Since upgrading to 2.1 all I have been rocking is the Nexus live wallpaper. I have tried plenty others, but they either dont play well with orientation switching in ADW or they seriously eat up battery power. In fact, most wallpapers that I have downloaded tend to get my Streak a little warm just from sitting at the home screen for a minute or two.
So for those rocking 2.1, what live wallpapers have you found to work great?

I just use the nexus wall paper, there are a couple others i use galactic core recommended from another thread i think along with silhouette
Both really nice, and not heavy on the battery at all
Oh and flying toasters is a good one too, not sure abt the battery useage on that one tho
City at Night is amazing on the Dell Streak...
I also use the Thunderstorm live wallpaper but it seems pixelated... but not too bad
Try the Droid X ADW theme. Looks great on Streak!

I would love to see That sexy UI of Honeycomb on my Steak 5inch. Anyone think Dell or Someone will Be able to get it working on Our Streaks? I mean it is a Tablet lol!
I wudnt be counting on dell to do it...they launched their new tablet with 2.2, not even 2.3...honeycomb seems far far away..
I'd like to see the email app migrated over - unsure about the rest to be honest.

I wasn't blown away by the 3.0 demo.
As long as my device is snappy and has ability to run the latests apps... I'm pleased.
Hopefully people will financially support DJ_Steve, and he'll keep the goodies coming.

ya Hopefully steve can at least give us the UI look cause it is for sure like or dislike but i really like the simple look of it and would love to at least see a ROM with Honeycomb look.
I also want one....

Honeycombs and Steak? Is this a tech forum or an online grocer?
I personally like the galaxy tab email app. I have it on my captivate right now, can't wait to see how it is on my streak when I get it next week

Were can I find this app? I want to try it since I'm not satisfied with any of the apps that are currently available.

The Streak 5 hasn't got the screen size to fully utilise the OS especially the all new browser with it's built in widgets.

Android 3.0 is going to be available for all android devices, it's just up to the manufacturer to accommodate the new UI and features to the screen size. I think the Streak would be a great candidate for some UI improvements, 2.2 doesn't do it justice, even with non-stock launchers.
+1 for me.
Love to see honeycomb on Dell Streak 5.^^

Steve just posted the email app from the Galaxy Tab for the Streak over at Modaco.
Can you post a link? I've searched but can't seem to find it.

+1 for HoneyComb Streak 5
Honeycomb would be amazing on the streak

i love the UI so much it looks cleaner then Regular Android, even the ones like Sense and Stage. Its just my opinion but i like how everything is professional with the black and greys
As long as any new firmware is snappy as 2.2, supports all the apps, I don't care what version it is.
+1
I'm just about to pull the trigger on purchasing a Dell Streak 5 and one of the major deciding factors is that it will be upgradeable to honeycomb.
... through dell or through xda... I don't care how I just want my device to be upgradeable.
Weatherbug takes forever to load and loop radar. Radar now works really good but on the streak its really small. So I'm looking for something like radar now that is full screen.

Here we go again in the north east with another big snow storm. Sure would be nice to check radar updates while out there plowing the highways with a better radar app. I found redsky weather but its very limited and loads a little slow. Still looking for something like radar now but big enough that I can actually see detail in full screen
Sent from my Dell Streak using Tapatalk
If your s ay ing that the app appears too small on your streak(the top left coner and doesn't extend the full length) it's because the applicagion was made for a different dpi. Changing your dpi will correct thos. Or you can messagw the developer to correct this as alot of apps don't utilize the fukl screen of our streak.

Thats exactly what im saying. I have emailed the developer but there has got to be some others like it out there. Its the best working radar app i have found, pertaining to load time and details it displays, its just the size needs to be fixed
I have the same issue with "Radar Now". It won't scale to the screen size.
Perhaps if everyone emailed the developer, he could update it.
I'm sure he has a small screen, and sized it accordingly.
weatherbug takes a bit to load if you turn off the auto update feature, but if you give it a minute to load, it is fine.

I have weather bug set to auto update every half hour and it still takes a while for it to load the animated radar.
I emailed the developed of radar now and he sent back a reply saying he doesn't have a test device.

Just found rainy days in the market. Awesome radar only app. Its looking good now, but will be able to judge it better when out in a storm plowing and checking radar on data rather than wifi

Looks very good but got flashing keys and rebooted my phone after 30 secs. Weird.
Anyone else notice slower performance with live wallpaper running? My friend has a g2x and his has no slow down. Sense doesn't scroll through home screens as smooth with live wall paper. I figured those days from laggy home screens on the og EVO were gone with the EVO 3d.
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA App
Your doing something wrong then. HAHA mine is smooth. If it's fine without the live wallpaper then get rid of it?
Although live wallpaper runs better on this device than anything Ive previously seen, there is still some minor lag. Some may not notice it, but its there.

The Live Wallpaper developers are obviously to blame as there are some Live Wallpapers that do a horrible job utilizing the APIs properly. Take for instance the Starfield Live Wallpaper. It has run like a dream on every single phone I've put it on including lower end phones, no matter how many stars I turn on. Then you have the Thunder Live Wallpaper which undoubtedly blows on pretty much everything. There are some intense Live Wallpapers that are done correctly and provide a great experience with no lag, and there are some less intense ones that really suck balls. It just depends on if they were made correctly.
I like the weather one that cane in the phone but I can't use it cause it causes major lag......

I don't know if im just tripping but does the X2 seem choppy when sliding between home screens? Im using Launcher pro i was comparing to an iphone and its a night and day difference when sliding between home-screens. I have a lot of icons in screen the background stays clean but the icons get choppy...it doesn't lag between slides just looks kinda crappy.

Yup that's moto for you.
I find the MOTO Droids to be very laggy. My Eris was as fast as the og Droid..

Motion blur? If that's the case, this screen is great for that! The qHD is great but the pentile display is guilty of being crap. I've gotten used to it..

lame....
I remember back in the day when moto was great my dad had the first gen moto car phone on the 80's where if you used it without the car on it would kill that battery, that thing would get reception anywhere we could be in the middle of the desert here in California 100's of mile from anywhere and we had full signal all the tims. It cost like 10K but it was awesome....I still have it in a box in my garage the provided was Bell South i think...good times

Iv'e had 4 different DX's and now this DX2 and it's my experience that a complete wipe/factory reset is needed every couple of months or these things start to lag. I'm due for a wipe/reset on theis DX2 currently just hate the PITA it is to do it.
Update;
woodrube has a great thread going with alot of great information on the apps. Check out his thread, link below

I would have too but I've had beautiful Widgets since the mytouch 3g

Not a big fan of beautiful widgets. But I did grab Reckless Racing HD for a dime. Theres the regular version and the HD and they arent labeled very welll. I had to go in description to see. The way for you to tell is to get the one that DOESN'T have the editor's choice label.
seems the 10 list changes daily, thats pretty awesome, some of these are pretty decent deals.
Anyone have anything good to throw out on airsync? is it only compatible if you use there doubletwist media player?
Just pucked up adw launcher
Sent from my T959 using xda premium
Just to let you know I have a thread going about these and am updating the OP with each day's list of apps. Some good deals but mostly seems like some heavy gaming apps with a few productive/utility types thrown in for good measure. there was one today that was 46mb download. That is massive.
