[Q] Bluetooth headset won't work after ROM upgrade - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Upgraded ROM yesterday to 1.66.405.2 (76641) WWE tried using my Nokia BH-105 headset, like i have for the past 10 months, but it won't even find it when trying to pair devices.
Any ideas???
Will i need a new headset???
Cheers

Have you put your headset in pairing mode?
Can you test with another bluetooth device (laptop eg), can that device find the headset (when put in pairing mode)?

Pioneer DEH-P70BT works on BA

Hello all,
I could not BELIEVE the Compatibility list of Bluetooth Mobile phones for the Pioneer DEH-P70BT. So I had to go try it myself in the car audio shop.
After some fiddling around, it DOES work ! ! !
A few glitches, bluetooth does not automaticly re-connect when you step in the car. You need to use the radio to create the connection every time. No so bad even, just 4 presses on a few buttons on the radio and you're ready.
Some other things I haven't tried: Phonebook transfer, voice dial and signal strength probably do not work.
This is my BA:
Model: PH20B
ROM version: 1.40.00 WWE
ROM date: 03/10/05
Radio version: 1.13.00
Protocol version: 1337.42
ExtROM version: 1.40.556 WWE[/url]
I have exactly the same problem. But not only with XdaIIs, the same with my Motorola V3.
Last time I survived hard reset, after trying to reconect my XdaIIs to DEH-P70BT.
Thx god I had BackUp on my Laptop.
Now I think to upgrade it to WM5.
8125 bluetooth compatibility for pioneer p-6800 head unit ???
My phone is a HTC 8125 on T-mobile service and it recognizes the the radio's bluetooth but the radio "doesn't" recognize the phone.
I've tested my other phones (nokia and samsung flip phones) and they worked just fine and the clarity was better than a bluetooth headset (in my opinion)
I would like to know if there is a program or adapter I could use to make the 8125 bluetooth version compatible with the pioneer bluetooth version ????
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated!! ;o )

BT Car Stereo
Hi,
I tried DEHP70BT but had problems. Now i'm using VR500CS-BT from Virtual Reality Sound Labs. It works great. Auto reconect works and even has A2DP profile so u can play music from BT PDA via car stereo. About $150.
I use DEH-P65BT and it work well on my BA & SEK800i, Auto Reconect & play music from BT PDA via car stereo
dhid1422, what bluetooth stack & rom are you running on your Blueangel?

Help: wizard & jensen wbt212

I have a wizard & jensen wbt212. I can pair them without problems but the jensen device does not work as handsfree. What can I do to make it work as handsfree? it works perfect as wireless headset with wm player but doesn't wok as handsfree
What did you have to do to make it work as a headphone? Did you install a a2dp hack?
Yes, I installed that hack... but it just work as a headphone... I cannot make it work as a handsfree and answer the phone... any clue?
I am having the same issue with my Cingular 8125. Works great as stereo headphones but won't work as headset. Phone recognizes it as headset, but "turn on headset" is grayed out and it never recognizes the headset.
Please let me know if you find a solution.... I'm frustrated with this
Solution found... flash latest and stable version of either TNT or AMP roms and then (buy and) install JETware mobile add-on... It solved the problem and now it works as both handset and headphone...
Regards

Qtek 2020 rom upgrade and bluetooth

Originally, my qtek 2020 had the WM2003 and I was using a SBS BF400 bluetooth hand-free headset and everything was ok.
This headset uses the 1.2 bluetooth protocol.
When I made the upgrade to WM2005, when using the headset, this was constantly connected (and not in standby) draining down the battery in less than 2 hours.
I downgraded the ROM to WM2003 SE (WindowsMobile2003SE_XDA2_2.06 from buzzdev) and this headset works perfectly.
I am wondering if this ca be a problem of bluetooth protocol: which bluetooth version WM2005 uses? Could it be V2.0 o V2.1? Theorically, it should be compatible with V1.2....
Coulf you enligthened me???
Thanks
software cant change bluetooth versions to support bluetooth 2 the hardware needs to support it
So you are telling me that this should not be a protocol problem as it is working with WM2003 and WM2003SE.
Could it be with the bluetooth stack (widcomm or microsoft)?
could be a thing about the implemetation of the stack yes

3.56 ROM Bluetooth Problem

I just upgraded from 3.35 to 3.56 and I am having a problem with bluetooth. With 3.35, I could connect to a device using hands free and the audio would pass through the bluetooth device even if I had a head phone plug into the usb port. With 3.56, if I have a head phone plugged into the usb port then the audio is shunted to the usb port instead of the bluetooth device. (Before someone asks--- I have my car setup to allow me to listen to music from the phone and to also have hands free bluetooth working... NOTE my car's bluetooth doesn't support A2DP).
In other words, is there a registry key that will force bluetooth audio to supersede the usb port so that I can get 3.56 to behave the way 3.35 did?
Thanks

I am using the new radio (3.42.30)... I upgraded the radio a few days before I upgraded the ROM. The new radio is a big improvement over the older radio but unfortunately, it isn't related to the problem I'm having. This is a difference in the bluetooth implementation between 3.35 and 3.56 roms... I hope there is a work around otherwise, I will be forced to revert back to 3.35. Oh well....
Thanks
I found the fix!!!
This is the registry key
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\AudioPath]
"AudioPathSwitchToWired"=dword:00000000
If AudioPathSwitchToWired = 0 then bluetooth will be the primary output
If AudioPathSwitchToWired = 1 then usb audio will be the primary output (Default setting)

[Q] Bluetooth connection problems

Hello together,
I have a problem with bluetooth connections:
I'm using a HTC Desire, rooted and flashed with a ROM from Alex-V Android Version 2.3.3 with the 2.6.35.8 Kernel.
I have two bluetooth devices:
MM100 Stereo Headset from Sennheiser
BT-Version: 2.0 + EDR
Protocolls: HSP, HFP, A2ADP, AVRCP
and the Hands free car kit Parrot MK6000
BT-Version: 1.2
Protocolls: HSP, HFP, AADP, AVRCP
I can pair both devices with my Desire and the latest paired device would connect automatically to audiosystem for media and telefone when switched on.
The problem is, that the first paired device would not connect automatically to my desire and when it is connected manually it would only connect to the audiosystem for media not telefone.
I can't force it to connect with audiosystem for telefone. I checked and un-checked the check-boxes for both connections in every combination :-(
Remark: I don't want to connect both devices at the same time. I know that this is not working ;-)
With the original HTC Rom I doesn't had this problem. Both devices would pair and connect perfect.
Does anyone has the same problem, or perhaps a solution for this problem?

Hello,
is there no one outside with two Bluetooth Hands free devices?
Does anyone has the same problem?
