PRoblem with Audio Manager
I have installed but run partial because i dont see the bottom bar and i have an error "Load RC fail"
Help me...
Thanks
Is it just me or doesn't this program sort the music on the albums correctly. Seems like it just does alphabetical and not by real album track order as WMP does.
I'd use it all the time if it weren't for that. Is there a way around that? I don't see anyway to set it up sorting wise.
Woo got this running on my samsung blackjack aka i600. Its the one thing i missed from my SPV E650. Changed to the blackjack because the screen kept breaking on the SPV gutted as it was an awesome lil phone.

Yep, I confirm, and it is a reason for me to use WMP.
Is everyones' font on main streen of HTC audio manager (artist, title etc...) so small? I run it on QVGA screen and it is really tiny - like 8 px :/
Any solutions please?
Anyone figure out a registry entry or something to adjust the font on the Audio Manager? I need it like 12 or 14 point... anyone?

I've been using TCPMP, a very neat player with lots of plugins for both audio and video playback, works wonderfully, has many options (I mean many!), even a benchmark , in a few words I love it!
You should give it a try, and with the plug ins you can get flv playback, mp4 playback and whoever knows what may come out soon
Used in combination with Pocket DivX encoder works like a charm with my lobby, the only weak point is when you try to play WMV files intended for PC, the WMP has a bit more power, but who said one program eliminates the other
Is there an updated version of the Audio Manager?
There's some bugs in version 1.0, such as sorting by trackname vs track #
HE-AAC playback doesn't seem to work properly, SBR is not decoded, sounds dull
I've contacted HTC but they weren't be able to help much, gotten no responce after sending them a sample file...
Most recent version i've seen on the forums version 1.02 build 1017.717 should have the fix to sort by track #

I heard you can use the Audio Manager to make ringtones is there already a thread on here for it.. just wondering if anyone knows how to make ringtones with it
just select Set as ringtone in Menu and then select Trim. This is where you can crop the song and save it as the ringtone

I just recently changed my ATT tilt with the windows 6.0 version to the 6.1 version. I want to download the HTC Audio Manager so I can manage my ring-tones. However, I downloaded the link that was provided by rickwyatt and run it to my laptop but could not find the setup to install it on my laptop to transfer it to my phone. I tried also to copy the audio-zip link and paste it to my storage card while my phone was syncing but it didn't work. Can some one tell me how to or get the HTC manager so I can transfer it to my phone and what are the protocols. Thanks,

Hi BPaul,
I couldn't agree with you more. The only thing that a graphic equalizer has ever done for me is get more volume out of my DoubleTwist Application. However, neither my Tablet nor my Cell phone is a viable replacement for my MP3 player (RockboxedSandisk Sansa Fuze) or my desktop or laptop for watching movies so loud is not a requirement. For those of you who might not know how to disable it. Just install Root Explorer, Click on the menu in the upper right and search for "dspmanager". Rename the .apk .apk.pointless or something and then restart your device.
Cheers,
Christian

Agreed.. I want the old AllShare back! I tried pushing the apk, but it only starts then FCs. :crying:
Here's a couple of the bad things I've noticed:
The new one is not backwords compatible with the PC version of the Allshare app, therefore installing another web based app
Any video I stream from the phone has to buffer every 10 seconds, unlike the old one, same video, is silky smooth with no hicups
I can't browse by folders!!!!!!!!!! I have scroll through hundreds of videos!!!!!!!!
How would Twonky compare for DLNA streaming?

I pulled the Dlna.apk (allshare) from my sgs2 and it seems to work fine. Only problem is its hard to see some of the fonts for some reason. Still usable though and am attaching it here in case anyone wants to try. Just copy it to system apps. No force closes for me and yeah you need to be rooted. I felt the same about new allshare so I use the old version
Oh and the other issue is your media server will see your device as i9100 since its from that device

Also, I just realized the other day that you can go into More Settings -> Nearby devices -> File Sharing. You can also share that way. However, playing with it I am not able to stream MKV container videos to my TV. Whereas with the Allshare App I attached above works no problem. You can stream MKVs without issue. The only issue is that allshare is hard to see because of the white theme and the thumbnails look a little pixelated. Its works fine though
Yeah, I miss original Allshare too. I can't seem to find my Onkyo Receiver to ouput to.
Hello,
Please help me to find the music player I'm looking for. My requirements:
- A clean playlist (no artists, no genres, no album arts, no ratings, no lyrics, JUST FILENAME)
- An equalizer
- To be controlled by the handsfree button (play/pause and next track by double-click. More clicks - highly appreciated)
The closest to this idea of mine, which I was able to find, is tiny player. I liked it a LOT, but it doesn't have any equalizer...
And I have tried so many other players and they are TERRIBLE, especially starting with winamp, which I like so much for
PC!!! The Android's version is absolutely not acceptable for me!

Hello and thank you!
I gave it a try today and it doesn't work at all :-/ It didn't show me even a single folder !!!
I see the message select a folder or whatever on the top and everything below is black!!
I'm gonna send an e-mail to the developers to report this bug.
Trying to download this, I found another player - EZ folder player free. It works very
nicely with my headset button, but it doesn't show the playlist and doesn't have an
equalizer...
Actually it makes me VERY SAD and VERY DESPERATE - WHY all the music players
need to have a huge icon showing NOTHING in the center and wasting the whole screen ?!?!?!?!
WHY there can't be a program, showing the playlist, as Winamp on a PC and 3 buttons
for play/pause, next and previous song? IS IT SO COMPLICATED ?!?!? And an
equalizer, of course!! Come on, guys, this is Winamp from 1993 !!! And in 2012, this
doesn't exist anymore !!!
My device is Samsung Galaxy S2 with ICS (4.0.3).
OK, regarding Music Folder Player - I can not see folders only with the paid version of this app.
I have also tried to install the free version and it works. I have also installed Music Volume EQ:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=hr.podlanica&feature=search_result
This is a MUST have app!! It has an extremely nice bass boost function and now listening to
music is a really nice experience on my SGS2.
So, back to Music Folder Player - this is the player, which I will be using for now. It is by far
not perfect, but it seems to be quite working. Major disadvantages:
- it plays folders only at one level - if you have a folder that contains mp3 files and subfolders
with more mp3 files, it will play only the lower level folder. If you select some of the subfolders,
it will play only the subfolders, but never the parent folder. REALLY annoying, but not fatal
- It writes media information files to EVERY directory with music
- The equalizer does not change almost anything and it is practically useless. But this can be
solved via Music Volume EQ, so it is a really minor problem.
But it is a very customizable player and I like it a lot! Nevertheless, I am more and more
convinced, that the perfect mp3 player for Android does not exist yet
Although, there a some players in the style I like - Music folder player, EZ music folder
player, tiny player, etc... There must be also more of them. Please suggest some...
Come on, guys!! No other cool apps? I can't believe it...
I am using kamma's folder player. It supports rom's native equalizer app. UI can improve a little but pretty much suffices what I need.
Best Music Player
hi,
Try this one i am sure you would not search for anything else.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.omichsoft.player
It supports Playlists, folders, genres, artists, albums and songs list.
Supports device internal equalizer.
shows itself on the Lockscreen.
and all this for an installation size of around 350 kb.
difficult to justify some (most) paid music players against this one.

ViPER4Android is just amazing experience for music lovers and greatly improves performance of our DAC. Original thread in Development and Hacking / Android Software Development received more than three million views and OP @zhuhang did amazing presentation in first couple posts. V4A developer is @viper520.

You got to be rooted and have SuperSU and BusyBox on your G2. It's reported that SuperSU plays nicely with ViPER4Android and Superuser could have some difficulties.
App will install drivers for you and make sdcard/ViPER4Android/Kernel folders in your main storage. Follow instructions from the app. Basically, just pick desired audio quality / battery consumption. Reboot. If ViPER4Android folders are not automatically created, see EDIT at the bottom of this post.
In sub-folder named Kernel extract IRS files from attachment (at the bottom of this post) or downloaded Starter Pack from OT. Reboot again. In order to see Convolver / Impulse Response (IRS) files, go to UI Setting and choose Expert option.
I removed some IRS files from original starter pack and cherry picked some more free IRS files from other packs.

I StumbleUpon it. LOL. Yes, you can change settings on the fly. So much to explore and experiment. Don't be afraid to change some settings but be careful with volume control. Start with 40% and don't go over 50% in first couple of hours because some combination of settings will give you volume boost up to 8dB. Maybe even 10dB boost. I set speaker settings with 8dB boost so watching YouTube videos with 30% volume feels weird at first. Still exploring. Probably it will take days before I become familiar with every option.

Which music app you're using? Try Play Music at first. Switch between Normal and Compatible mode. Reboot.

I'm glad that it worked for you. I never used stock music player. We have now first confirmation that bluetooth enchantment really works!

I installed this jewel app on G2 last night and I'm still in awe. ViPER4Android is just amazing experience for music lovers and greatly improves performance of our DAC. Original thread in Development and Hacking received more than milion views and OP did amazing presentation in first couple posts.

You got to be rooted and have SuperSU and BusyBox on your G2. It's reported that SuperSU plays nicely with ViPER4Android and Superuser could have some difficulties. You can install app(s) in couple ways and I chose easiest for me. Play Store.

Don't be afraid to install because description is in Chinese. If you want translation you could use desktop Chrome browser to translate into English. After installation everything is in English.
App will install drivers for you (G2 use CortexA8 with NEON) and make 2 folders in your SD card. Follow instructions from the app. Basically, just reboot. In sub-folder named Kernel extract IRS files from attachment or downloaded Starter Pack from OT. Reboot again. I removed some IRS files from original starter pack and cherry picked some more free IRS files from other packs.
Play Music and Shuttle+ works with default Normal setting. If you have problems with some other music apps try switching to back and forth with Compatible mode. Much more detailed instructions and explanations you could find in original thread.

I believe that's it. Enjoy!
P. S. I can't attach right now because I'm using Tapatalk 4. I have option to attach a picture, not a file. I'll try later with something else. Use Starter Pack and(or) other packs. You'll find links in original thread.
EDIT; I attached zip file.
EDIT 2;
"In the FX app, make sure convolver is ticked. Then press impulse response and it will tell you the folder is empty. It JUST created the folder you are missing. Go back to your file manager and copy the files there." thanks bri315317

Thanks for the heads up on this Viper app. I will definitely try it out when I get my G2.
I am just curious if you ever did the "Increase Speaker Volume" fix in the thread below on top of installing ViperAndroid. I wonder if the combination of both the fixes will make the G2 speaker even better.
