tmo update - Vibrant Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

has anyone gotten an ota from tmo? im curious because the gps fix should has been pushed by now and my girl just texted me asking why her phone is trying to connect to device manager. then she said she is getting an update from tmo. im waiting to find out what update it is. if froyo is being pushed then this is going to be a goood week.

1. Wrong forum
2. Use search
3. Check general, half the posts are about the update. It is not froyo but makes gps usable for most people.

Fantastic, I hope so, been dealing with Pandora bug for awhile now and its a well used app. Thanks

Correct posting location = Apps & Themes... just sayin..
Thank you for the newsflash though.
That's great. Shouldn't this be in themes and apps not development?
A rom called "pandora" and an update for it, where is the change log?
*shakes head* I guess common sense really is dead. That's a real shame!
Awesome thanks!
Anyone tested this yet?

Yeap,
Right now, running great...Now when I get home time to remove the skip limit.
Oh yeah, to the OP, thanks for the info but facepalm as to the section you posted it in.
is a full wipe needed? what kernel does it come with....
So before you all decide to keep flaming me for posting in this thread, check my post history I am fully aware of what the different forums are for as a matter of fact I posted a Question this morning in the Q&A Forum.
This is a universal problem across ALL ROMs and has been discussed in EVERY single ginger bread based ROM in this forum, and as such I felt it was the appropriate place to get as much dissemenation as possible. Please don't insult my common sense as I assure you I have plenty of it.
As for the quote of "Pandora ROM" I'm pretty sure my post was NOT entitled [ROM] or [Kernel] or [Mod] so give me some credit there... If someone who Moderates these forums thinks there is a better place for it feel free to move it, but the reality is I was trying to help as many people as possible, I didnt post something that says, "Excuse me how do I do an hboot or flash a ROM" I posted a universally applicable piece of information.
Have a fantastic day and for all of you flaming me enjoy your Pandora now that you know the fix has been released (even though it was posted in this forum)
Cheers.
Well I appreciate the info, updating now, thanks. And you had to know you would get sh*t on for posting it here. I'm glad you did as I don't search the other forums often.

same reason I did post it here!
Regardless of the reason it is still the wrong forum. Explain it however makes you feel warm and fuzzy but this is the development forum and a market app update is not development. Just saying.
Also if people didn't see it in the Themes & Apps forum they would have seen it when they loaded the market and saw there was an update available.
I could give two ****s where its posted. I'm glad I seen it cause I normally just browse my favorite threads.
Thanks again to the OP.
That's what moderators are for, just move it and be done with it already...

All 47 posts? Good job. Post in the right section next time. If you read the dev section requirements and rules, you would understand. And as for the tool who said thats what mods are for, mods are here for tools like you do they can kick you in the face with the BAN BOOT.
Thanks!
Patch notes say the fix is for the Evo 4G and several comments in the market app state it still skips on there phones.

I was using it earlier for about half hour straight and it played like it use to so the update was def a Improvement for me. I'll try it again later, using sirius right now.
EDIT**: I can confirm that Pandora does work now, after 2 hours so far, its still going strong. FLAWLESS!

Easiest/Simplest way to update ROM from the phone?

What's the best way to update a ROM like MIUI from my phone? Right now i get on the XDA app, navigate to the ROM thread and click on the link to download; then I open it via ROM manager.
Anyone got a better way? I have a feeling i'll need to do this quite often with the MIUI ROM being constantly updated and all. I saw the developers took the OTA updates out so... i dunno
Thanks!
I can't answer but the question and answer forum is your best bet.
Now that I read it that or general.

MIUI is updated within the Rom Manager app. Go into Rom Manager>Download Rom> and MIUI is in there. Simply download and flash it like normal.
Maybe I'm just nitpicking, but shouldn't this be basic knowledge to someone with enough activity to post in the dev section? For the same reason, shouldn't it be obvious that posting this in the dev section is like violating the first rule of Fight Club??? There are MULTIPLE stickies with this info that people spent good time and effort on putting together for the community. You could at least read those before posting without searching. I'd recommended re-reading the site rules before anything else though...

Manually install ice cream sandwich yet?

The official Ics has been out for the international version of the s2, and I've seen tutorials on how to install it early, but I was wondering if it was available for the i777? Or do we have to wait for AT&T to take their sweet time to release it? I've searched around the forums for this question so I would appreciate if you guys could enlighten me instead of just telling me to "search" like every other forum on the Internet. Thanks guys!

Why read? Just clutter these forums with garbage. Good call.

It's people like this that are making XDA a forum for lazy gimmie gimmie people. This is first and foremost a developer forum for responsible users. I'm not saying it's strictly for developers, just that people that are new here need to realize the forum was not created for THEM. it was created for developers and users that know what they are doing with their phones.

And another gone, another gone, another one bites the dust...
Thread closed. We have two ICS threads that will tell you EVERYTHING you need to know about ICS.

ICS in Canada on Rogers

Has anyone received ICS yet in Canada, I'm on the Rogers network, getting very impatient, let's hope we get the update by the end of the month.

Asking a question. Moved to Q&A. Note there are a few ICS threads already made. Please search before posting.
It has not yet been released as you can see by clicking System Updates.
I am very impatient too and wondering if flashing one of the ICS that is present there is worth it...

Sound output modifier

Hay guys, I have had this issue for a while now, but i was waiting to see if it was fixed in 4.2.1, but it wasn't.
The sound output to my headphones is not as loud as I would like it to be. I am running the latest leak of 4.2.1. Does anyone know anything that could help me?
Wait for kernel devs to update to 4.2 1 or flash 4.1.2 kernel with sound mods

I don't really think this would be applicable to be posted in any other section. I posted this in the hopes that i could be told how to modify it myself. Hence, develop something.
Next time, think before you go on someones thread trying to be a smart arse.

No, next time, read the rules before posting. You can only post here if you've developed something and want to share
If you tried to look around this section, you would notice it's nothing but ROMs
Questions go in the questions section. Report your post and ask for it to be moved
