Hello! Here's another one of my donations to the Slide community - it's AmonRA in an update.zip. There are a few bugs since this is just a quick port and I haven't tested functionality (I'll leave that up to you ).
Notes:
YOU MUST HAVE ROOT AND "ENG" RECOVERY INSTALLED. (Just like the Clockwork method).
Please make sure to use your OPTICAL pad to scroll through menu items - pressing the optical pad is the replacement for pressing Power (aka Enter).
DOWNLOAD: [removed - too broken]
Enjoy!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
Haha, I've wanted to run Amon_Ra's recovery since I found out it has a built in terminal. Thanks a bunch man.

it has a built-in console, and it uses the right a2sd directory...clockwork uses /sd-ext/, but we use /system/sd/...

ive found if you sit there and stare at it for about 30 seconds without doing anything, it freaks out! It shows the progress message from installing the update.zip to get into Amon-Ra from the stock recovery, then if i press optical pad it reboots...
any thoughts/confirmation?

Much appreciated! Big fan of this recovery.
FYI: Tried a Nand backup including my ext partition ... did not work. Perhaps something I did wrong, not sure.
neither did bart backup...
This recovery image is pretty much entirely broken. It needs a lot of work, but I'm hoping that AmonRA can work on it if I can manage to get his contact info.
Great job! I like it!

Do you plan to create an official version of your recovery for the Slide? I personally would be very interested in this . It was a lifesaver for my Dream. Keep up the good work!
When we have full root (S-OFF), we "might" have a Amon RA recovery. It's wishful thinking on my part, but I really hope so.

Err, I can, but what should I name it? It came from you a long time ago, albeit unofficially.
I don't think it should be renamed... just put a huge red disclaimer in the op with "Do not contact Amon Ra, this is an unsupported project. No support will be provided by the author or myself"

OK, It starts.
pjw111 asked me to do this, and everything needed was merged into the source tonight.
All credit for this goes to Cyanogen, and all of Team Douche.
This is in no way an official build, however it is built directly from CM source, which can be found on CM Github. I dont own a Slide, so I cant do any testing, but in limited testing pjw111 has reported that everything is working so far. As more gets updated in the source, I'll try and post updates for you guys.
Signed-Update-Zip:
http://www.multiupload.com/AW6SXTCY4C
gapps:
http://www.multiupload.com/GYSMO91ZPM
Directions:
Apparently, you can flash this through recovery 2.x on the slide without issue, so no need for S-Off and fastboot.
Just reboot into recovery as you normally would and flash the rom, followed by gapps.
Still with me? Good.
You'll need a full data wipe or it wont boot. Any future updates will be no wipe updates.
Reboot, and enjoy CM7 on your MyTouch Slide.
Reserved for possible use.
option94 rules in my book!!! Running like a charm.
CM7 is leaps and bounds ahead of CM6!
gona grab a copy of this and test it out
Downloading now... Is the attached recovery image clockwork 3? Does it format the nand ext? Is that why it's needed?
Bah! I want to try this out, but I haven't gotten S-OFF... yet...
Lazy D:
And I already have an idea of what CM7 looks like, having seen other previews, BUT maybe some screens? or Youtube?

Its clockwork 3. Its needed because cw2 wont flash 2.3 for some reason.
Also, If you started already, I forgot to mention that you'lll need to do a full wipe or your phone wont boot.

I dont have a Slide, so I dont have anyway to get you screens of it on the Slide. Its gonna look the same as on the other previews though, so you can look at those. If someone want to grab some screens and send them to me I'll add them to the OP.

I didn't even know there was another build. Not having this phone leaves me a little out of the loop.
No thanks...I'll wait until a non S-OFF version hits! Arayray's Revamped is doing me just fine!
Also, IM gonna call it a night. I'll look through tomorrow and see If i cant help out with any issues that you guys run into. I dont really see many occuring though, this rom is pretty damn stable apparently.
You may not need s-off, I just have to figure out how to get cw3 into an update zip thats compatible. Not having the phone makes that a little difficult for me. If someone can do that before me, please send me a PM and let me know.
I flashed this through cwm 2.x with no issues at all.

Used Koush's automated CWM builder. Need about 3 testers for a Touch and another 3 for a Non-Touch version. Please know that I or anyone will not be responsible if anything happens. As usual, do it at your own risk when you flash anything. Post here and say if you want to test the Touch or Non-Touch version. I'll PM you if I approve of you (which I don't know what I wouldn't!)

Doesn't work.
Installed via fastboot. I then rebooted back to android. I tried the reboot recovery menu command. It rebooted stayed on a black screen for a minute and then rebooted back to android.
I then tried going through the key commands to boot in to recovery and it just rebooted me to android. I also tried getting to it from the bootloader menu and it did the same.

Good morning guys,
Im not even sure where to start because im just getting into programming. I just tried to root my HTC rezound last night, so I followed the tutorial to the letter. Everything went very well by all accounts, except after unlocking bootloader, pda net, installed superuser, but yet when I try to verify that I have root access the phone does not recognise the root. Does anyone have any ideas why this could be? Ill be more than happy to post whatever information you might need in helping me figure this little problem out.
Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure about a stock Rom, but I did a custom recovery and haven't touched s-on or s-off yet. I did unlock the bootloader and pda net using the walkthrough found at the htcdev.com /bootloader site. I don't know if I just need to find another walkthrough to finish the rooting process or if I'm way off here. The phone itself still works as good as ever so at least I didn't brick it. I feel like I'm close or at least on the right track.

pull your battery and re insert it.
hold vol down button and power until you get the white bootloader screen
The top should say unlocked in pink
if you have a custom recovery it will also say tampered in pink
since you are new and not sure, to continue we need to verify this
what does it say?

I installed TWRP on my TrueSmart this morning via adb while booted to Android. Rename the file that you download to twrp.img and then do the following:
adb push twrp.img /sdcard/twrp.img
adb shell dd if=/sdcard/twrp.img of=/dev/recovery
Done.

Sorry, I have a fairly high standard of roms at this point.
Dont want to go too far off topic, but I've had some issues with bluetooth (pairs, doesn't stay connected, thus making the companion app useless), battery life, etc.
I may have to run tasker scripts to emulate some of the things I want it to do with notifications and turning the screen on. Finally, if I install a new launcher, it'd be wonderful if it didn't cover up the notifications bar.

One final question here: I have been using apps like goomanager to reboot into recovery, but how can you enter TWRP straight from turning the watch on.
Is there a key combo that needs to be held when turning the watch on to get right into TWRP? I tried holding down the bottom right key and that did not work.

This, but your battery pretty much has to be fully charged or else it will just flash the Omate logo on the screen for a couple seconds and then shut off.
I have a vzw max and i recently reverted everything back to stock and unrooted; or so i believed. The kernel still says 3.4.10 etc. and the phone has no signal nor can it find my location. It keeps rebooting every 30 secs or so and no matter what mode I put the device into, it isn't recognized by my PC. the bootloader is locked and I am S-Off. This all happened after I tried to flash CWM's HTC M7 recovery because the Max isn't listed and I couldn't figure out how to flash TWRP. Well the only problem is my any pc won't even detect that it's connected when I plug it into it. So I can't use any fastboot or adb methods and even when I put the phone into fastboot mode it doesn't connect either. I'm able to put it into bootloader mode and it doesn't reset but still no connection; just charges. I've tried flashing through stock recovery manually and it aborts every attempt I'm assuming because my BL is locked..

I wasn't trying to hide anything. I typically will walk a user through using the encrypted RUU (my person preference as i know it's intact) to restore their phone as long as it can boot to bootloader. I take it offline because the mods didn't take kindly to the encrypted RUU being posted in the past. I don't have an answer as to why that was case so I just keep that part off the main threads. If its someone in need (like the OP) i have no problem helping one on one.

I was unaware that they didn't want the RUU's on here which really sucks because they are nice to have like I had them for the rezound and it came in real handy at times. Not having them for this device yet has been one of the reasons I have been hesitant to do much else than to S-OFF and root. At this point I guess I am waiting for the OTA Kit Kat update then I will probably dive in.
