And AT&T, Verizon, or Cricket is better? LOL!!!!!!!!!! T-Mobile reps are like angels in comparison.
Or, worst case scenario, grab you a program that recovers deleted data from removable memory. There's a million of them out there and unless you formatted the card a dozen times or filled it slap full, it'll likely be easily recoverable.
Why do people keep saying T-mobile will give you Avatar back again? Maybe if we have one in returns but we don't just have a copy of the movie laying around to transfer it back onto your phone. Sorry its gone for good, go buy the movie and rip it to your computer. Then put it back on your phone.

No, we don't. If the customer deletes the file themselves manually or through a factory reset we have been advised not to replace it. We had to many people selling HD2s on ebay & craigslist and keeping the memory card. Then the new owner expected us to transfer the missing movie to their replacement cards.

Could someone please post the avatar movie file and the other exclusive apps, such as sim 3, mobi tv, and gogo, and whatever other useful apks i can use on my evo.
Download the vibrant dump from the developer section. It does not come with the avatar movie though, nor will the avatar movie even work on your evo its got DRM. It also does not have the sims 3 and we cant post it... that would be illegal lol....

Cool features? I rather get stock Android applications, a lot of these things that hes requesting for are bloatware and a lot of us uninstall it. The things like The Sims and Avatar are neat but they are DRM protected. Also the applications like Mobitv, Kindle, etc that come preloaded with the phone aren't the actual app.. they are generally 30-day trials.
How bout you get rid of that evo and get a vibrant, or epic if your on sprint.

It WILL play without the apk file, it WILL play if moved to another Vibrant, it WON'T play on any other device, and it IS illegal to upload it because it's copyright Fox or whomever.
On a side note, how the HELL do people keep deleting this thing?
Oh, and because it was bothering me: "Avatar", "without", "Could", "Avatar", "their".

Or if you got a old phone with a SD card hook both up to the USB and just copy it over to the new SD card. Or you could probably even get away with copying it to your Samsung 14GB internal then switching the old SD to the new and then cutting it into the new SD card

Not really I just copied everything from the SDCard over to my old one. It appears to download the license after you sign up for the service. It doesn't seem to be downloading it. Maybe the license can't be downloaded via wifi. I will try it after it gets done downloading Spiderman.
Also so you can view 3D pictures with a NVidia Card and 3D glasses, Nice!
The movie is on the SD card. It's 1.76 GB. I haven't tried using 3g to download the license, as I haven't activated the phone yet.

DRM FTW
All DRM has ever done was make things more difficult for non pirates, perhaps driving legitimate purchasers to piracy. The pirates aren't going to pay for it anyway and now paying customers are reluctant to as well.

after countless stupid ass hdcp errors, firmware issues, protection issues, etc i said **** it and have downloaded torrent 1080p rips ever since. havent purchased a blu-ray since.
I have a feeling it's due to the device not being officially "released". If you need to check out 3D video/pictures, check out the preloaded gallery photos, or search youtube for "3D". There are some cool vids out there. I also already downloaded an imax 3d movie and it looks spectacular.

I think I remember something about sprint family tracker. You could check that out, but I think your gps has to have been on.
Depending on how smart the person that picked it up is, you may be able to install a tracking app from the Market from your computer and find it(as long as they haven't logged out of your account). You may be surprised. I would retrace my steps and see if anyone turned it in. Since it is a Saturday night I would assume that most likely you left it at a restaurant or bar. I would go back to each one of them(once they open) and see if someone turned it in. If not, you will have to report it stolen and get a new one through TEP if you have it. I always, ALWAYS carry TEP on my phones. It's a lot easier to come up with $100 deductible then to come up with $600 to buy one outright.
Ok. I'm sober now drinking my coffee.

I've called and texted my phone a million times (I have to slow down or my battery will die). I do have the $100 dollar insurance but am bummed out about the new hboot.
What's the name of the app that tracks it and how do I install it to my phone from either my tabs or PC?

The name of the app is Plan B. It's by the same company as Lookout.
Here's what it says on their website: "Lookout has an app called Plan B which can locate your phone after you've lost it. The phone needs to be powered on and have a network and data connection. Just go to the online Android Market (http://market.android.com), log into your Android Market account, and install the app to your missing phone. If you are able to install the app and it runs, you will begin to get emails to the Gmail account that you have registered with the Android market with location information."
I also read after you install it, you have to send a text that says "locate." I've even read where someone didn't start getting the emails til the next day. The phone had died, but then the person who had it recharged it!
Oh, yeah. After you install the app to your phone, install Lookout to your tablet, just in case. Not only can you do the locate thing, but Lookout also examines any app you download for malware.
Hope this helps. Keep us posted.

You can log into the market from your computer and have it install plan b on your phone remotely . The phone of course has to be on and your gmail account still linked on the phone. Plan b is for when you have already lost your phone and didn't have a tracking app installed. I just installed the sprint tep app that does the same thing as lookout for for free(I'm guessing you need to have tep for it to work?) Anyway if you are looking for a replacement for AT&T, I would suggest to try SGSII: Skyrocket, it support 4G LTE. It will be faster than the current 4G H+.
I think you should wait for samsung galaxy s2 hd lte to come out, give your current phone to her, and get the new one.

Try Androidlost app from the market, I think it's probably the only app you can push to the phone after its lost and use the web interface to do a host of things like remotely locking and wipe SD. Plus you can make the phone scream at whoever has it, take photos and send you history of call/sms records etc.

Good question, How do I do a recovery on a phone I don't have?
I tried android lost but since the phone is off or the sim is out I can not install it.
That being said I could have used whers my droid pro to send me a text with the new number if they put a new sim card in. But I only expected to locate a misplaced phone not a stolen one.
Learn from my mistake and set up these apps on ur phone now.
No it was not locked she has always worked in a office and had gotten complacent.
What is the S2 HD LTE and when is it coming out?
We all know the S2 beats the hell out of a skyrocket.
I can't affoed over $400 for a new phone so looks like she will get my old GS or and old Iphone.
If anyone is upgrading and can work with me let me know.
Thanks again.

Not too long ago, ATT was selling SGSII refurbs for $0.01. I got one for my better half, and it's sailing along famously.
That was for $0.01 with a two year contract correct? We paid $.96 each for the two we bought, but now we are not able to upgrade again. Can't get that deal.

Skyrocket is still SGSII. I am not far off... (It's just SGSII little bro) LOL! Don't get me wrong, I just got myself the SGSII and love it. I was going to recommend both, but end up recommending Skyrocket (your version: ****rocket. LOL) because of the 4G LTE feature. If the SGSII had the 4G LTE, I would not even flinch recommending it.

Thanks clor01, but I followed that to Samsung Dive and it tells all about how to set it up and where it works. Looks like USA is still running behind in technology. Our phone doesn't even have the option of activating it. But it looks like a great addition to any phone.

Lol, plan b app: for when you do something really stupid and desperately want to undo it. Also known as: the 'morning after' app

Follow up on out come
Sent my old GS1 to have the unbrickablemod applied to it. Downloaded 2.3.5 from Samsung's website. I then rooted the phone and installed the Corn Kernel so I can use CWM. Set phone up to look as close as I could to her GS2, as well as used all the battery saving tricks. Added Wheres My Droid AND Android Lost and set them up completely. Thanks for everyones feed back.
Ken
somebody pushed me into a pool with my clothes on a few weeks ago and I had my Samsung gs3 on me
I've tried drying it, took it apart, tried to dry the motherboard separately,... but nothing worked.
I got a new gs3 and the only thing I care about now is to retrive my photos if possible. The water damaged phone won't turn on and it won't connect to a computer. To make sure that the problem is the motherboard not the screen I've switched the motherboards to see if it works or connects to computer but it won't.
Does anybody know how I might be able to retrive my photos?
I think the solution might be to take the phone's internal memory out and maybe install it on a working board and recover photos from there but I dunno if that thought is doable??
Anybody knows of a repair shop that could do that for me?
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance
Yeah ..i saw someone do that once ...in an episode of CSI !!
I know its not that helpful but hey ..at least im trying to cheer you up .
Good luck with your project and ask your dumbass friend to buy you another s3

I will, but the problem is I already took it to a repair shop and they couldn't help me and there are not a lot of pros in this field in the city I'm leaving
I thought maybe somebody could refer me to a pro and I ask them or mail the phone/motherboard to them
Sorry to hear about that, things happen though.
Did some research for you and found this: http://digital-photography-school.com/recover-images-from-a-damaged-sd-card
but I am not entirely sure it will work. If anything, you would take the phone back to Samsung to have the data removed
unless you have lost your warranty.
Good luck anyway.
It's probably possible to recover the data from the integrated ssd drive through complex and very specialized tools aswell as lots of work.
This would involve desoldering the chip from the motherboard and hope it's not defective due to your attempts to use the device.

In future, open a dropbox account and install dropbox on your phone.
This way, all your photos will upload automaticly to your dropbox account without any manipulation.
Good luck Bro !
thanks for the search
but unfortunately I wan't using sd card before so the pics are on the phone's memory
I do still have the warranty and I called Samsung but they would just repair it and wipe all the data off the phone they won't recover it for me
