Can't copy large files to phone - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Everytime i try to copy a large file to my phone i usually get the following message:
"the device has either stopped responding or been disconnected"
in particular i am trying to copy an android build to my sd card so i can test it.
PS: i was trying to format my sd card, but i couldnt find the "sd card format" in the settings...
i am running energy rom (august) and soon will be updated to the latest version

either connect in disk mode, not activesync mode, or use a card reader.

is it possible to tell me how to find the menu to switch to disk mode? tbh im kinda lost in the settings with the energy rom :/
edit: nvm. i think i got it. thanks for the reply mate!

Stuck on BL screen, nothing seems to work!

When I turn on my phone using JUST the power button, it vibrates, and that's it. The screen doesn't turn, nor do any lights.
When I turn on the phone using the BL Screen (rainbow, POWER+Comm+Camera), it shows me:
TITA100 MFG
SPL-2.40 Olipro
CLPD-9
Then, when I plug it to my computer, it reads the device, and tells me its "WM 6.1.6965".
I want to be able to turn on my phone and let the OS boot normally, but nothing seems to work! I've tried flashing different ROMs and Radios, but they all seems to have either an "Image Error" or "They cannot find a device" on my computer.
I want to be able to use my phone, but I have no idea where to start. How did it get to this state?
I'm not sure.
PLEASE HELP ME. Much appreciated.
have you tried the sd card method. Where you rename the rom in the update called RUU_signed.nbh to TITAIMG.nbh and place it on the root of the sd card ( a fat 32 formatted non sdhc card) any small one will do as long as its big enough to hold the rom normally about 70-100mb so a 128mb or bigger card should work but nothing over 2gb card wise. All you do is put the file that you renamed onto the micro sd card then go into the boot loader screen of your phone via power+camera+reset it will briefly say serial then go to a screen prompting you to update follow what buttons to push to do the update via the on screen prompts, once done it will say update complete. It has been my best experience to take the battery out for 20-30sec when this screen comes up then replace the battery and boot via the power button. Hope this helps.
Oh I could have flamed you for not searching and provided you a link to one of the many forums on here already about the titan (ppc6800) but sometimes its just as easy to take 2 min to post what works as it is to digg up the proper forum via search results.
Thanks for the info.
However, I have searched the forums, and everyone seems to have a happy go lucky time when it comes to flashing, which would mean...that I'M not.
Nevertheless, I have tried the SD Card method, with the proper card (1 gig, FAT32, 1024), and when I put it in the Phone, it says "Loading...", then "NO IMAGE FILE!"
I don't know what's up with that. I've tried different custom and official ROMs, and each time I get that message.
put the USB earphone/ USB power plug into the phone and push the reset button
not to make you sound dumb but make sure that you put the RUU_signed.nbh file on there from the downloaded rom or official rom via looking @ the exe with winrar or similar software ... then rename it to TITAIMG.nbh and place on the card... i had similar problems but got past them via doing a full format of the sd card with these selected options 4kb sectors and fat 32 for the format and un-checking quick format once formatted that way the boot loader saw the image and i was able to flash.
I reformatted using the suggested parameters, and even so, it said "No Image File!"
I did rename the RUU.nbh file to TITAIMG.nbh, and even then.
That's why this is so frustrating for me. It makes no sense that this doesn't work.
Thanks.
i guess you need to search the forums for the program that un-bricks your phone seems that something is wrong and part of the phone is not working, however sense the computer sees the device you should be able to run one of the programs to bring it back.
on a side not try if you have one available another sd card some don't like to work with the boot loader but will still work fine with the phone as an sd card.
The file is on the card base directory and not in a folder right? If you place it in a folder it will not see it. I had to do the SD flash on my XV6800 because I screwed it up by not loading the Radio first.

[Q] Cant install any rom/nbh *solved*

I was on nand android and wanted to reset phone to stock rom(selling my phone).
So I downloaded and put LEOIMG.nbh to my sdcard and then pressed reset button. After that i booted to bootloader and it asked something lik: "u want to apply update from sd" and i pressed "yes". Then it installed something and after that it booted to bootloader and showed the message as in image I included.
Second image is what it shows when i try to install nbh from sd card.
What should i do to get my phone to stock again?
E: if i try to install any .exe roms it goes few percents and then my phone disconnects and flashing stops
Did you download the correct stock ROM?
Did you correctly decompress the RUU.exe file?
Did you use a large SD card? Sometimes, bigger than 2 (up to 8) GB does not work. Furthermore, the card should be formatted FAT32, and the ROM image should be in the root directory - but only 1 ROM image.
Can someone please help me?

lost winmo 6.5
I have (had?) an EU HD2 (with original ROM and RADIO). I had problem with blutooth, after 2 mins disconnected.
I thought the factory reset is a good idea to solve my problem. After factory reset (settings ->security -> factory reset -> 1234) my phone lost the winmo 6.5 cab files. Now there is only SENSE (MANILA) on my phone, and HD2 is looking for cab files on Windows folder.
I downloaded the cab files from internet, but with Actyvsinc I can't find Windows folder. I tried to take cab files to root or in other folders or to memory card. Not works. Without Windows Mobile - File explorer - I can't run cab files on device.
I tried run RUU from my PC, but I had ERROR CODE: INVALID VENDER ID
I tried this process too: 3w.jayceooi.com/2011/01/01/how-to-upgrade-htc-hd2-rom-through-sd-card-video without any result.
After reboot - after error message - the phone try to find WiFi access point. Is its possible, that automaticaly will download the missing cab files? (at home I don't have WiFi router)
I tried with those files:
htc_leo_wm65_5in1_eeu_1_66_v02_1.cab
htc_leo_wm65_5in1_eeu_1_66_v02_2.cab
RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_EastEurope_1.66.479.2_Radio_CRC_Signed_15.32.50.07U_2.07.51.22_2_Ship.exe (same like my phone's)
Can someone help me?

[Q] Strange SD card problem

Hi
I had some really strange issues with my SD card files and I was wondering if anyone could help.
Let's start with the start .
I'm running a GB ROM (OneDroid GB06) with Franco's kernel from 02 oct. Using a 16Gb class 6 SD card from A-Data. Partitions made with CWR version 3.1 (I think).
Anyway the problem is like this. I am using my phone as a voice recorder with AndRecorder Free from the Market. Usually record 10-15 minutes (up to 15MB) interviews and sometimes I record like 10 of them without downloading them to the PC. The problem I had was that after I recorded a few of them, when I connect the phone to PC with data cable, I can't see the recorded files in Explorer.
At first I had an issue when connecting the phone in USB storage mode it told me that I had some errors that had to be fixed. I could not see the files I needed in explorer and after dissconnecting from PC the files were gone from OI File Manager as well. I was however able to find them in the LOST.DIR.
I took the card out, put it in a card reader, backed up my files and did a full format and put all my files back. No more "need to fix" messages when connecting to PC, however I still cannot see the files that I record in Windows Explorer while connected in USB storage mode. In Oi File Manager I can see them, play them and even send to Dropbox via WiFi. Or if I take the card out and put it in a reader I am able to see them in Explorer as well.
Anyone has any idea about this? Kernel or ROM issue?
I used the same program (AndRecorder) before on 2.2 and I'm using it on another O1 running official 2.2.2 and never had a problem like this.

Few times the same problem happens to me I am using a sandisk 4gb SDHC card and i clicked some photos from the camera and those photos were visible in the gallery but when i connected to usb storage on computer, photos were not visible... I'm also using FRANCO.KERNEL for gingerbread 2oct but with stock ROM..
First - install Root Toolbox or Dual SD mount widget and try double-mounting the card when connected. If it fails try copying the parent folder to PC or try to list via typing (Should be on the sdcard directory you store the files) dir /a:h or dir /a:s in cmd (Should be your last hope, though).
Otherwise, try setting up a FTP Server and make sure the card is using a FAT32 file system.
Ianis, thanks for the solution, but I just want a way to make it work as it should, not to try and go back in DOS mode just to copy some freaking files.
Did you try:

Try fix permissions in CWM. If that is not helping, use Root Explorer an check file or folder permissions. Also try to swich between R/O and R/W modes.
Try to buy another phone and sd card!

Next time keep your mouth shut. At least this way the other people won't be aware of the disaster that lies within.

[Q] Problem With SD Card

Hey guys!
I'm having a problem with my SD Card here...
The SD was normal, my phone was normal too, but I decided to Unlock my Bootloader...
The bootloader is unlocked now, I installed a custom kernel "NaA" and I reflashed my room, just to make sure.
But, after all this, the SD Card problem begun...
Every time I connect my phone to the PC, the message "touch the button to connect bla bla bla" appears normaly, but when I touch the button to see the content of the SD Card on my PC, automaticaly appears the message on the StatusBar that I can safely remove my SD Card.
I cant formmat via PC, because he dont recognize my SD (Because of the "touch button" problem)...
What can I do?
Thanks!
Well, I've no idea what's causing that but you should be able to see what's on the SD card via your PC by using the memory stick adaptor that came in the box with your phone. Or try buying a memory card reader.
Or..when you connect your phone to the PC, don't select the option to view your files on the window that pops up, just select the bottom option instead ("Charge Phone" or something similar). Then use your pull-down menu and select the USB Storage option.
Normally, this lets you view the contents of your memory card on the PC. Because I don't know why you're having the issue you are, I don't know if this'll work or not but it's worth a try.

Noob mistake. Wiped data in TWRP - Including the OS

My G3 is a blank slate right now.
I put the SD card into my PC and downloaded the CM12 file and the Gapps file. Now with it back in the phone I can't find them. I click install > External Sd > nothing there.
Under "mount" it wont let me click the SD card.
Where do I start?
I would plug the phone in and reflash back stock and start over. But u could try mounting the the phone as usb storage and dl the files directly to it thn search for them on the internal storage since it wont connect to the sd.

Plug it into where and reflash it how? You have to ELI5. I'm reformatting my SD card now to see if it will recognize it.
Wow. I really had to go through some trial and error there. I spend the last few hours trying to get the ADB side loading to work. Trying ever driver known to man. I kept getting the no devices message. There was a specific order that it had to be done in order for it to be recognizing the device at the time of loading. Enable mtp > adp > plug in > side load.
I'm up and running CM12 now. And I'm ready for bed!
Since you have twrp installed, why not just get an SD card and put a ROM on it and flash? Seems like the easy way to me.
For future reference, was the phone recognized by adb when in TWRP? If so, did you try to push any files to the internal storage?
I did that once I just flashed a tot file then just rerooted I couldn't connect phone back with adb or anything
