I want to switch from one rom to the other on my android HD2 but i want to be able to save all my downloads and settings etc.
Is it possible ?
and if so how do i do that?

theres a thread above you with exactly that....
search is your friend. if you cant find it with search, try google. google is your friend, if you cant find it with google. then you have no friends.
use titanium backup from the market.
(donate version makes it easier to restore)

i cant seem to find a simple reply to this question. why do the google apps need to be flashed? why cant their apk's just be installed individually? i know there is a good reason, but i was wanting a quick explanation if someone cares to give it.
custom roms dont come with market preloaded (at least mine didnt have it). flashing gapps gives you it
this is my guess. i can be wrong for all i know

Somewhere I saw something about licensing issues if they were included in custom ROM's that were not licensed by an appropriate entity.
I meant, why do they need to be flashed at all? Why can't they just be installed like other apk's?

How do I change the bootanimation on my ace? I've downloaded a whole bunch from around the forums now I don't know how to change mine. I saw a post about just drag and drop to data/local but I can't find that folder. Does that mean I can make it?
I hope its not as complex as I've seen around. (Mounting through adb and putting in a whole bunch of codes)
i will advice you to atleast search GOOGLE for something rather than asking all the questions in way different threads.... you can search little and get answers

Funny thing is I DID search which is why I'm asking here. Did you not read what I posted? Or you just read the question at the beginning?
i read whole thing.. but there are to many users here and all users starts asking same questions all over again.... thats why i was just advising you to search forum..
if it doesn't help try out ultimate google as you can always find answers yourself..

Can anyone here give me an Internet brewer of Samsung tablet rom that is installable on Prime? Please modify it to work on the Prime. I already tried to extract the file from the Rom.zip and install on the Prime but no luck.

You need to learn to use the search button friend.

You may be unfamiliar with samsung, they use modified frameworks, most of their apps including the browser are integrated into touchwiz. You can't simply copy the application and paste it into the prime, it just wont function properly.
There is a thread about this already, i know because i posted it. Try searching for it and you might get more information.

My custom ROM didn't come with Google Talk. I don't want another IM client that can have Google talk on it i want the real thing. I have tried loading talk in system/app but it didn't load. Another time i tried again it came in the app drawer but when i opened it it crashed. I am running salty bean ROM and devil kernel. does this kernel support it or not? I did set the permissions correctly and still no luck. any one know the answer to thus question? any help appreciated,
