fine with his prepay account. He desperately wanted to move back to Android and seems to adore the Aria so I picked up a broken one for cheap with intentions to replace the digitizer next week. Long story short he popped his SIM card in the phone and it does not work.
Both the Surround and the Aria are smartphones from AT&T, different OS or not they should both work if one does. I know he wanted my old Inspire before the rain took it and we encountered the same problem, his SIM wouldnt work. Could it be as simple as carrier unlocking the device or are all the people just getting lucky and their device works with the GoPhone card?
The Aria is currently running CM7, it is of course rooted but is carrier locked if that could be the culprit.
Any help is appreciated, thanks guys and gals! :good:
