I'm assuming it's the red-ish glow in the center? That's the only thing I notice other than my topic listed right by the mouse cursor...

Ahhhh...gotcha. I went back and looked at it again and noticed it this time. I just got my GS2 and it's still charging, but I'll take some pics when I turn it on and post back with the results.
Is this on all pictures you take?
Here's a picture I just took...

That's not as bad, but my Infuse had zero issues, same with my iPhone 3GS.
The lighting is pretty bad in this room as well, so that explains the difference between my photo and yours.
Edit: @SPIDERTECH: It seems to be on ALL photos in crappy lighting. Can't notice it during the day while outside.
Just googled the issue and there are tons of documented cases and complaints out there Seems to be an issue with the hardware.
Take a picture of something that isn't viewing-angle-dependent before claiming there's an issue please.
My first instinct is that the camera is somewhat IR-sensitive (this is EXTREMELY common in cell phone cameras due to lack of space for a hot mirror filter) and the screens being imaged have higher IR content when viewed dead-on. (In both pictures, the red spot appears where the camera is viewing the screen dead-on. In the first picture the camera was centered in front of the screen, in the second the camera was at the lower right aimed up and left.)

That explains a lot.....So it's not a hardware fault? Just a limitation?

I'll take a further look at it tonight, but IR sensitivity is not exactly rare in digital cameras, especially cheaper/smaller ones. Good hot mirrors (IR-blocking filters) cost money AND they're large.
Yeah I have the same problem, I took pictures of the tile floor at my parents house, and it had a red center to it also, is their a way to fix this?
Also for the love of god, why does this video camera not have image stabilization? every video is shaky as hell.

Can someone tell me if this is normal.
Alot of times, when I take a photo with low light, the flash causes the left and mostly the right of the picture to have the light of the flash on the sides. Keep in mind I have the phone sideways, but even if I hold it upright, it still sometimes has it on the bottom of the screen mostly. I dont know if its normal because I have seen much better low light pictures on here. I have that haze in ALOT of the pictures I take with low light. Kinda kills it for me. The thing is, I get the most ghost light on the side of the phone opposite where the flash and lens is, as you can see from the second photo. Most of the photos I take only have it on that side when the flash is used. The lens is on the left side, so I dont understand that. The phone is a week old and trying to see if I wanna return it for a new one due to these kinda problems. Ill also add one I took there with no flash on since there was more light for the hell of it cuz this one came out nice.

the flash may be causing the problem... try without it
A lot of Amazes do this for some reason. Mine don't, but there are quite a few threads posted about it. One guy actually took a marker by the lens and did something to help block out the flash and worked great for him. Try doing some searching under the general amaze sub-forum and see if you can find it. Will be an easy fix for ya.
That or get a replacement and hopefully it don't do it again assuming you have insurance.
Good luck!

Yeah I am still in the buyers remorse period of the phone for another 11 days. I believe I am just going to tell them to send me a new one. Being that I am still in that period, they actually will send a new phone and not a refurb. Thanks, I just found that thread. I dont know if I wanna do that with a new phone though lol. Should be working perfect

lol yeah man I said it only happens when flash is used =]
Did you ever figure this out? The same thing is happening to all of my pictures.
Thanks.
The amaze camera isn't that great at night.
I had this happen to me over the weekend, I took a number of pics and only one had the flash bleed like that, and nothing was physically changed on the phone. I thought it would possibly be my fingers, the flash reflected off them for the one shot, because I can't think of anything else. I have a small bit of electrical tape on my flash though to keep the flash bleed down, that was a slight issue I had at first. Not a big deal, pics come out great now.. Annoying though, because it is a new phone.
Attached pic of where I put the electrical tape, you can't see anything once the cover is on and there's zero flash bleed. Don't mind the crappy picture quality, it was taken with a samsung good thing it focused on the reflection off the lens
Hi.
I have a very annoying problem, there is a blue dot / pixel that only shows when I'm about to take a picture. It's like i have something on the lens, but I don't. Look at the screenshot and you'll know what I mean.
What can I do about it?
Problem is there on every rom I've tried and on different kernels. Tried clean flashes but it didn't help.
Thanks in advance,
pemell
Is it a screenshot or a picture of the screen of your phone made with another device.
To me it looks like a death pixel but that is something you should have discoverd by yourself when you use your phone.
How does the picture you made turn out?
It's a screenshot when camera is running and directed to a black background to make the blue pixel extra visible.
The blue dot sticks on the photos I shoot with the camera, I can zoom it and look at it.
Anything I can do about it?
I think your camerasensor is broken. I dunno which phone you have so i dont know how much it can costs to repair.
I have a note 2 but it should be repaired on warranty?
I think they will, but make sure you have stock ROM reinstalled and reset the binary counter to prevent warranty issues regarding sorftware

Thanks for your tip and your replies. I guess I have to send it to service but that sucks, such a annoying but small issue.
Could be a simple dust speck on the sensor. If you don't/can't open it up yourself, I suggest sending it for repair.
No problem mate. Good luck with your phone

Definitely, and warranty voiding, plus I'll be honest with you and tell you that most of the time dust on the sensor will be black, no matter what the color of the dust speck is.
Considering at low light the dot appears blue, and appears blue also at higher intensity of light, I would go with mrjraider and bring this to warranty/repair.
Conclusion here:
Just get it to a repair centre.. It might be under warranty you never know if you didnt try it.
I will, not worth taking the risk, thanks for guiding me.
Hello Z2 forum. This is my first post here, and i am a little disappointed that i start with a complaint.
Let's begin: I just bought my Z2, and i am so happy with it. But playing around with it ended in finding a kind of stuck / dead pixel. In fact, i don't even know how to call it. As my english is not good enough, i made a video :
video uploading.. sorry :|..
Link to video : http://youtu.be/p3vt7Pw2TJw
Link to video ( dropbox ) : https://www.dropbox.com/s/va0oli8v04jnoad/VID_20140708_233457.3gp
Always scan with virustotal : https://www.virustotal.com
That little pixel can also be seen when browsing on GooglePlay or when the button bar is black. As you might have seen in the video, when using poweramp the bar is still black but pixel's color depends on album's art color. My 2 questions are :
1. WTF ? ( nah, just kidding ).
2. Is this a ROM issue ? I don't know how the button bar is made. My only guess is that the button bar may be transparent in that area ( like using eraser on a image in photoshop ).
Thank you and please don't mind my broken neck english.

No, it's a hardware issue. I had the same problem with my Xperia SL.
It would be covered by warranty if there are at least three dead pixels.
EDIT: Can you see the pixel on the black section of the bootanimation/bootsplash when restarting the phone?

It also depends what angle you look at it from. The stuck pixel on my Xperia SL was visible on a few angles and changed colour as I tilted the phone.

Tried in several positions, i can't see it. Only when opening some apps ( the pixel is not visible in every app, even if the button bar is still black black ). Did they change yours for only one pixel under warranty ?
Go to service menu dialing *#*#7378423#*#* and check the display, especially by black or white screen you'll find if you have dead or stuck pixels.
Try going to a local SONY center. Costin, check pms.
Look in my attachments below.
I have opened 2 images. One green, and one red.
That motherf**** pixel that annoys me so badly, only appears on the green screen. What the ?
EDIT: That's the only reason i doubt it's a hardware problem and guess it's a software issue, but i may be wrong.
EDIT 2: My phone is also insured*. So in case i break it, i'll get a new one.
*for only 5euros/mo.

That I am facing the issue of a blue dot appearing in both rear and front camera of POCO F1 when shooting against the light in low-light. For example shooting a bulb etc. It is pops up even in daylight when the photo is taken against sunlight, but in day it yellow. Is it a defect? Tell me at the earliest so that I raise a replacement request. Official statement would be much welcomed.

This is perfectly normal.
Most camera lenses when pointed at a light source cause a light orb or ghost flare. Here are some links that explain this.
