[Q] Rooting x10 mini pro with 1-click root - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

I recently bought the x10 mini pro. The primary reason that I would like to root is to remove the unnecessary apps pre-installed in the device, and to install some other apps where root is necessary.
I have read a couple of threads on rooting. One of the easiest so far seems to be the 1-click root, and it allows you to un-root your device, which is brilliant for warranty purposes. But I would like to hear your experiences especially from people who have rooted using 1-click root.
1) After rooting, were there any problems?

Ive rooted my Mini Pro using the one touch/click app, and I havent had any problems

same here no problem

Is the 1-click method of rooting the same as exploid method where one needs to download adb shell and busybox to execute the adb and busybox commands? Or can one just straight away launch the terminal and remove the unnecessary apps?

Busy Box is something that you install on your Droid to give you some additional handy LINUX / UNIX based commands. You need Busy Box installed because some commands are not available to you and you made need them for some root level tasks.
As for downloading it should be available in market!!

ATTN MODERATOR delete please

As i mentioned I lost root access after the update today. I am still able to use launcher pro but i can't use titanium backup or set cpu. On a side note i did notice that my superuser permissions app is no longer in the menu (the one with the ninja). I tried to redo the root but it can never find the update.zip. I tried rooting it manually and with One click root with no success. Its been awhile since I loaded Launcher pro, but doesn't that require root access. Any thoughts?

[Q] Newbie with SE Xperia X10 mini pro

Hi everyone,
I recently receive my new SE X10 mini pro from Vodafone, and I already updated it using PC Companion!
Model: U20i
Version: 2.1-update1
Kernel: 2.6.29
Compilation: 2.0.A.0.504
And now, How can I root him?
I read that we can use z4root and found it in Market, but I did not found that program.
Can someone please help me?
Thanks
It seems that google have removed it from the market. You can find it here instead:

I tried to root just about an hour ago with Z4Mod... it seemed like it worked, superuser installed.... but when I tried to download to titanium backup to make sure busybox was installed it said I did not have root.
Verified this by typing su in terminal emulator as well.
What am I doing wrong?
AT&T 1.6 Mini Pro
Thank you!
Also, are there no custom ROMs for this phone?
How can I make it faster?
Is there support for apps 2 SD?
No custom roms yet.
Apps 2 SD is supported.

Z4Mod says the phone is rooted... superuser installs.
However, I do not have root. Titianium Backup states so, and terminal emulater su does not return a #.
Anything i need to do to make this Z4Mod root my mini pro?

I fixed that by enabling USB debugging in the settingss from the x10. maybe it helps for you too.
Try downloading busybox from titanium backup (click "Problems?")
Sure! I have just rooted using it. Type z4root in the search box here in the forum. Someone put a link to the app. You download it to your computer and then to your phone. Install it and it is ready to root a**!

DigiLand DL718M Root wanted! 5.1 Lollipop!

So, I've tried probably EVERY method for root. I've used iRoot, King Root, Kingo Root, Towel Root, etc. and none of them have worked. Has anyone found out how to root this tablet?
I'm just commenting because ive been trying the same. I'd like to know an answer also.
I'm also looking for a root method. It's very worth it.
I have tried to root my tablet also and cannot find a way to do it. Please, someone help to root the DL718M
I've got root
So there is another thread here on XDA where another user was able to get root with KingRoot apk one click root v 4.8.2 that you can get by searching for it here on XDA. I was also successfully able to root the device and also switched to SuperSu instead of the KingRoot app as it is kind of notorious for being a bit shady. This was done with the app SuperSu me pro from the playstore. It was all fairly easy to do. Only thing is I can't figure out how to get custom recovery and or Xposed framework to work. But all other root apps work such as changing font, root explorers, etc.
I've done exactly that without any success. I've tried KingRoot versions 4.8.2, 4.8.5, and 4.9.0.
I have the same build, kernel and model, and I've turned on Debugging and turned off "Warn about potentially harmful apps". I have tried each version of K.R. 5 time each without any success. Any tips?
Didn't work for me...

I've tried with KingRoot as well, but so far, no luck with it on this device. Worked great to root two of my other devices, tho.
Is there any easy way to root this, preferably without pc?
