hi everybody!
just wanted to change my legend to like wm7 as seen in another thread and got the question/idea for different wallpapers.
sounds confusing but i will explain my idea: for example at screen 1 i want a black background, screen 2 to 4 another background (with or without wallpaper hack).
is there an app to do this?
thanks in regard!
Wallpaper plus
Strike!
Thank you!

Hi guys, I've got an image (800 x 1200 px) that I would like as my lock screen image on the standard Samsung lockscreen but when I use the native lock screen cropping the image ends up blurry. Is there a way to optimize the image using Photoshop or something similar for a crisp image?
And do I make the image exactly 480x800 or do I compensate for the status bar?
Thanks guys

I've encountered this problem on the home screen wall chooser too. Some problem with the way android down samples the image. It compresses the pic as well i think.
480x800 is fine, you dont need to compensate for the status bar, unless there's something important that's blocked by it.

960x800 is the size of scrollable wallpaper. 480x800 for non-scrollable, just like the above mentioned lockscreen.

Hello, I am having a little issue with my wallpapers. Any of them that have a fading effect end up with a weird thing happening to them. The wallpaper I am trying to use is a basic faded blue wallpaper but when I use it as a wallpaper it gets pixelated. It looks fine on the computer and in PhotoShop, but not the phone. This happens with all pictures like that, from my computer, Zedge, where ever.
So, is there any way to fix this pixely looking picture into what it really is? Any option I can change? I am using ThaUnknownArtist's Ice Cream Sandwich Final ROM. I know it is not the launcher, since I have tried it with Go, LP, and ADW.
Sorry I can't post the pictures, I am new on XDA and it won't let me post outside URL's. Thanks to anyone with an answer!
I think it's so because our phones screen outputs only 265K colors instead of 16M like some other phones.

No, it doesn't have to do with the screen. Just tried the same picture on another Optimus V and it looked fine. Maybe it's the ROM? I'll see what I can do. Any tips though?

In CM7 roms there is a option for surface dithering, if its unchecked then this might also cause your symtoms

there still are these GIF-like colors also when surface dithering is enabled.
It is a known issue caused by the poor screen of p500 and the lack of dithering in some roms. A workaround is to download quickpic from market and put a wallpaper through that app. Dithering problems is almost gone in quickpic
Thank you! I put the wallpaper through Quick Pic and it fixed it. Seems like it was a problem with the gallery.

thanks for you answer. i've downloaded a flashable zip of dna stock rom.
i've found weather icons in com.htc.weather.res.apk. i wanted to use that but are very strange jpg's, because they have a strange background (filled of a mix of colours as in the attached image) instead of transparent background. do you know why?

Jpg's will always have a white or colored background. You can achieve a transparent background with a png for example.

Guys,
Its been so long since i last asked for some themers to get into action for my TWRP.
Those were dark days i know; sometimes adb failed you, in other times SD card left you along the way and yet there were times when it failed to do simple installs/backups/wipes. :banghead:
But times have changed now, its working:good:, it reliable:good:, its has a large user base:good:.
Perfect time for themers to get a name/fame/recognition:victory:. I have a couple of ideas myself, but my fingers are allergic to mouse (or i'm not a good artist).
So here it goes:
1. Google Now themed
2. MIUI Themed
3. Sense Style
4. Holo or ICS look
etc etc.
Plus, its actually not that difficult once you have created all the pics with proper resolution.
The XML engine in twrp is EXTREMELY :angel:easy to use and I can personally guide you wherever you need help:highfive:.
I hope there will be lots of applicants.:fingers-crossed:
Regards
Yasir
Sweet man, I'll give holo a bash!

is this guide applicable http://www.teamw.in/twrp2-theme-guide? if it is then it seems quite easy and i'll definatley have a crack at it, also would it be possible to re-size themes already made and edit the applicable .xml's so they would work and look ok for our device ?
Play with this

Great! Cheers - I've started work on a Holo theme now.
Just drafting a few ideas for a logo for the top bar, how do you like these? - a few variations on the same theme, and one in context.
Blue grey looks good .
No one up for Google now style ?

Aye, I'll work through them all after I've done Holo (...because that'll be the one I use...)

Here's my try holo dark and light.
Right, that's enough messing around with logos etc today. Here's where I've got to:
If you like it and wanna use it for anything, or want me to make any other variations for your other work, just drop me a pm.
I'll start work on the themes tomorrow.
