[q] x10 orientation - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys!
Does anyone know if there's an app or any other way to get the orientation to change CLOCKWISE? I know it's meant to go counterclockwise, but it would be awesome if the orientation could be turned clockwise as well.

[Q] default orientation auto?

I been reading people talking about the default orientation change, to that of the portrait view, but can this be set to sensor, so that whatever way you turn the phone, the lock screen changes to that orientation, whether it be landscape or portrait?
The stock lock screen does not change orientation even if the auto setting is on. There are several lock screen apps that have additional settings and features.
Nevermind, is there any lock screen apps where you can still use the pattern lock? Cause all the ones I tried you couldnt
I second the notion. I would love an app that allows me to lock the screen in the orientation it's currently in.
And the same app, or another app, doesnt matter to me which, has the lock screen come up in the orientation the phone is in.
Edit::: been tinkering with it this morning and now I can't get the darn thing into landscape mode at all..... any ideas
Yeah its strange how the lock screen is locked to a certain orientation. And I have no ideas how to change the orientation. Sorry mate. Another's thing that is strange is why doesn't the streak rotate 360 degree, never understood why it doesn't do upside down portrait.
Maybe the launcher has something to do with it because I have a live physics wallpaper that does follow the rotation 360 degrees.
Also I will mention that when I use ADW Launcher EX I can lock my orientation in whatever orientation it's in when I switch off auto rotate

Yeah I have my phone locked to landscape in adw, but only because the lock screen is locked to landscape, I would just like both to be changeable, with rotation of the phone.

[Q] HDMI Rotation

Hello all,
Does anyone know how to make landscape orientation work through HDMI? When I rotate the phone to landscape, the image on the screen rotates but uses the same screen real estate as the portrait on my tv, it is just at a 90 degree rotation.
I would love to actually use my phone to watch videos on the TV screen
Thanks
It's gotta be your tv or tv settings. Mine works flawlessly.

I just got the same problem, and it was fine before, I just recently switched build.prop files though, so it may be why

Rottation issue after flashing tablet!

Hi people, I bought a generic tablet. A Boxchip [email protected] 1.2Ghz, GPU Mali400,, 512Ram.. etc.
The thing is I flashed it with a compatible rom, but some configurations are wrong.
I got wrong button mapping, and aI solved it, but Not the strangest thing happens... it seems the configuration of rotation is allways a step behind.
What do I mean? Well.. having 4 possible positons (Portrait, Upside down portrait, Landscape and Upside down landscape),
When I put it n the poision of landscape, the screen rotates to upside down portrait. In upside down portrait to upside down landscape, in upside down landsacpe goes to portrait, and in portrait it goes to landscape. It's driving me nuts! haha I temporarily disabled rotation, but It's a nice thing to have enabled..
In conclusion, It seems the configuration somehow maps the position +90 degrees clockwise more than it should.
Where is it maped? can somebody help me? THanks.
Check your settings, there must Ann option to calibrate your sensor.
Once you can find that option, your problem is solved

Hi. Thanks for answering!
Mhm.. I've double checked settings.. there is none to calibrate that =/
I have had the exact same thing on a tablet I bought for my son, did you ever resolve it?

Is there a trick to use the gyroscope instead accelerometer to rotate the screen? Or, is there any "Hack" to improve rotating speed? iPad have a very nice rotation.

Mini Pro rotation problem

Hello guys, I have mini pro. Unfortunately sensor that located on the front is not working anymore. so my phone alwyas stayin as the ''rotate screen automatically'' enabled. İs there any solution to get home screen in portrait mode not landscape. thanks
Any help friends. Can I delete any file from system connected with rotation and end the problem!!!
hey there, do you happen to know exactly what sensor controls this? i'm still trying to figure this out. I'm sorry but I can't help you on this one
On mini pro there is no sensor control. Mybe I am wrong it not about sensor. Home screen and all apps are always shown in landscape mode , even screen rotation disabled in settings.
I have tried nearly all ics kernels, all the same. When installed kitkat rom 4.4.2 all is well screen rotation is backed to normal. I dont know whats wrong with ics!!
