Hi, I just got my HTC HD2 which is uptodate, yesterday (lovin it by the way). Soon as I switched it on I noticed a few issues.
The images of the program icons beneath the home page was poor quality. I assumed that it was bcoz the icons were quite big so it must have been to over the icon resolution limit or something. Anyways that was fixed by flashing a new rom or installing a new theme.
However the main problem now is when Im surfing the web (I.E and Opera) (using WIFI), The fonts came out crisp and clear but the Images were very poor even when i went to the settings to increase the cache, the images of the tick boxes were poor as well.
I've done everthing I could possibly think of like flashing new rom, old radio, BsB tweaks. I've installed andriod and its seems to fix this problem but does add a slight blur to the images.
I cheacked all 40 pages of the Q&A Forum and havnt found a similar problem. So if you have any suggestions at all Please help. Thanks

Hi I was wondering I flashed the CORE CELL EVO V3 ROM and for some reason my internet thumbs just show like a circular image. Anyone have an idea on this or how i can make my own or why they are not automatically updating? I found this GET NICE THUMBNAILS, but there are no images stored there so I could not even begin to guess what the file name should be. Thanks guys
[FIXED] Yay
Ok after hours of searching both online and in my phone, I have found the solution. I have to change the default browser to be IE and then open the shortcuts and it will capture the image. I guess HTC skipped that when they made Opera the default browser, or maybe its a custom rom issue? Oh well
I just upgraded from 2.9 to 3.5, and I've noticed all the other language support other than Alphabets are gone. Japanese, Korean, and Chinese letters show up as squares.
Is there way I can fix this? Like, by extracting a file to flash over or something?

Hmmmm, now that you mentioned it - I checked mine and sure enough, the Asian fonts are no longer displaying on mine running the smooth as silk (otherwise) GSB V3.5 - browser, music player, and map apps.
I checked under browser Settings/Text encoding and also Android keyboard settings, among other places - and not showing up properly.
I switched SD card & NAND restore to a different GB ROM (CM7-V9 recently released by CS) and everything is working on it, although I preferred Shed's ROM overall - so I'm puzzled & looking for a fix/reset ??
I do use the Eris's Google Translate for a quick thing or two while on the job - this isn't cool as terms are just showing up as boxes on screen now ....
If others are coming across this, perhaps we ought to post & link it back to GSB thread to see if Shed can look into this for a resolution ....

FIXED IT!
DroidSansFallback.ttf file was missing in the files. I'm assuming it was an attempt to reduce the rom size.
Here is the steps I took to get the Asian fonts working again.
1. From previous releases of GSB, I looked into system/fonts folder and extracted DroidSansFallback.ttf.
2. I moved the DroidSansFallback.ttf file into my SD card.
3. Using Root Explorer, I copied the DroidSansFallback.ttf file and pasted into system/fonts folder of my Eris.
4. Reboot.
It was a lot logical than I expected to be. I guess I didn't have to bother workshed with PM (although he never replied...)
Use a file explorer that allows you to look at the System folder.
Sounds good to me, I'm running CS's CM7-V9 GB and getting just as good battery life vs. Shed's GSB, and Camera has 9x zoom vs. 2x - GPS, wifi, SMS/MMS and other apps are working perfect - about as smooth as it can be - so I'm going to stick with CM7 for a while longer. Besides, ADW isn't a bad choice for me either as I can lock the desktop especially when I hand it off to show others on what this "litte" rooted Eris can do with GingerBread OS loaded.
Shed will probably release a newer update soon - given his track records on things - so when I switch back next time, I will retrieve it from my NAND-saved V3.3 or V3.4 versions sould the patch be needed.
Thanks for sharing your "find"
Info-Update:
Arrrrh, I tried it - moved to SD, restore by copy/move back to /system/fonts folder with root, reboot & even reflashed the V3.5 ROM - not working on my device. Getting the "boxes" again in Translate, Maps & even in Browser - ??? Wondering if I missed something else?
Going to roll back to V3.4 since Shed indicated a newer release will be out shortly (or, going to switch again to CS's CM7-V9 by doing a NAND restore - poor Eris, getting flashes over & over again ....)
P.S. I've posted a link to this thread in the Deveoper's subforum for Shed since he's doing a ROM update soon, perhaps he will look into this & fix it.
Maybe you shoudlnt have reflashed 3.5 over. Just flash the font and walk away. Give it a try that way
due to popular demand
so i installed it
and i keep resarting
there is lag from time to time. even honeycomb was faster.
is there a reason why? i did install supplement.
is it possible for ANYONE to make a single install then 2?
also is there a reason why my wifi signal is so low now. Or is it just how the new icon displays it.
first time it restarted was when i was downloading stuff from market.
then when i was playing videos on rock player
and then it completely froze when i was skipping around in a 1080 trailer
btw how come my wallpaers are scaled and cropped in launcher pro and not default launcher. i dont want to use default vega launmcher. just a personal choice. I shall contact launcherpro and see but figured if anyone knew
so i tired putting a different kernal on.
Wifi signal was improved but now drops more frequently.
also was looking into making 1 update for others.
if i just merged both zips. within 7zip would that break sign or would i need to re-sign it?
for 1080. the high profile issue answer that i was given seems to be right. but it still plays. only when i skip around in the vid does it freeze or force close
the lag has gotten better since install rom but seems much slower the non overclocked roms. dont know why.
i have tried wiping data and cache. same results.
well this rom was poorly made. Decided to switch.
I just wonder, if so many people can post hateful comments why they dont put their time to good use. oh well.
This is something new. Facebook Photo Album in Manila stopped working after Facebook upgraded their photo handling system (noticed the new white background instead of a black one on the Facebook web site). Anyways, since the upgrade photos are not loading at all. I got stock T-Mobile ROM, didn't have the need to fix the old problem with Facebook Albums, that ppl been writing about, either. Does anybody have an idea how to fix this problem, or maybe there's an official fix, like they had for Twitter few months back?
Hi! I am experiencing this problem too!
I checked for fixes on the support site but I even anything more than a kind of FAQ and links to download manuals.
Is there still a place for hot fixes and full ROM downloads?
If there still, I really don't know where!....
Finally found the solution while browsing again the forum.
Have a look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=690751
It has to do with the FB settings.
I changed my settings and the pictures are now updating like they used to be.
Hurray! Problem solved.
Hey, new member here.
I recently aquired a HTC Aria, this is my first Android phone and It's great, only issue I found is with the camera, when I try to take pictures, the screen appears with a lot of noise color (pink areas), as per the pictures, is this related to the set up or is it a camera malfunction? The pictures taken have the same effect.
The pictures were taken a month ago- righ now the screen looks completely pink!
I'm using HTC Aria/ Android version 2.3.7/ Cyanogenmod-7.1.0.
I noticed this malfunction after downloading the Camera 360 app, tried to use it and suddenly this issue appeared.
Any support is appreciated.
Regards and thanks.
First I'd just try clearing application data for the "Camera" app to see if that makes any difference. If not, I'm not sure what else to try except doing a 100% clean install to see if the problem is with your current installation or actually a hardware issue. (Make a backup first so you can revert.)
