I have tried everything. I have searched all over the internet and I can't find anything. I don't hear an audible beep when another call is trying to come through.
I have call waiting enabled and I have all the volume turned up. Any ideas?
Try factory reset? Are you rooted? Rom? Not sure but i get a beep and then two beeps

I have the same issue. I had a call coming in, and I didn't notice it until I saw the screen.
found it....
Ok... This drove me crazy with my wife's phone. Searched all the forums I could find with no luck.
Go to Settings, Call Settings, All Calls, Alerts On Call. Hers was on vibrate. I clicked sound and it works fine now. Off also works.
Hope this works for everyone.

Hey guys.
I rooted my phone and unrooted it. Now im having a problem when making phone calls. I cant hear it ringing until right before voicemail. So I call a second time and it works fine. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be? Is there a certain setting IDK about?
Ive looked around on here and googled with no luck. Any ideas would be great.

Anyone have any suggestions?
Hmm ... maybe try activating your phone and updating roaming. *228 option 1, reboot, *228 option 2, reboot. They maybe put it in airplane mode for a few minutes.
Was on a call, an email came to my exchange account and it started playing from my earpiece. Couldn't hear a word of the other party. Cut the call and restarted the phone. Was on a call with him again and then an another mail. BAM was waiting for the song to end.
I tried opening the email. Reducing the volume to minimum. Turning the speaker on. Mute the call. shake the phone arghhhh
I work on night shifts and the song "RIGHT NOWWWWW" by Korn plays when an email comes The second time I let it play and was just mute. damnit.
Is this how the phone normally behave? Just bought it a few days back. This doesn't happen when I am on a Viber call. only on GSM calls...
Am running stock samsung ofw 4.0.3 with SiyahKernel S2-v5.0i.

for anyone facing the problem of notifications during calls, you can do the below to turn them off during calls.
system settings -> call -> call alert -> alert on call (you need to uncheck this.)
done

When I make or receive phone calls on my phone, I cannot hear the other person - however they can hear me. I can hear them when speaker phone is on though. All my settings are normal, and nothing has changed since the last time my phone worked. Would this be a hardware issue? Is there any purpose to factory resetting my phone?
Thanks

Hi all,
I was wondering if there is an app or method that can enable me to make my phone as appear to others that ring me as being switched off? There is nothing more frustrating when I am trying to study than the times when I hear my phone ringing and I am forced to stop what I am doing to answer my friends phonecalls. Even if I ignore the calls, I feel obligated to call back and there is always the possibility that the person will call again which really puts me off my work. Having said that, I need to have my phone switched on to receive calls in order to organize car journeys so turning it off is not an option. Is there anything I can do?
You can use the built in 'Do not disturb' in Android. No other app needed.

Thanks for the reply! Would this make my phone calls go to voicemail instantly?
Airplane mode is perfect.
I was trying to place a call with my Moto G Power using Whatsapp as well as Fongo (free phone calling app ) and could not hear any sound after the call was placed. no ring tone, no one on the other end. Turns out that the caller could hear me but I could not hear them.
Turns out that I had switched "data Saver" on. For some reason, when data saver is on, no sound comes from any phone type app. When I turn it off, no problems. Thought I would share this as I had not seen this problem or a solution anywhere.
Apologies if this is the wrong spot in the forum for this, but I just joined.
Take care.
