hey guys, i really need a replacement lcd screen for my pure. will this one fit in the pure? i know that some of the lcds only fit in the td2.

it said that (NO TOUCH SCREEN) means no touch function?
i just assumed that it meant it doesnt come with the digitizer
Yes, no touchscreen does means no digitizer. And as far as I know, if it works for Daimond2 then it works for Pure.

Hello,
yesterday I installed some new games on my p4350 and let a friend play with it,
unfortunally he pushed to hard with the stylus and the screen got damaged . the screen is still working but it got a dent.
now I wanna replace the screen myself, anybody can give me instructions how to do this?
Also i wanna know if the soft layer on the top(not the screen protector) and the lcd, is one thing.
http://mikechannon.net/PDF Manuals/HTC Herald Sevice Manual.pdf
download and read that ,it will show you how to disassemble the herald and take the screen out
Replacing digitiser on Herald as opposed to Hermes
Scuse me for butting in but I have both just bought a Herald with a broken screen AND have done a few screen replacements on Wizards, Blue Angels and Hermeses.
On this Herald I had just assumed that you could basically follow the video on YouTube which shows how to replace a screen on a Hermes? I see that the PDF file is quite complicated and is designed to show you how to take off every tiny part if it has failed. The screen replacement is far easier that this, right?
Secondly, I see that you can buy the screen separately from the 'protector' which is I assume the bit with the hole in on your unit? I have to say, I had never seen these replaced separately before: Is this something special to the Herald or can you replace this digitizer separately from the screen on other units as well? If so, how on earth do you get it off the screen please? And is there a reliable way of getting one back on? (There is no reference to this in the pdf manual but the digitizers are suddenly being sold on ebay for about five bucks)
So the question is whether this is still as difficult on the Herald as threads on the Hermes suggest?
I've opened my Herald, and to reach the screen you have to disassemble the whole thing.
It's not that difficult (albeit while following the service manual, since there are a lot of tricky areas like removing the Keyboard), you just need to have patience and not rush it.
Any way to set up device after flash with no touch screen.
The digitizer or screen is not functioning, before i take it all apart as shown anybody no of a way to bypass the touchscreen setup.
before trying to change the digitizer...
(and i know this is crazy but worked for me after replacing the cable going from the screen to the board)
install a screen protector and try again!
I had the same problem after opening my Herald, and right now the screen only works if i have a screen protector on. If not then nothing happens
digitizer replacement is actually very easy.

As I have now posted on a different thread, the digitizer replacement is actually very easy. You just slip a razor blade under the tabs and lever it off after removing that yellow tape on the back.

I agree. It was not difficult at all. I took apart and put together the phone a few times after just to develop a feel for it.
We have a tendency to get nervous about it but if you relax it becomes easier.
I have a a extra digitizer that I never used. If anyone wants it, pm me.
Hello everyone,
this is my sad story and I would like you to help myself out of this pervading sadness....:crying:
I don't know how it happened, but the screen of my archos 101 g9 cracked: the touchscreen still works, the glass has no damage, but underneath the glass there is a wide crack from side to side, with a huge stain (lcd liquid?) coming out from the cracks.
what is to be replaced?
i found this one, is that what I need? http://www.ebay.it/itm/251174616903...X:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_1598wt_1167
thank you very much
Giuseppe
I think you need a new screen. But mostly possible you will not be able to replace it if you're not skilled at repairing small things.
Touch screen digitizer is not what you need if your touchscreen works normally.

thanks, I know someone who can halp me.
where I can buy it online? I looked for it, but each time I find something I can't say if I'm going to buy a screen, touchscreen, digitizer or somethingelse... I can't identify what is what I'm looking at
Hi,
A friend of mine currently replaced her I9300 screen after she cracked it. But I noticed that the phone screen isn't Super Amoled anymore
I compared her S3 Display to mine and mine clearly have BETTER display quality!
Now, since I wrongly flashed N7100 Kernel onto mine and froze the Touch Module; I need a whole new screen assembly since I9300 LCD and Touch Digitizer seems to be HARD to dissociate
My question now is:
Will screen replacement makes mine lose the Super Amoled feature like my friend's one ?
Do I need a specific screen assembly ? If so, How do I identify this before buying it ?
Thank you in advance.
I think that your friend has got a lower quality replacement display. If you want to replace your screen, you should look not for the cheapest one or atleast do some research (check that display you will buy is original)

But HOW do I tell whether it's genuine (original if you want) or replicate (fake) ?
And FYI, she bought it for $100, isn't that enough to pay a genuine one ?
No, that isn't a genuine screen assembly. Buy it from a reputable retailer -if you can find one, not an ebay or amazon reseller.

But it's really HARD to find SAMSUNG Retellers here in The Bronx
Thank you anyway.
Just passing by... can't you just reflash your phone with correct kernel?

Already discussed :good:
There's NO miracle for this issue other than replacing the Screen (LCD + Touch Digitizer).
I understood WHY it burned the Touch Module lol N7100 uses bigger screen than I9300, so it pushes more power to the screen, unfortunately I9300 hardwares cannot hold such power. Maybe that's WHY N7100 have 1,6Ghz CPU while I9300 have 1,4Ghz (even if it's about the same hardware); also the battery voltage: N7100 uses genuinely 2600mAh while I9300 uses 2100mAh.
Anyway, I sold the device (as it was) now moving to something new (maybe another S3).
Hello people!
I just dropped my phone display first into the floor.
The only visible damage is a tiny arced crack at the right edge of the screen, but that was enough to screw up the whole touch screen because the phone seems to activate touch around the crack, which leads me to my first question:
1 - Is there a way to disable part of the touch screen?
I can live without touch in the area of the damage, just not without any working touch
2 - Is there a way to hardware test using a PC to evaluate the extent of the damage?
3 - Do I buy just the screen, the screen + LCD or screen + LCD + frame?
4 - How do I know which OEM of Ebay to buy? Can I trust the ones saying it's an original Sony Screen + LCD?
Thank you for taking the time to answer these questions. I do believe there are more people out there with same or very similar questions.

Thank you so much for giving me the answer I wanted to hear. Unfortunately I can't find any videos on how to do this for the Z2. Have you done it? I'm curious to know whether the display is allover glued to the digitizer as in the case of the Z1 or if it's just glued around the corners of the screen as in the M2. Mind you that this is simply observations I've made from watching youtube videos, so the above mentioned information might not be correct.
man, u cannot separate the display and digitizer . its a single glass. for Z2. u need to replace the single glass
You could try finding parts from aliexpress, try looking through the feedbacks before ordering.
Or if you are not too bothered by the cracks you could just put on a screen protector or a tempered glass screen protector.
Try going into youtube and search witrigs for teardown and repair videos.
Wish you good luck! ?

Hi guys,
My Screen cracked, i order a new screen. I install it right with instructions. LCD screen works about 1 minutes, but now the phone has so called ghost touches.
What might be a problem? LDC-screen is broken?

Yeah!
I did take a chance and purchased a new glass without display. Good news is I never got an opportunity to use it, so I might be able to return it. Bad new is I'm now buying a front glass and lcd.
Even though it might technically be possible to just exchanging the front screen, I would say it's highly improbable that you will successfully do so.
Judged by my level of technical tinkering, I would say that a vast majority of the people in this forum will probably fail in exchanging front glass without exchanging lcd.
I'm not saying this to put anyone down, but I'm giving you the advice I wish I would've gotten before getting over-confident.
So for goodness sake,
BUY FRONT GLASS+DIGITIZER+LCD, and save yourself both time, headache, and possibly money
Hi, i'm waiting for my Z2 replacement screen and i have a question for those who have changed it, does the sensitivity of the touch screen is the same like the original? I mean the option that you can use the phone with gloves...
Thanks!
How much did it cost u, repairing the screen
Hello,
My ZUK Z2 fell from a small height and the touch screen has the usual issue that works only for 2 sec after unlocking.
Can you suggest where to get a new Screen-Digitizer asembly; I wan a genuine one or one that is the closest possible to genuine. I have heard stories that some screens from aliexpress do not support multitouch and the LCD colors are off.
Can you suggest anything tested that ships to EU? (Greece).
Thank you
No one has ever changes a screen in this phone? Come on guys! Don't be shy! ;-)
