I made Titanium backup of all my apps, but after restore, none of my Memo pad notes are there. Does anyone know where Memo pad files could be stored?
Thanks!

Titanium backup - messages and People not working..

Hi Folks
I used Titanium backup to backup my apps and stuff but it can never restore my contacts or any text messages. Even though it says that it has restored the data.
I cna restore games and other stuff no probs but the 2 most important things in a phone cannot be restored.
Anyone got any tips on how to get it to work?
Cheers
Kenny
I dont think Titanium backs up contacts or texts. Use sms backup and restore from the market to backup your texts. As for contacts, sync them to your gmail account and they will automatically be downloaded if the google servers see they are missing, like when you install a new rom for example
That, or use the Contacts Import / Export option from within the Contacts/People App. Works flawlessly everytime.
Thanks for the info folks!

[Q] automated cloud backup on prime

I do all my school work on my prime and really want to backup it up so I don't lose it. I've looked at different types of cloud storage but I haven't been able to figure out if there is a certain one that will allow for automated backup of my files on my tablet. I know that they are all capable of automated backup on an actual computer but is there any that will actually do this on the prime. Maybe they are capable of this and I'm just not seeing it.
Titanium Backup is key to all success. It allows for automatic backups to a Dropbox account. You can setup schedules for it to backup on a daily or weekly basis. It's the best IMO.

Um, sounds to me like he wants a way to back up his schoolwork, not his apps. For backing up apps I agree titantium can't be beat, and will sync with Dropbox so your apps are safely backed up online.
If you want to do the same with arbitrary folders, I would recommend FolderSync from the market. Lite version is here which will allow you to sync one folder to the cloud of your choice (It currently support multiple SkyDrive, Dropbox, SugarSync, Ubuntu One, Box.net, LiveDrive, HiDrive, NetDocuments, Amazon S3, FTP, FTPS, SFTP, WebDAV or windows share (Samba/CIFS) accounts)
You can automate the frequency of syncing with a high degree of control. Paid version will allow you to do multiple folder syncs. I find it great.
Hope this helps.

I would just use Dropbox, or a microsd.

Memos

Can I sync the memos created on my phone with Google or my iMac. If so, could you please share the procedure/steps to do it. Thanks!
If you created those memos through Samsung Memo app, then no.

Deleted contacts app for Zenpad 7 Z370CG, now can't make new contacts from other apps

I rooted my Zenpad 7 Z370CG and in the continuing quest to delete bloatware and preinstalled apps from the manufacturer partly to extend battery, I deleted the app for the contacts. I used other apps to manage my contacts but realized that these other apps could not create new contacts. I've already reset my phone even using the power on + volume down button method but the contacts app was not reinstalled as well as the other apps i considered as bloatware. I looked for the same app in Playstore but it was not there and other similar contact management apps from Asus were not compatible with my phone and would not install.
I'd like to just install the original app for the contacts if someone can lead me to it or send it to me. If not how can I reset my phone in a way that ALL apps, even those that considered and deleted as bloatware, will be back?
solved. now how do i delete this thread?

Can't restore all SMS, only a few with any app I try.

I've tried so many apps I'm losing track... basically everything in google store that has "sms" and "backup" in the title. I have a non-rooted S7 edge that I'm trying to move everything off to an LG v30. When I do a backup of SMS, either to SD card or to Google drive, if I look at the XML file, all the messages are there, but after the restore, I only get a few threads from 2017?? I'm completely stumped.
I believe you can use your Samsung account to backup all of your text messages....................that way you can restore at a later time. I do a backup of mine about every other week just in case something happens to my phone.
