I was in my call settings menu and there was a HAC mode and call barring. What do both of those settings do?

HAC = Hearing Aid Compatibility
Call Barring = The ability to restrict certain types of calls (incoming, outgoing, international, etc.)
Thanks

HAC
If you aare a little deaf like myself HAC will help a lot, if you are not, then it may sound a little crappy

I want to put ringer silent while I getting in coming call. I'm using samsung vibrant group froyo 2.2. It is showing accept /reject/reject with sms.

Just press the volume key. I've tried it and it works.

No. can I add option like mute the ringer while call is coming. Instead of reject with sms I want option like silent ring .

You can always choose "none" for ringtone. Otherwise I don't believe that option exists yet. You can also disable the vibration too.
Hit the power button while call is coming in, silences the ring.
Us it's working thanks

Now that is cool! Thanks!
Is there a simple way to turn off noise cancellation? I need to test if my recipient echoing are present when it is turned off in cm9/aokp.
Settings/ call/ advanced settings. There you'll see selection to turn off noise reduction/ suppresion

I don't remember seeing that in aokp. As I suspect, after looking, that setting is not there.

I am working on a way to switch of noise reduction at an application level on all ROM's and on (potentially) all Samsung devices. Please register your interest here
Hey everyone,
I'm hoping there's a way to do this that I'm not seeing, but it's looking grim. I use Skype for all my calls and on my Nexus 4, I am able to set the phone dialer to dial out using Skype (it pops up and gives me the option to set a default when I make a call). I just got my DNA, and I want to do the same thing...but no option. Is this a Sense thing? Thanks in advance!
Can you not set it up through the internet call settings.

From what I understand, that's only for if you pay for SIP service (something with Skype Connect)...which I don't. I just use the app.
On the N4, the phone app gives me the option to dial out using Skype, or any other call-capable app like GrooVeIP.
Does anyone know if they removed the feature where you are in messaging app in a conversation and then hold the phone to ear and it automatically dials that person? I can't seem to find it.

Thanks. I actually had it enabled. I guess I turned it on when I went through the settings real quick and didn't even realize it. It wasn't working, I had to toggle it off and back on to get it to work.
