I have a HTC Touch Diamond.
And it starts to become boring with this phone.
Now I wondered a great update for this device as an update to have a higher rank (WM 6.5) or whatever.
And if so how do you do that, am a noob in this ..

Who is going to port Android to the HTC Touch Pro? Link
HTC may be using Android as soon as next year. Link
i'd love to see this but i'm not holding my breath..
um here http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=RaphaelLinux&action=BackLinks
This is quite cool..
I hope Android gets as good as it looks on HTC Touch..
Can we deploy it on HTC Touch Pro?
I tried it yesterday and it did boot into the Android 0.8.
Although there were issues in the OS, thanks to the onscreen keyboard.
In either case, I needed to do a Hard reset so I just felt the need to test the progress. It looks promissing but still not near to what you can see in the HTC Touch video.
Am a big fan of the B7610...having used most of HTC slide out keyboard phones (Tytn, Tytn II, Touch pro, Touch Pro 2) and also the Xperia X1, I genuinely feel that the B7610 is far above all of these in terms of the hardware specs, build quality, stability, speed, screen resolution and camera.
But the only 2 things I have missed in it are:
1. XDA forum support; and
2. HTC Sense customized ROM.
Now that one has been fulfilled, I wish the second also be fulfilled by someone....anyone...please....
I am willing to offer a bounty/reward also for whoever can cook one of those.
B7610 with Sense
Can I get the reward?

Never realized you cooked the Rom fire_z
I know that it's passed lot of time since the last reply to this post but...i'm also a fan of b7610 and i have created this community, maybe it could be interesting for you...see here
Has anyone considered developing Android on the Advantage. I have seen it for other WM devices.

Forget it, all devs moved to newer devices, not even WM gets updated anymore...
Damm - Maybe a developer will see this post and maybe...................
I also hope someday there will be new (Win or Droid) build.
I have two X7500 and both last Michy or ABG does not really support my needs.
Slow and not all (good) apps.
Half year ago I bought a Touch Pro 2 but that forum is almost dead too.
When will HTC come with a new, complete, fast, 5 inch or larger screen again? :->
Hey guys, i been recently offer a deal on craiglist about trading my htc hd2 for the htc g2.
I was wondering if this is a great deal.
I hate WM, and i am currently running android on my htc hd2. The problem is that its taking too much battery to run it. I like the idea of having a keyboard, yet swype seems a better choice to type in. The screen is much larger on the htc hd2, but hey i don't really need that big of a screen.
Help can't decide.
What are your cons and pros about this?
Thank you
I would stick to the HD2.
- The battery life is depending on which Andriod build you use. My battery last for about 30 hours without recharging.
- NAND install for Andriod is coming really close
- WM aint that bad. The Sence build of HTC makes it all good. Specially when you use a nice and shiny ROM of Miri and Dinik which will be updates with CHT2.0 soon and new skins.
- Swype comes with WM and Andriod, I trully like the touch screen more then a solid keyboard.
- There isnt a phone with better/ much better hardware specs then the HD2
- There isnt a phone with more capabilities then the HD2 (7 OS ports (wm6.x.x, WP7, Meego, Andriod, unbuntu, Win95, Win98, etc), fully changable ROMS, no fabrication limitations)
My conclusion is that there isnt a better phone then the HD2 at the moment. Maybe next year there will be some new phones which will be better. I'm curious about the dual screen mobiles which supports 3D. But how it will work and what the experience of those will be .. i have no clue

hd2 is the best phone of the year 2009 , best phone of 2010, THE BEST !! ))) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=860549
In chinese , we call it trade a watermelon for a gingili.
anyway , goodluck!
HD2 is by far the most versitile phone...
why trade it???
anybody dosen't like this
any body dosen't works on it?
any rom?
I'm searching and asking for the same since november last year and nothing.obviously no one can't do it or is not ineterested.I don't know man. This what you are asking for is avaliable for HD2 but for topaz no.i can't asnwer you why,but CPU is not the problem like everybody are saying.Maybe i'm wrong but i've seen very old devices to run wm 6.5 with no problem and i think wp7 will work on topaz, maybe without xbox live ,but everyting else have to work. It's not looking so full with animations,3d graphics or something like that, even it's more simple than HTC Sence - for me.I hope one day someone to port HD2 rom to topaz or something like that, but for now it's just a hope.sorry but how we say in our coutry - е те такова животно нема!(There's no such animal!)
answering the first post, there's a WP7 theme pack for SPB Mobile shell 3.5, look into that thread.
There have been attempts to port win 7 over to topaz. The threads have already been removed or are so far back you just have not seen them. The result is the same every time. The interface is too sluggish to do anything with. Yes Win mo 7 needs a 1 ghz processor to work effectivley and this is not for the Xbox crap but for the phone operating system and interface. The topaz 533mhz processor cannot run Winmo 7 and thats just the sad fact you have to live with. So just deal with it or by a phone that is made for and is running Winmo 7.
i think what the first post was asking is there any wm 6.5 rom that is themed to look like wp7 as much as possible... they made a rom like that for hd2 awhile back... just 6.5 skinned like wp7
is there a wp7 theme for htc sense?
