Hi everybody.
I would like to know if Xperia 10 will receive the windows phone OS 7
Is it possible to install thatq OS on the Xperia?
Maybe it will be possible but after the bootloader has been cracked.. no one knows for sure. Keep in mind that the minimum ram requirement for Windows phone 7 devices is 512 so that also may be a problem...

if its possible then you will be able to install w7 starter or home basic
i'm willing to bet Sony Ericsson will invest into Windows Phone 7 and launch an Xperia-like unit (XPERIA X3 maybe?). If they do, they better not screw it up this time.

Hai guys...
I just wanna know that, is there anyway to use Windows phone 7 ROM on our android devices (like xperia mini pro).. As far as i know that many of our android devices meets requirements of wp7...
Why would you want to do that? WP7 isnt really good, if you just want it for the looks, check launcher 7
hi Guys,
i would ask you, if can anyone of us try to port Windows Phone 7.5 to Xperia X10 mini pro?? we only have lack in CPU it requires ArmV7 or Scorpion or above according to Microsoft Tech Days 3.
let's try to port it guys it has a lot of new features!
Only ArmV7? You have any idea how much it takes to port an Arm7 ROM to arm6?
Ever wondered why MIUI isnt ported to Mimmi? Same reason.
Also, wrong thread.
also why WP 7.5? :O why you bought Android phone when you want Windows Phone? for people who know how to use android is WP s..t

Ofc it's possible, no one argues with you there, it's just that it is going to take a whole lot of time to succeed porting it.

Well, it's an interesting challenge. And it'd be a great way to upset the Windows Phone owners which is always nice.
Don't look at me though. I'd have no idea where to even start..
minachvim Here great

Paul these specs are the same specs published in the event today therefore it's possible to move on with such specs! only need to add drivers to the boot image and kernel of windows phone and check something in the USB Com Controller to access the EPROM of the phone! thank you for the precious info mate
for the others here, i'm not offending any of you neither the android community by asking this question! i was imposing a challenge to our community to port the Windows Phone to our device too as it will show the world that we are the best here!
Windows Phone is now on Lumia 800 and 900 from Nokia therefore we can try to dump their ROMS and kernel and modify them all! i believe we can do it and nothing impossible! i'm waiting for a small time to get the windows phone setup and i'll start trying to port it!

Symbian o.s. is the only reason I've decided not to buy Vivaz Pro but to go for X10 Mini Pro.

Like your way of thinking...
Android pie is a major update in terms of the AI assistant but will not be coming to the Nokia 7. The Nokia 7 is less than a year old and its support has been dropped by HMD Global. This is outrageous, we just bought these...
Lets change their mind!

I'm tired with 4G issue on Andoird 8.1. So disappointed when have no Andoird Pie to fix this.
Maybe it will be updated, but on China so @nokiamobile doesn't mention it.
I will pray for this 'cause I just bought my Nokia 7 this month.

Don't worry you will get Android Pie. It is only that Nokia 7 does not come under the global support of Nokia. If you have followed the news, they have beta tested Android P for Nokia 7 as well among other devices. So, they are cooking it. Just give them some time and it will be updated. Do keep your hopes for Android O as well!
Its confusing as hell as the consumer. I really dont care to understand the relationship behind Nokia, Nokia China, HMD Global. They need to get their act together and tell me what phone gets what update (and where).

That is why Apple has succeeded. That is also one reason why Nokia failed in the symbian era. Each phone was its own closed ecosystem for the most part, and Nokia had the clout to encourage users to buy new phone for what was most needed (software features).
Nokia 7 will get andriod P update
Here the list of andriod p
hi,
I am thinking about buying Xperia 5 Compact (mostly because of its MHL output) but I was surprised that there are almost no Custom roms for it, how is that possible ?
I thought (since Sony advertises this phone as 'Open Device') that there will be a lot of custom roms to choose from.
Is there any possibility to upgrade this phone to ex Android 8 ?
I thought the same when I bought it 4 years ago, but being a more obscure device doesn't help. I have better hopes from my Pixel 3a tbh.
Also according to Berni-0815...

The closed source drivers originally made by qualcomm! I cannot manage them to work with newer roms like oreo or pie.
Maybe someone can disassamble or patch them; I can't. I'm sorry...

Hi,
I own the Teclast P10HD https://www.teclast.com/en/zt/P10HD/
I want to root it, and if possible install Android 10, I have searched the forums but found nothing about it (There's a thread about the older P10 which has different hardware).
Any help is highly appreciated.
I've been trying to root the device but traditional methods don't work as the boot partition can't be unlocked, also the key method used for other devices made by the same chipset manufacturer doesn't work either. There's a flashing tool provided by the manufacturer but it only works on Windows and I don't own a copy so I couldn't try it. Let's hope someone is able to unlock the device as the hardware is pretty decent
This device has something odd.
Antutu reports the same speed of a mate pad t8 and many other tablets, but it's not very responsive.
I think android is not very optimized for this unisoc, what do you think?
It get much nicer with poco launcher and mi camera but still it looks a bit slow for a 2020 device

you need to bear in mind that it has only 3 GB RAM, which is not ideal for a 2020 android device. I use it mainly for internet relating activities and social network apps. I installed some lite games and they work fine. Given its extremely low price, its value is good.
Did you manage to find any custom ROM that works on it?

The mate pad has 2gb so that's not the question.
The p10hd can run everything, it gives no problems but generally speaking it is not that fluid.
I know Huawei or xiaomi can probably add some optimizations here and there, maybe a version 10 of android and a teclast custom launcher could help it. Let's see if they prefer to launch new devices or are now working on those they already produce to experiment a bit.
However, unisoc is pretty good, now that chromeos is getting lighter, it would be nice to see it on this soc

Sorry but I didn't get this line. What is Unisoc? and what does chromium have to do with it?
By the way, does Teclast usually upgrade the software or are we gonna stuck to what we got?

No idea on teclast upgrade policies but I guess we're OK considering that m16 is still on android 8.
Unisoc is the cpu soc brand. It's quite cheap but not bad at all, I was only guessing how chromeos would run on it. Chromeos includes android and Linux apps, it's going to be an os we will find very often in the next years. I would try a color e-ink too in it, to make cheap long-lasting edu tools available to a huge lot of people: add the embedded 4g/5g connection support and you get wherever you want
