hey, i have installed jbed (java app) on my x10, but when i try to run it, FORCE CLOSE dialog box appears, how to fix this one? i want to install java emulator on my x10, because i want to install java apps on my x10 like opera mini which can provide me unlimited and free browsing. is there any java emulator that can be installed on our x10? thank you so much!

There is an app called J2ME MIDP Runner, that have to be installed. Then go to http://www.netmite.com/android/srv/2.0/getapk.php , here you can convert any jar to apk. But it's not sure, they will run or not. Gl
Edit: probably jbed will come with a cFW, cross your fingers and hope the bootloader will be cracked

we have to use the JAVA version. Cuz the java version is modded so before it starts, we have to input so settings such as Proxy, Host, etc. then it will launch Opera with the inputed settings.

Opera mini works fine without JBED. Try it from the market.

yeah. but the opera mini in the market is not modded. i am here on the philippines, i have to use opera mini that is modded so i can use it anywhere without charges and even without wifi..

I tested Jblend.. but handlers doesnt seem to work... works flawless same settings for the handlers on my old java phone (lg cookie)

hi i have a huawei ascend m860 from metro, i downloaded jbed from umnet n tells me to push a file into another. i did it but when i hit java icon to start it, it says it crashes. my android is 2.1 please help, im not to updated with android but i luv it ty
even with me .. blurry ... looks like it.

I download Opera Mobile 10.1 Beta today from Opera's official FTP repository. It install successfully...however when I try to open it crashes. It shows the Opera Mobile logo for a second then gives a black screen and then crashes.
Anyone got the same problem?

For me it installed fine and runs fine, but have the following problem, don't know whether it's my lack of know-how or Opera 10.1 beta for Android just isn't behaving on LG GT540 :
2. When I try to edit "Start Page" , long press on any one of he squares brings up -Copy and Edit, but does not allow me to select either of them.
Anybody running it without this problem, please let me know.

It only works on android 2.1 or higher. It doesnt work on Android 1.6. Besides that, works fine.

If you want to have access to all apps on the market and your phone is rooted, download "market enabler". It will change your operator code to anything you like (e.g. you can change it to an US operator) so the market will show all apps available.

Thanks for the lite version of Skype. I've been looking for a way to save memory (since I think it makes my X8 run faster. )
I want to try skype on my x8, the problem is i am using the "smartass" governor.
When the screen is off it is running on low freq, result is that the sound is stuttering when i hold the phone to my ear.
Does someone has a solution for this problem ?
Skyfire 4 has been released this is a must I think for our devices.
1-install skyfire 3
2- open it and accept terms & conditions (this is important)
3-uninstall it
4- install skyfire 4

no need for the screen shot, I installed it already. just forgot to go back here because I was still playing with it. I think in accessibility of buttons, I still prefer the following:
1. Miren - top choice
2. Boat Browser - secondary
3. Net front browser - nice gui & good controls.
though the video feature of skyfire is blazing fast.. good. but I think the quality is a little bit off.
is there any other browser than skyfire can play flash video on our mini pro?

Just added skyfire 3 if you install 3 open it up, then install 4 you should get the video licence free

2- open it

Hi you must of done something wrong you need to install 3 first then open it and accept the terms and conditions. Then uninstall 3. Then install 4 and it will work

Have you tryed Google or the android market?
As far as i know there is still no support of any java emulator for 2.2, 2.3 that has succesfully worked. only its suported for 2.1.
Though it has past quite of few months maybe someone has found a way to get it working

There is one, but is buggy and has no arrow control, you need to use a keyboard with arrows and hold them down, I use GO Keyboard. It works fine for touch screen apps, like Top Gear though. It's here

firstly most of us dont like the new android market, here is an apk installer that will allow you to get your old market back!
i have tested this on my X10 mini pro and it works
1. Install the apk using app installer
2. Run OldMarket_v1.1.6.apk
3. Open Old Market and you Have two option
4. Choose Old Market
5. It will prompt you to REBOOT so click on reboot
6. Once the phone has rebooted test it out

Once the old market is installed, and you run it does it autmatically update them to the new market again?
And also you should link to the original dev.

Try freezing "market updater" using titanium backup. Or delete it maybe??

You can also stop the market updating itself by opening up terminal and typing:
su -
pm disable com.android.vending.updater
You will get a message to say its been disabled. I usually just use route explorer to move a copy of the old market (vending.apk) to system/apps and set permissions, run terminal with the above command and voila! Must say though, it will be nice to see how this installer works, especially if it cuts down on excess finger tapping..
I've never been able to use any of the new markets, its awful. Not sure if there's any weird issues with the internet around here but it was so hard to get anything installed. It could take 20 mins to install a single app, I could have configured my whole phone from scratch in that time!

Haha yeah i know what you mean, i had a few problems with some of the new versions as well, just like that but with mine it would never actually install. It would finish the download then say it was corrupt and could not install. Or something along those lines. But the newest one seems to work for me now. The only reason i want an old market is for the old theme of it.

no it doesnt update back the new market, i been using it often since i installed it and still got my old market!

But isn't ICS supposed to support all android devices, no matter what size shape or colour lol (correct me if im wrong about this). If that is true then it must be something else that is cause it to be slow? i mean that to me makes sense i dont know about anyone else.

My wife's phone recently updated to the new market, she has a htc wildfire and she says the new market if awful on that too. She had the phone waiting 10 mins to update an application!

Not all fones because mini pro never got past 2.1 so. Think how all phones and the new market is verry fast on new phones so was proberly mobile data problem
