Mini Pro spare battery and charger - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned here yet. The battery of the Mini Pro is a model that Sony Ericsson is using for plenty of models and you can pick one up for 12 euro on Amazon. The battery model is BST-38.
I bought a separate charger for it as well, for 22 euro.
Well worth the investment as my Mini Pro never lasts till the end of the day and I can't always recharge it in the afternoon.

You can also pick up the Battery Charger too - the Sony Ericsson EP900 for around £20, if you find you use a lot of battery juice.
X10 Mini Pro Charger - there is plenty to chose from.

i found that battery on german amazon for less than 5 euros... i just wanted to make sure that this is the right battery which I can use in x10 mini pro
http://www.amazon.de/Ericsson-Stand...UAME/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1288972277&sr=8-1
it is pretty cheap. so I am not sure...

nice :good:

[Q] Battery for x10 Mini

Guys, I really need a new battery and also some of you for sure. Everyone knows that Sony Ericsson doesn't sell batteries for the x10 Mini so we have to mod one for sure.
Here's the way how to get the battery apart http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Sony-Ericsson-Xperia-X10-Mini-E10i-Teardown/3124/1
I found this battery http://www.lajal.com/shopexd.asp?id=9 which is identical to our batteries found in our mini, same dimensions but higher capacity. I am sure the connector can be soldered to the battery with special attention. And bdw.. these batteries on ebay are quite cheap
I also found this website which sells x10 mini batteries http://www.giga-tel.com/item-10160-sonyericsson-x10-mini-battery.html but it's a pain in the ass to register
Has anyone tried these??
never knew it was possible to replace mini battery, thought it only possible on mini pro.
In my x10 mini pro the Battery is the same of SE phones. I don't now of the X10 Mini.

Sony EP851 CANCELLED!!! SPA-ACC11 TO BE OFFICIAL BOOST CHARGER

A heads up from my contact with Sony, the reason or the EP851s very limited availability and people being shipped an EP850 instead of an EP851 is because they are CANCELLING the EP851. Instead this will be the Official Sony Boost charger, the SPA-ACC11. Part of the reason for the cancellation is to integrate accessories under the Sony model numbering scheme. The SPA prefix stands for SmartPhone Accessory and will be Sony's new model numbering scheme for all Xperia related accessories. All Xperia related accessories in the future will start with SPA. ACC stands for AC Charger obviously. The SPA-ACC11 just debuted in Japan and should be in the USA by October and the rest of the world by the end of the year. Here is the link to the Japanese site:
http://www.sony.jp/av-acc/products/SPA-ACC11/feature_1.html
UPDATE: Now available for worldwide purchase HERE:
http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/pure-m/item/4905524899825/
Isn't the EP850 the boost charger? At least mine charges the XPERIA in less than an hour. It's got an output of 1500mA... The charger of my Galaxy Tab 10.1 is 2000 mA so uhm... what am I missing here?
Too big.
Awwww I think Sony is messing with us..

What you are missing is it's just part of the transition from Sony Ericsson to Sony. The EP850 will cease to exist. The SPA-ACC11 is the Sony replacement to the Sony Ericsson EP850 going into the future that's all.

EP850 is the included fast charger (1500mA) in the phone package.
EP851 is just the retail version of the same charger.
I guess that's what had him confused.

Well regardless the EP chargers were a Sony Ericsson product. This thread is just a heads up highlighting one of the changes that's coming as Mobile is now a part of Sony. Sony Ericsson EP850/851 being discontinued ----> Sony SPA-ACC11 taking its place as the official 'boost' charger.
SPA stands for SmartPhone Accessory. ACC stands for AC Charger. Much better than the Sony Ericsson numbering scheme.
Looks a bit bulky to me. They could have just renumbered the ep850/851 instead, no? Personally I'm just using my nexus 7 charger (2000 mAh) if I need to fast charge and it means I only need 1 charger if going anywhere. Surely this was the whole point of standardising USB connectors on most devices.

How fast does the Nexus 7 charger charges the Xperia S?
On my local Store they have Nexus 7 chargers for about 25€. Whereas they have the EP851 for 35€.
Xperia TX will ship with "EP-880" in Taiwan

I have never timed it tbh but it's output on the label is 2000mah so I would imagine its at least s a quick as the Sony one. Only use it for convenience TBH. Also in using an xperia u which also supports fast charge

The EP880 will be the 'pack in' charger included with phones cause it is of cheaper quality (designed and made for Sony by Salcomp http://www.salcomp.com/en/) and won't be sold in retail. As far as I know there won't be an EP881 for retail. The SPA-ACC11 will be Sony's own higher quality charger actually designed and produced by Sony charger intended to be sold stand alone as an accessory. You can now buy the SPA-ACC11 here straight from Japan:
http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/pure-m/item/4905524899825/
The SPA-ACC11 is also perfect as the matching official adaptor to go along with the Xperia P, T, TX , V or ION docks as the docks do not include an AC adaptor.

I use the charger from my Touchpad, which is 2000mah (I think).
Takes about 90minutes to charge the Xperia S from <5% to full.

Well that's what my random Nokia charger that I found abandoned on one shelf takes to charge my Xperia S. 90-100 min. So it makes me wonder if non-Sony high power chargers trigger the so called fast charge. 90 min is slow on my record book.
It looks quite old and it has 1200ma. Can't tell to which Nokia model it belonged to.
I also tried with a newer Iphone 4S 1amp charger and it takes AGES to charge my Xperia S. Like 3 hour. I don't know why. Do the math, it's illogical.

My Xperia S refuses to charge at over 500mAh unless i am using the official supplied USB cable.
If i connect a generic USB cable to the supplied EP800 charger it will only charge at a maximum of 500mAh rather than the maximum of 850mAh.
retail EP881:
what is the difference with EP881 and EP851? and why still EP, not SPA-ACC?
Not sure of the current, but my HP Touchpad charger has got my U from 0% (couldn't turn on) to 76% in an hour so far.
That's a 2A output.
I was asking of EP881 vs EP851

Sony said that fast charging works only with the official supplied USB cable.

[Q] which magnetic charger cable should I buy?

Hello!
I bought a Z2 and just have normal cable to it. I want magnetic cable but I saw here at xda that some are make the port come out. Which one should I buy? I saw a wsken official cable:http://www.ebay.com/itm/WSKEN-Official-LED-Magnetic-Charger-Cable-For-Sony-Xperia-Z3-Z2-Z1-Compact-Table-/291512272611?var=&hash=item43df7c46e3:m:mejdIkOu8Mj8vYha4mdVvHw
Anyone using it? Or can recommend a quality one please?
Mr. Dii
Hi.
About the battery charger you are asking do not know, I did not use this, but I can say my opinion about the form 2M-Magnetic-Smart-Charger-Cable-With-LED-For-Sony-Xperia-Z3-Z2-Z-Ultra-Compact - In such a charger I opted and bought because it is more compact than the other and the signal charge can be seen from different angles, not just one side.
I dont know if its my phone , but if you buy a magnetic charger be careful while using it, if you switch the plus and minus it will ruin your battery as it did to my phone! always put plus on plus and minus on minus if you DONT reverse !! and btw , magnetic charger seemed to lower my battery time , it got faster drainage by time and slower charging , again could be my phone or a defect in my batter but whatever you do dont reverse plus and minus

Thanks for tip. I buy one soon.
Madshark2009:
I know. Many hungarian forum member said they killed charging and battery with reverse charging. I always check it.
Look for another option "Nairuid 1M Magnetic LED USB Charging Cable SONY Xperia Z1 Z2 Z3 Ultra Compact s". Now I looked at, it turns out I'm currently taking "Nairuid 1M". They are very similar to those which I wrote to you earlier. What is the difference not know, maybe, or as some minor details. Compare again before buying.

Sony charger vs other brands chargers

So recently I bought a used Sony xperia z2, although its an old device but I'm quite impressed by his performance, look and design I loved it especially that purple color lol.
I've tested two different chargers one from Sony and the other one from my old lenovo phone here's the results (using Ampere )
1- Sony charger EP-800 (belongs to sony M2 I guess) with 850 mA : it only gives me 600mA
2- Lenovo charger (belongs to a cheap phone) with 1,0 A : it gives me 900mA which is perfect
my question is : is it safe to use the lenovo charger? since it gives a nice charging or there are other measurement which prevents using unbranded chargers
also, if anyone here has experienced different chargers please share how did you menage to get a good charging
I'm looking forward to have my question answered and have a great charging tips/tricks thread
P.S : ordering on-line is out of the question for me (excuse my government...)
Best regards.

Frankly speaking, 900mA/h is quite a slow charging speed. My typical charging speed gained is usually above 1A/h with a 2.5A rating charger.
Besides, I have never heard of any OEM forbid the use of any non-generic charger.
Not much tips for you when charging, just try not to use it but keep it power on to get the best result.
Using the Jackos_QuickCharge2.0_rev5.zip that can be found here (forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2/development/sony-secret-revealed-qc-2-0-t3163490) anda QC 3.0 charger my Z2 is able to reach up to 1700 mAh
I recommend it!
I haven't made any scientific measurements myself but I can tell you my Z2 charges faster with the OEM Sony charger than, say, the average Samsung charger. Perhaps OEMs pull some unadvertised optimizations.
My cousin also says his Z2a charges faster with the charger that came with a BLU Pure XL, which claims to pump up to 2.1A.

I don't know about you, but I appreciate longer battery lifespan over charge speed. Charging above the OEM specifications can't be all that good. Different opinions from different folks.

Question Sony xperia iv charger help

Hi Guys
I have just purchased this phone it gonna come in around 2 days or so.
My current phone is the oppo reno x10 phone and i have ad this for about 3 years. My wife has the realme x2 phone.
Both these phones itilise vooc/dash/warp chargin techonoloy and i have a bunch of these plugs around the house.
Would it be safe to use these with this phone. Granted i may not get the fastest chargin possible, but is it gonna be really slow?
Also for this phone, the fast charge is USB to USB C 30 watts, so would i get fast charge with a regulat USB to USB c on a 30watt plug?
Any advice would be appreicated
I use baseues 65W GaN charger mostly but works fine with some 65W from xiaomi and 120W from oneplus.
Though, I'm nut fussed about how fast it actually charges, mine is set to battery care
Yes you can use those chargers, I have been using an Oppo Find X2 Pro charger with my handset; it charges in a couple of hours from zero; also it learns charging habits ie overnight charging
So it's perfectly safe right?
But I don't want it taking hours to charge. I suppose it will be half an hour slower than the dedicated fast charger
it depends what option will you choose. But unlike with other brands, it is your choice.
I'm kind of retentive when it comes to complying with warranty requirements because down the line I don't want to hear any excuses from Sony about something not being able to be covered under a warranty based upon my own negligence. Even though I'm quite sure a non-sony charger can do the job I decided to go ahead and get the official Sony charger. Ironically the only place I could find it was on the official Sony website. I could not find this charger anywhere else.
I bought the official Sony charger from eBay, but I was using my Oppo Find X2 Pro charger beforehand and that was okay
The official Sony charger is available at Amazon UK for £29.59 or thereabouts...
I jut purchased some 30w plug. it was much cheaper then the sony one. Charges fast perfectly.
