preview thumbnails not updating on CORE CELL Rom - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi I was wondering I flashed the CORE CELL EVO V3 ROM and for some reason my internet thumbs just show like a circular image. Anyone have an idea on this or how i can make my own or why they are not automatically updating? I found this GET NICE THUMBNAILS, but there are no images stored there so I could not even begin to guess what the file name should be. Thanks guys

[FIXED] Yay
Ok after hours of searching both online and in my phone, I have found the solution. I have to change the default browser to be IE and then open the shortcuts and it will capture the image. I guess HTC skipped that when they made Opera the default browser, or maybe its a custom rom issue? Oh well

[Q] Poor Web browsing Image Quality

Hi, I just got my HTC HD2 which is uptodate, yesterday (lovin it by the way). Soon as I switched it on I noticed a few issues.
The images of the program icons beneath the home page was poor quality. I assumed that it was bcoz the icons were quite big so it must have been to over the icon resolution limit or something. Anyways that was fixed by flashing a new rom or installing a new theme.
However the main problem now is when Im surfing the web (I.E and Opera) (using WIFI), The fonts came out crisp and clear but the Images were very poor even when i went to the settings to increase the cache, the images of the tick boxes were poor as well.
I've done everthing I could possibly think of like flashing new rom, old radio, BsB tweaks. I've installed andriod and its seems to fix this problem but does add a slight blur to the images.
I cheacked all 40 pages of the Q&A Forum and havnt found a similar problem. So if you have any suggestions at all Please help. Thanks

[Q] Where to get background image from Woot version?

I have one of the WOOT tablets. I had problems with the apps which needed log in information loaded before accessing the internet so I used the factory reset. This seems to help with that problem but the background now has a beach. I tied the ClockworkMod back up restore found in another thread but I couldn't get it to load on mine. I looked at the properties and it shows that this is still the same "version" that I had originally (3588). It seems to be working now but I was wondering if anyone knows how to get the water and leaves background image back? I can reload all of the apps.

If you are talking about the Live Wallpaper (which i think you are), if you long press on the home screen, choose wallpaper, then Live Wallpaper, it should be in there.
My favorite is the Blades of Grass live wallpaper, but the Autumn Leaves are nice also.
Thank you. I didn't think it was stock.
+1
Thought this one had been overwritten with the OTA update. Thanks!
Here's another question along similar lines-
is there a way to get these stock live wallpapers, AFTER one has flashed a new ROM such as VegaN?
I like some of the ones from VegaN, but that pond effect was kind of cool, it would be nice to put that one back.
Thanks.

[Q] Facebook Photo Album in Manila does not work (new issue)

This is something new. Facebook Photo Album in Manila stopped working after Facebook upgraded their photo handling system (noticed the new white background instead of a black one on the Facebook web site). Anyways, since the upgrade photos are not loading at all. I got stock T-Mobile ROM, didn't have the need to fix the old problem with Facebook Albums, that ppl been writing about, either. Does anybody have an idea how to fix this problem, or maybe there's an official fix, like they had for Twitter few months back?
Hi! I am experiencing this problem too!
I checked for fixes on the support site but I even anything more than a kind of FAQ and links to download manuals.
Is there still a place for hot fixes and full ROM downloads?
If there still, I really don't know where!....
Finally found the solution while browsing again the forum.
Have a look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=690751
It has to do with the FB settings.
I changed my settings and the pictures are now updating like they used to be.
Hurray! Problem solved.

Craptastic gallery app, need replacement?

The stock gallery app is.... garbage IMO. Its constantly reordering my images to some arbitary order instead of by name (very annoying because i have pages of documents scanned and named by page number), just overall it feels rather clumsy, it doesnt animate gif files, no respect for .nomedia, etc.
Yeah, technically this is a question but here goes: What gallery applications do you use? If you could rip the gallery app from any device which would you choose and why?
Personally, im thinking of trying to rip the gallery app from the S2 or the galaxy tab, i know the S2 works well with gif files and thus far has not given me the amount of pain the Asus one has.
what do you think?
only thing I hate is that it won't allow you to rename files in there. so i use Asus file manager to rename. for the pictures or whatever you don't want shown, Quick pic works perfectly to hide whatever you don't want shown. I noticed GIF. don't animate in there also. they do in quickpic. but that's not a big deal for me. Other than that, I actually like the gallery app. its way better than my Ipad stock gallery app. I haven't came across another gallery only app. I'd be up for trying one. as long as its one that doesn't need to make duplicate copies to fill up its own gallery.

I use quickpic, I've always used quickpic so I'm not sure whichother I'd use
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA Premium HD app
+1 on quickpic, you can do so much with it.
put folders the way you like them, move pics around easy and it makes any pic you look at nice and big.
i will never use anything else and ive tried a few.
I also use QuickPic. It is the best gallery app on Android, hands down. Not only is it super fast and responsive, but it is rock solid and has tons of file management and editing options that don't exist inside of the stock Gallery app.
https://play.google.com/store/search?q=quickpic&c=apps
+1 on quickpic - however has anyone used the gallery app on MIUI 4??
I used it on my old desire hd, it was pretty nice!
Gave quickpix a try, it does everything i need. Thanks for the suggestions everyone!

[REQUEST] Modified Photowall.apk from Galaxy SIII to enable gallery photos to be used

Hi there, I was wondering if someone would generously modify, or port if you will, the Photowall.apk (provided from: here ) that the Samsung Galaxy SIII uses for it's mesmerizing and amazing live wallpaper to enable the live wallpaper to use photos from the gallery.
As of right now the only way I've found out to use your own or custom photos is to manually select photos, rename them to the same names that are used by the default live wallpaper photos, and recompile the Photowall.apk with the new photos. There are but three problems with this method.
The first problem is that you have to create a new rom to flash the .apk to system/app/ as it cannot be installed by just simply executing the .apk from a file manager, the unmodified Photowall.apk can however.
The second problem is that the live wallpaper can not use more than 8 photos, and will only have 8 photos to choose from. This gets kinda annoying to see two of the same photos being used.
The last problem, as stated before, is the fact that you cannot use the option of using photos from gallery in the settings of the live wallpaper.
I should have previously mentioned that the rom I am using for my Atrix is unofficial CM9 beta 7.1 by Jokersax (an amazing rom by the way), and the live wallpaper works perfectly except the problems stated before (the transitioning to other photos has no problems, or the randomizing tile space for the photos have no problem as well) and a little lag when waking the device.
Thanks for taking the time to read this post, and Thanks in advance if you help me out.
