Hey guys, i have searched plenty of threads with no fix in sight. I was running stock J12 and flashed Frankin-Twiz Final. Flash went fine, but i have no data connection through Tmobile (3g or Edge). My apn is epc.tmobile.com and it is selected. Everything looks fine. I odin'd back to stock, flashed Bionix's newest and the same thing.
The thing that is weird is that flashing back to stock fixes the data connection, 3g and EDGE show up like they should. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I recently flashed to axura 2.2.7.0 with no problems. I then proceeded to flash the ka6 modem. The install went off with out a hitch. After rebooting I have not been able to get a 3g connection, wifi works just fine. I then thought that maybe I had messed up the install so I odin'd back to stock but I am still having the same problem ( i used JFD tar and 512 pit with repartition). My questions are the following:
1) is there a way to check the status of the radio (ie did i fry it)
2) is it possible for this to be a network issue?
3) any non hardware modification solutions?
**Edit** I have also attempted flashing different modems to no avail, any help would be greatly appreciated

there was a fix posted, but the real issue was not the rom, just t-mo data being out right?
I saw the fix moments ago, (original post was ~1AM) thank you. It seems that some how in the process of flashing and odin'ing i some how disconnected from the t-mo ap, as to whether this was an outage I have no idea. I'm just glad to have my phone working again. Thank you for your reply nonetheless.
Alright I have unlocked my bootloader flashed cwm recovery, flashed 2.3.4, flashed Navalynt's Mod, rooted my phone and data does not work.
I have tried restoring the apn and rebooting ~not working.
I have tried readding the apns from here... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1054164 ~not working
Followed the directions including flashing the new radio here... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1142835 ~not working
Does anybody have any ideas or maybe a forum thread I may have missed.
I really like the new version and sofar have no problems other then this data problem but unfortunately this data problem is a deal breaker for me so I guess If I cant get it working gonna have to downgrade.
Anyways I hope somebody knows what I need to do.
In the mean time I'm gonna go ahead and start over and try again.

i have had some weird issues, i found that resetting apn to defaults and flashing the new radio while on 2.3.4 helped my data situation, now when i first came over to the new rom, i backup up my apn list, but it shouldnt matter, have you gone through and manually put in the settings and rebooted
I figured out what the problem was. I flashed the experimental version of Navalynt's Mod. When I started over with the process I noticed that the file names didn't match up. After flashing the right one it works like a charm.

Got hit with this too. Tried every which way to get APN's working. Set defaults, choose one over the other, manual vs auto, and even APNDroid.
Reflashing 1.83 SBF now and going to try OTA 4.5.47 before anything else. Like most other Moto users I'd rather have a vanilla experience and/or CM7. At least I enjoy taking proper ownership of my hardware
Hello I have a question about ICS. I upgraded my Galaxy S2 from 2.3.6 tot 4.0.3 with the LUX ROM. I did wipe data and cache before I flashed the ROM. So everything went well, but there was no 3G connection. There is a little triangle at the top with: ! in it. It says Data connection lost because outside of home network. So, I tried the baseband that was working with 2.3.6. That was KI4 but still no luck. Tried other basebands with no luck. I can call and sms but there is no data connection. I also tried another ICS ROM (poland). Didnt seam to help either. So I flashed 2.3.6 back and everything is back to normal. 3G connection working.
So, why doesn't my data connection work on ICS roms? I also put the right APN settings btw. That cant be the issue since I also have to put those settings in GB. Same settings, but ICS still no data connection.

where you from mate? i had that problem before, i solved it through looking at the APN. check it first if you have tick it or not, if so check your proxy delete the proxy number.
Im from the Netherlands. The APN settings are the same as the settings I use with GB. And I have a data connection with GB. There are no special APN settings for ICS, right? And I dont have a proxy and I have ticked it ofcourse
Smells like wrong CSC for your location or baseband not working flash another modem .
But as you have tried it could also be a faulty flash flash again .

Hey guys, so over the last 2 hours I've been trying different ROMs to see which I like and give me the best data speeds.
During the process I thought I flashed the att JB radio but wasn't sure so I flashed it again.
After that no matter what ROM or what radio it will not fully connect.
It stays orange on tweaked aosp based ROMs but still gives some data connection, while on stock based ROMs it won't connect to data period.
I tried flashing some the mako 0.48 radio and nothing, then the JB radio, nothing, then the ICS and then the JB, nothing.
I thought maybe I messed up the EFS so I restored a backup and still orange no matter what. D-:
Please help me fix this.
Edit: Restored my Beanstalk backup from this morning and the data icon turns white
Edit 2: flashed stock JB and still doesn't connect.
Edit 3: connects fine, stock JB wouldn't connect because APN wasn't set.
So, I am on the nightly CM12.1 build for the hltespr Note 3 (N900P). This is the one.
I can't seem to find anyone else experiencing this exact issue and it hasn't been posted recently. I have no 4G/LTE service. I have toggled every setting both in the regular settings and under the *#*#4636#*#* settings and nothing seems to work. I was able to flash a stock rom and got LTE service immediately but again got nothing but 3G when I flashed CM12.1 back.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: Just wiped data, delvik, cache, etc and loaded the latest nightly fresh and I still get no LTE.
Same here i only get 3g on any room i tink it is something wrong with our modem im using the last kernel h1 let me know if u found the answer
Same here. I flashed Phronesis N5 v6.5 (with the CSC set to SPR and updated my apns-config.xml to a copy from my wife's identical phone) and have only been able to get 3G. I have reverted back to stock and 4G was up and running. This is my headache right now. We need to pull our heads together and get this figured out. My baseband is OK2 right now. I was thinking maybe upgrading to the PH1 would help. It's just odd it works fine with stock.
I just realized wilder90 said he has PH1 running and it's not working. Maybe I will still try it.
*Update- I rolled back to stock and upgraded firmware to PH1. My build says LRX21V.N900PVPUEPH1 but baseband and software still say N900PVPUEOK2. I have 4G working. Do I have to update baseband/software another way?
*Update- I downloaded PH1 from sammobile.com and flashed the update through Odin. Now all says PH1. 4G still working great. I am going to flash Phronesis again and see if there is a change.

I have 4G/LTE working. It doesn't have really any customization available but it works and it's new.
